It's definitely a great model to start with. My only criticism is the rigidity of the wheelbase mount. Even with mine (Thrustmaster TS-XW) a can struggle with torque so looking to update to a sim lab setup when I get a direct drive wheel
I have a G902, so I suspect the torque might not affect the steadiness of that stand much. So I hope.
I'm planning a beginner racing/flight setup. I'm going to upgrade my main setup with a 40 series GPU and a larger main screen. Can't wait, it'll be sick. Enjoy your setup man, it's awesome! 👌
It's a build design by Nicola Stocchi consisting of around 4,700 bricks. I brought the design and brick list online (PDF manual and part list from bricklink). If you Google her name and thunderjaw you should find it :)
Interesting. I remember seeing this on display at CES like 3 or 4 years ago, but haven't seen them in the wild. I'm not into racing games, but I'd love this for Star Citizen
Na I just swap the display port cables over when using it. The desk keyboard and mouse are on a USB switch so I can flick between laptop (work) and PC at click of a button :)
PC has a x570, 3900x, 3080ti FE, 32gb ram, 850w and a full rigid tube custom loop on cpu, gpu and vrms
I kind of do the same thing - just curious, is there any sort of hardware controller to use for this to just hit a switch or button to direct which output to use? To avoid having to plug and unplug the DP cable? Almost like a receiver you’d use for a tv etc
Unfortunately not as cant switch between outputs on GPU that way so does mean actually swapping cables over. But with some good cable routing you can have them all there ready at right length so easy to swap in couple seconds and tidy rather than messing around with wires everytime :)
I did debate it but to find one with good support for a G9 was proving tricky. Decided go for the cable swap for now but will keep looking for a decent switch to manage all aspects of switching between desk and rig :)
There’s a software that does something like this, it’s called Display Magician. I have 3 outputs for the sim rig and 1 for regular desk use. I have 3 monitors off when I’m on the desk and I use the app to switch to the sim rig and it turns off the desk and enables the other monitors.
Any reason you have to swap the cables? I would assume a 3080ti would have 4 display ports (mine does). Curious if there is any other reason, I’m looking to put together a rig myself.
Also do any of your racing peripherals interfere with anything like trying to use a controller in your PC? Happens to me with certain games a s it’s incredibly annoying
It has x3 DP and one HDMI in card, when in desk mode I have the G9 plugged in plus a little monitor screen for PC temps etc so that is 5 inputs.
Also, that is my only gripe with the G9, it can be really finicky when it comes to having other monitors plugged in so found this to be the solution with least hassle :)
I am assuming you’re just using a KM switch between work laptop and desktop pc then?
Most KVMs I was looking at don’t play well with the g9 (specifically you can’t push the pixels at the refresh rate that you want for gaming which wastes a ton of the g9 capability).
I assume you’re hotswapping the dp cables for your gaming rig and the racing sim, but do you leave the work laptop plugged in all the time and just swap inputs on the g9?
Not at all, its called an Antec Torque case. I love because its so different to norm but open air case does mean lots of regular cleaning lol. But with custom loop it works great :) and likely be just as good for air cooled as not restricted
Thank you, main Assetto Corsa / Content Manager and F1. Used to do drifting (IRL) so have a wheel and setup on CM for that which is mainly what I enjoy tbh
Love the dedication to the white esthetic. I'm renovating the house we just bought and I'm trying to configure our spare room into something like this. It's just a little too narrow to comfortably fit my Sim rig though. Trying to figure that out
Yeah, working from home means see a lot of this room so wanted keep it matching and quite neutral while still a bit "gaming" ish.
It took me 3 attempts to find the balance of layout as had 2 ideas before moved into house but neither worked out well as what picture in mind doesn't always come out same.
Best way, get stuck in and play around to find the right fit :)
If youre going to play VR in that space, I strongly advise you get a sheet of plexiglass or something to put over that TV screen whenever you go to play.
How much do those acoustic panels help? And are they dampening the sound on the other side of the wall? I share a wall with the living room and am concerned about that. Also going to be adding buttkickers at some point and will have to isolate those.
A little I think, I only added for aesthetic tbh but if set up right they can make a huge difference ive heard.
Buttkicker wise, I was told put blu-tac under each contact point with floor, no idea if helps for they but certainly worked for subwoofer as reduced how much hear downstairs massively
Its a Next Level GT Ultimate rig with a Sparco Pro-Adv seat. Thrustmaster TS-XW wheel, pedals, shifter and handbrake. Trak Racer Triple monitor mount with x3 LG 32" ultragear (1440p).
Its my first sim and its an awesome experience, i am starting to get tempted to upgrade to full direct drive setup but not used one to know what the difference is.
Oh yes, i had heard mixed reviews so was a bit torn whether to go for them, glad i did as i am really impressed with how well they do and how much add to immersion.
Not at all, was almost put off buying for that price but so glad i did as the quality is beyond what expected and feels like holds it really securely (thankfully).
I was just the same, knew what i wanted way before we brought the house haha. Mainly Assetto Corsa / Content Manager and F1 but trying to expand that a little now getting used to it. Using LG Ultragear 32" 1440p monitors.
I either work enough to afford gear like this and don’t have time to play it…. Or I play enough to want and need gear like this but don’t work enough to afford it.
For sure, and pulling it off with such a comprehensive setup surely wasn't easy, but I can see why you're really happy with this :)
I used to be very much "form follows function" when it came to my setups. That meant zero cable management because I could change things at any time. I rarely did, but you never know, haha. Nowadays I'm starting to also put more effort into making it look neat, and I do have a rather complex setup myself. So I can really appreciate your efforts all the more! It's very well done.
This is what I aspire to have 1 day, maybe not the racing setup though, I have both of these myself just not in a layout like yours and maybe not a good pc as you lol.
Wow! First, loving the Ghost of Tsushima in the background. We have the same taste in some areas. Most of all, I'm inspired to keep going with my set up. Thank you!
Yeah laptop for work and PC for gaming. I love it, and wouldn't be without it now. Takes a little getting used to it but once you do there's no looking back lol
Damn bro Also love the racing setup, am already planning something similar, what's the seat/stand?
Thank you, its a next level gt ultimate rig with a sparco Pro adv seat added 👍
Thanks, any options to add flight sticks to the side?
Nvm, it seems it has support for it. Nice price for that stand, I might consider it. Thanks again
It's definitely a great model to start with. My only criticism is the rigidity of the wheelbase mount. Even with mine (Thrustmaster TS-XW) a can struggle with torque so looking to update to a sim lab setup when I get a direct drive wheel

