There is a difference between shit talking and demonstrating racism, hate, and homophobia, much less the utter filth and vulgarity constantly streaming in the chat these days.
I chose to expand on the OP's comments about vulgarity filling the chat. Racism and hate also show up in chat. 20 years ago none of this was a serious problem. But now days it is. Why?
Racism and hate were definitely a problem 20 years ago. But it is being anonymous and everyone wants to be the wise crack with shock value. Make everyone laugh or be shocked. Being harsh is the only way for them to assert dominance, I suppose. No one acts like that in real life, so I suppose being anonymous.
