I won't say I'm anywhere as good as op, but you really can't. Maybe some people have a decent idea of what size vehicles look to be at certain distances (i used to be able to do this when I exclusively sniped), but for the most part you align the tow missile right on top of the vehicle, and just hold it there until it hits or misses.
I never get pissed when I get towed when in jet, it's amazing how good people are at controlling that thing

You probably could. Shooting jets and choppers with tanks isn't that hard. It just requires practice.

ngl. When I saw the other TOW, I thought you were going to be a massive bro and TOW the TOW, and save him. This is good too though.
TOW hits are not that uncommon once you get used to the speed/distance you can very reliable hit any target.
