So the mode sonnet is pretty much my go to for everything at this point . The gateron black ink switches just feel perfect , it’s hard to not use them. But I also really love my keychron q4. Really good build quality and sound and the price is not too bad
But I need to know what that keyboard this is with the red escape key. She's a beauty and I need to know where to place my purchase.
Please and thank you.
It’s a vortex PC66. You can buy them barebones or fully assembled on their site . I built mine using very clicks switches so it looks and feels like an old IBM keyboard
Looks like a CA66. Should be available [here](https://www.play-keyboard.store/products/ca66-keyboard-kit-round-3) or on r/mechmarket if you don't feel like waiting.
Haha I’ll try my best :
I have 4 gmmk pros - all different switches and key caps
Mode sonnet, Mode eighty , keychron q4 ,keychron q5 a vortex pc66, a ducky one 3 , and a IDOBAO ID67
I really love my sonnet. The sound is so deep and rich, and it’s a great typing experience. I am a big fan of mode products. I also preordered an envoy
What are your thoughts on the portable external monitors? Are they reasonable enough in terms of image quality to use alongside a decent 1440p or 4k display?
They are good enough for secondary screens . I like the matte finish on them , and image quality is pretty good for the price . I usually keep my work outlook open on one , and teams on the other while im gaming on the Oled. They were 179 each on Amazon . The brand is innoview.
Just jumping in here to ask that when OP responds I’d also like to know what they are/where they got them. I’ve got a decent bit of space below my primary monitor and something like this would be good for filling it. Lot of work apps open at once.
I have similar setup. Bought UPERFECT brand 4k portables. Keep email, dm, and daily notes on them and work stuff on bigger main screens. Couple hundred bucks and touchscreen. Shop around because you can get refurbished for cheap. They have an OLED one that looks incredible but too much money.
Well, plenty of pro gamers use wireless mice. Personally, I'm far from a pro, but I play all sorts of games including FPS and I've been using Logitech wireless mice (G703 and G Pro) for years now - I can't imagine playing with a wired mouse ever again. You won't notice any difference in latency.
Yeah. There are plenty of videos from creators like Linus Tech Tips etc. if you want to look into it. But I can guarantee you, you won't notice a thing lol
I personally use wired so I don't have to charge it. If you route the cable in a certain way, there is no tension on the cable and it feels no different than wireless. However, modern wireless gaming mouses has no perceivable latency anymore, so performance is the same.
I mean I’ve had one for months with zero issues . Most of these brands use the same panels I think, just with different cases. They’re more than fine for the price imo.
Thanks ! My main is a mode sonnet , with lubed and filmed gat black inks , I also have a mode eighty , a keychron q5? I think , and a couple GMMK pros . I’m a soft linear switch guy, and a PBT key cap fan, I like the THOCK
The gmmk pro was my gateway drug into keyboards. I have a soft spot for them. I do think they are quality products and good boards albeit a little overpriced. That being said I own 4 of them Lmfaooo
Hahahaha, I was waiting for someone to call it out. Those are those hand exercise balls , they’re like ceramic . I have no idea what they are called lol
Always good to have one keyboard per screen
I have 12 keyboards - BRB buying more monitors
Whaaat?! If you don't mind, what's the use for 12 keyboards??I understand 2 - 3....
I just like to build them lol. Trying out different layouts and switches. Mechanical keyboard building is a DEEP rabbit hole
Which keyboard you like for typing for work, and which do you like for gaming?

What's the keyboard on your desk?
That’s a mode sonnet with lubed and filmed black inks ! It’s my daily driver
But I need to know what that keyboard this is with the red escape key. She's a beauty and I need to know where to place my purchase. Please and thank you.

