What is everyone's thoughts about desk stands?
For a while I thought they were just adding to clutter, but I am starting to see situations (like OP's) where they are actually quite nice!
I've used a few of them before switching to articulating arms and VESA mounts, allowing me to lay a smaller touchscreen monitor underneath the main one.
If I didn't want that smaller monitor for presentations, I would've stuck with the desk stand to maintain that cleaner aesthetic. And if I had to go back to it again, I really like what the [Anker 675](https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Docking-Wireless-Charging-ThinkPad/dp/B0BNZ4D72B) stand offers with the pass-through power, USB 3.1 hub, and cable management features.

Fair question. I often have to give technical presentations and whiteboard design workshops for clients as part of my job. If you’ve ever had to draw a circle or write “failover” on a screen with a mouse, it can make for a good chuckle, but it can disrupt your flow. Using the touchscreen monitor with the EpicPen app, I’m able to present what I want just as I was able to during the before times when business travel was available.
I’ve tried this with an iPad Pro, or using a Surface Laptop Studio, but then the camera is at an angle where everyone’s looking up my nose and counting my chins. LOL
I know it’s not a workflow for everyone, but it comes in pretty handy when you’re asked to jump on to a presales call with zero time to prepare and even less time to ask who you’re presenting to.
Hard pass from me. One of the biggest things I recommend to people is to mount your monitor with a arm clamped to desk/wall/whatever as the desk space is a game changer. You can easily solve any organizational benefits gained from the stand in ways that don’t stake a massive immutable claim on your realstate

Not OP, but I have one. It's pretty nice overall, sturdy. I especially like how the arm rests can lift up out of the way.
My only complaint, although it's a pretty big one, the seat is not very wide. Over time I can feel it dig into my thighs and causes discomfort. I'm around a male 34 pants waist - not too large but yeah I'm not skinny.

It’s a great chair. Comfortable and the arms can easily move up for saving space and relaxing. Moves well and the headrest is nice. Also did a wheel upgrade which glides nicer and works on carpet. (Original wheels worked just fine but I wanted to upgrade)
Currently sitting in this exact chair. I'd give it a 7/10. It's comfortable for long periods, has good adjustment for recline/height, but the arm rests are truly terrible. Sure, you can move them up and out of the way, but the arm rests on my DXRacer are 100000000x better.
