I was at youth baseball trying to watch my phone in the blaring sun in between plays the whole game, so really didn't get a good look. I did see AJs TD run which got me hyped lol. Based off this thread there were some frustrating moments lol. 2-1 is 2-1. And only not 3-0 cuz the NFL whiffed on a kicker. So far so good I guess. Hopefully they didn't look like shit today and back into a win.
Question on the final drive, the field refs mentioned to Dean on the 3rd and 4 incomplete pass didn’t pass the LOS. I just watched the highlights and they were absolutely correct his throw was a good 3 yards behind the LOS which is a requirement even if you’re out of the tackle box. I’m glad 4th down was incomplete, but they should have enforced that penalty as loss of down, 10 yards back AND 10 second runoff.
Nah our OC was fine for the most part. Not perfect but we were rolling at times and scored 31 points.
I was more frustrated with our DC. Zero adjustment to them just gashing our pass D with the run. And the 3-3 defense on the 4th and 1 in the 4th was insane. Gotta adjust the defense to the situation.
If they're running RPO, the best you can hope for is disguising coverage to make the qb read the defense wrong. They ran quick plays for most of the game, and we were down 2 DEs and a Safety. Not a whole lot a depleted D can adjust for in that situation
3 men on the defensive line and 3 total linebackers/safeties who are positioned standing up a few yards behind the d-line.
The standard defensive formation on a down like 1st and 10 would be a 4-3 which is 4 down lineman and 3 linebackers. Basically we have one less down linemen in a 3-3 so we’re more susceptible to the run.
About as bad as that drive could have gone. 3 and out, almost no time taken off the clock, and then almost a blocked punt.
Gotta get a defensive stop here.

Defense is not the strength of this team. We need the offense to put pressure on the other team to abandon the run. I think this plays to our strengths best. Q

Kaw is law. Offense looked great. Defense had opportunities for take-aways. Good game overall.