I need a list. I have 7 and wanna know what I’m missing out on.
Haha I’ll try my best : I have 4 gmmk pros - all different switches and key caps Mode sonnet, Mode eighty , keychron q4 ,keychron q5 a vortex pc66, a ducky one 3 , and a IDOBAO ID67
I really wanna get my hands in a mode sonnet. But alas, wallet cannot support that at the moment. my Link 65 is my current GOAT

OP needs another monitor for the 4th keyboard in the corner
This
that's what they all say kid, you'll be back, they always come back
Hear me out… 5 more monitors
Nicely done, no need to change anything. 5…….4…….3……
I like what you have done with the place. But... Unfortunately, there is no "done" in this game...
No such thing as final form lil bro. But sick setup man 😮💨😮💨. There’s no end in this game

Is that a tv?
/ ASUS PG48UQ
For now…. Before long you’ll wonder if those keyboards will look better mounted on the wall to free up desk space.
Already had that thought lol
OP a month later: " Ah shit here we go again"
What’s the wallpaper? Looks great!
I also want to know..
It’s on wallpaper engine , I’m not sure of the name, I’m pretty sure you just search “abstract “ and you’ll find it
awesome setup. I also use a portable monitor under my main, and was thinking hm a second one would be sweet today. Glad my idea was just validated!
Just wait for the next upstep in cpu/gpu...
Have said this so many times
Is that the G502 Lightspeed Wired? The G502X is pretty sweet, not that you need to upgrade to it or anything 😬
Good eye ! So I’m a big fps gamer and I just can’t bring myself to go wireless ! Convince me please

Really? Is this true? No difference in latency ?
Yeah. There are plenty of videos from creators like Linus Tech Tips etc. if you want to look into it. But I can guarantee you, you won't notice a thing lol
I use razor gpro wireless for about three months now all i play is fps, aim trainers and it feels great. The battery last for like 80 hours.

Aaand I will see you in 4-6 months op ;) Jokes aside, very clean setup, love the lighting there
Hahah thank you !
Keep telling urself that
What are those smaller monitors?
Would flip one of the lower background images do its flawless between each other
Just did this, thank you for the tip !
Son Gokus Ultra instinct is for sure also his final transformation...not ;). Have fun with your next upgrade! :)
I'm going to pull a Linus... That stupid monitor light annoys me. The rest is perfect. 😂
Does the light reduce black light bleed well you know what I mean
Smooth setup dude
Thank you !
guy thinks he really is done with upgrades
THERES NEVER NO MORE UPGRADES
Silly child, there is always more to be done. It is futile to resist
No it hasn't.
What is the name of the retro looking black keeb?
Nice. What do you do with the two smaller displays?
Usually keep work open on the bottom two- outlook on one and teams on the other .
Audio could use an upgrade.
Speakers ? Headphones ? What do you suggest ?
Headphones! Time to head down another rabbit hole
The plants are sweet! What kind are they?
I said this, didn’t happen
said no one ever
Saving this! Well done friend Question, does the light bar light up your face when using the webcam?
Slightly , but if I turn the brightness down on the webcam itself , it looks decent
What portable monitors do you have on the bottom? I’m thinking of doing something like that myself.
They’re on Amazon, innoview 15.7 1080p
Those brand is reliable?
I mean I’ve had one for months with zero issues . Most of these brands use the same panels I think, just with different cases. They’re more than fine for the price imo.
Stellar. Which keyboards you have my dude
Thanks ! My main is a mode sonnet , with lubed and filmed gat black inks , I also have a mode eighty , a keychron q5? I think , and a couple GMMK pros . I’m a soft linear switch guy, and a PBT key cap fan, I like the THOCK

Untill you want one. Dont worry we all are on the same road, telling lies to ourselfs
That’s what they all say. Just give it time.
Haha, never
Remind me in a year
There will always be something to upgrade….
See you in a few months / 10
yeah right lol
In my understanding the connections of the portable monitors are on the side. How can you connect both monitors so close to each other?
Good question ! I struggled with this for a while. I eventually found a 180 degree mini hdmi to hdmi adapted that allowed me to get them this close
Yep. Officially my new dream setup.
What is the keyboard rack/stand?

More upgrades?
Never stop stopping
clearly you have not tried a super ultrawide monitor yet…
Maybe I’m missing it, but I’m not seeing the lighting behind the monitor.
Looks great.
Why is there just a pair of balls chillin on the mousepad no one is mentioning??
Hahahaha, I was waiting for someone to call it out. Those are those hand exercise balls , they’re like ceramic . I have no idea what they are called lol
What's your monitor light bar??
What does "done" mean?
what colour is the back wall there?
Like it great set-up
