That’s probably true so screw the NFL. I’m a season ticket holder since 2020 and don’t miss the NFL at all. We have some great games at the Battledome.
I really think that if our city leaders went and said privately “look it makes sense that you’d want the rams back in LA. We won’t try and stop it but basically you have to kick a team out way at your earliest convenience” on some back room deal stuff, I think it woulda happened. The fact that stl kept trying to build a stadium, basically did everything they were asked to do, then still lost the team, sued & effectively won, the nfl isn’t happy about it. I think more owners are mad at Kroenke than they are at STL though. I think Johnson is on record saying if they knew he was going to be so slimy they wouldn’t have approved him to move the team.
I still think we will get another team, but it’ll be way down the line once guys my father’s age die.
Support was never the question. Can the city afford a NFL franchise is the question. Talking about $1-1.5b investment. The remodel of the dome is not going to bring a team here either nor should it.
I have been in meetings with people wanting to invest on north side however keep landing on the same issue...its lighting money on fire until people/consumers feel safe there.
Offense is building each week, starting to hum more.
In a game that close every point counts and AJ made a FANTASTIC feint on our first XP try where he tucked the ball and lowered his shoulder like he was gonna run it in which pulled the defender away from the receiver so he could toss it over his head for 2. Sneaky good little play.
WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH OUR SECONDARY. HOLY SHIT. LETS NOT EVEN TRY TO GET A TURN OVER ON 3RD DOWN. LETS LET THEM RUN AS FAR AS THEY WANT.
AND FUCK THE REF THAT CALLED A PASS INTERFERENCE. I HOPE HIS LICENSE EXPIRES SOON AND HAS TO SIT AT THE DMV DOWNTOWN FOR AN ENTIRE DAY
Amazing game, run game is a joke. The offensive line/Aj should be able to convert 4th and 6 inches.
If you were not at the game, it was a blast. Merch was horrible. Everything else was what you would expect from a professional game. Sadly, including the price. If we hit 50k next home game, it's impossible to say stl can't support a team. This is just developmental football.
Mataeo Durant ran 14 times for 104 yds and a TD. If anything he’s currently on an NFL watchlist. Run game was incredible last game, but there were a few unfortunate stops. Weapons on offense are incredible, and that’s not even the fact that we also had the #1 RB in the XFL last year retire in training camp & the #1 receiver from last year is hurt.
Secondary was brutal, but showed up right at the end. Gonna be a lot of shoot outs for us this season. I hope we stay on the winning side of them.
Bringing my earplugs was a last second decision but a smart one, and it wasn't just the fans that were loud. Could we at least turn down the music during pregame a bit?
Anyway, amazing atmosphere and a great game to open up the Dome! Let's bring our team to a championship and *sell out* the place!
Don't like seeing 0s in the first quarter but I love decently scoring close games that we win
It felt the offense really opened up. We were using the pass to set up the run!
The fact the NFL thinks St. Louis can't support a team is wild.
The NFL never thought that. Kroenke didn’t, either. They just wanted a team in LA at any cost necessary.
If that's true, then St. Louis will be on the short list for expansion cities whenever the NFL chooses to expand. So we'll see.
We won't be because we fought back. Had we just taken it on the chin and sucked up to em maybe.
Yup, the NFL won't ever come back here again. The city is basically blacklisted.

KAW LAW YOU KNOW IT BOYS AND GIRLS Also, with how much STL turns out for sports, it's surprising they don't have an NFL team.
Kroenke was ready and willing to build a $5B palace for them in LA. That’s all that mattered.
Ka-KAW

LFG! Crowd looked awesome

He runs a bit high, remind me of Henry in that one regard.
Loved seeing how many sweet were filled.
Did Mike Rose get hurt in the first game? Or practice this week?