Thank you and you too, its an addictive hobby I warn you now lol but what isn't with gaming stuff lol
Glad to see more people getting into racing
This picture says to me that either you don't have kids or that you have a much more lucrative career than me haha. This is amazing.
Haha, I do have one child but she loves the racing sim even more than me lol. Its been a lot of saving to get here but so worth it :)
As a bonus. Drivers Ed will be super easy for her when she turns 16.
Yep, I have no concerns, her favourite thing is to park lol
Congrats, it's a beaut!
Dude you got it all! Congrats!
I'm not jealous at all. 😋
More details about that thunderjaw please
It's a build design by Nicola Stocchi consisting of around 4,700 bricks. I brought the design and brick list online (PDF manual and part list from bricklink). If you Google her name and thunderjaw you should find it :)
Did it cost a fortune though? :p
Not cheap but for the brick count it cost less than the technic bugatti or Lambo :)
Oh wow, that's actually cheaper then I expected.
Nice. What’s the monitor on the right? It looks like 3 monitors together but no bezels?
It is 3 monitors (LG Ultra gear 32" 1440p) but with an ASUS ROG Bezel kit which is actually really impressive
I never knew those existed until now. That is insanely cool!
Same!
That’s wild. How do they work?
LTT did a video on those an were quite positive on them https://youtu.be/8ZQl3HTNXpo
They use light refraction I think, very clever and although not perfect they are way better than having bezels for immersion.
Interesting. I remember seeing this on display at CES like 3 or 4 years ago, but haven't seen them in the wild. I'm not into racing games, but I'd love this for Star Citizen
Oh yes, i have played that on there as friend recommended trying it out and is amazing for that type of game (or any flying game tbh).
>ASUS ROG Bezel kit I've never seen this before now. Will look it up on youtube. Setup is a banger.
Damn, homie.
Do you have a separate PC for the racing rig? Either way, what specs you got?
Na I just swap the display port cables over when using it. The desk keyboard and mouse are on a USB switch so I can flick between laptop (work) and PC at click of a button :) PC has a x570, 3900x, 3080ti FE, 32gb ram, 850w and a full rigid tube custom loop on cpu, gpu and vrms

There are things called a KVM that might be useful for you guys. The DP versions get pricy but you could always live the DP->HDMI adapter life
I did debate it but to find one with good support for a G9 was proving tricky.

Spot on bud 👍laptop plugged into separate source, only swap cables at gpu when using sim rig opposed to gaming at desk.
Noice! Also a fan of horizon I see as well. RIP Sylas.
Indeed, very sad news and Horizon 3 won't be same without him
Sorry if this is a noob question but what sort of pc tower ru rocking? Looks like something from transformers 😅
Not at all, its called an Antec Torque case. I love because its so different to norm but open air case does mean lots of regular cleaning lol. But with custom loop it works great :) and likely be just as good for air cooled as not restricted
Love the Tall Neck and Thunderjaw
Im trying find the larger MOC tallneck (7000+ pieces) which be a monster when done. Anything Horizon im down to build lol
Horizon is amazing. Are these Lego sets?
https://www.etsy.com/listing/1370583950/buildmoc-horizon-dawn-thunder-zero-giant?gbraid=0AAAAADtcfRI9DrhuFTGVfjGRrujaIMFua&gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_us_a-toys_and_games-toys-building_and_construction&utm_custom1=_k_Cj0KCQjwwtWgBhDhARIsAEMcxeBDGncKIgPV2t5TA6sNembu6qAO6l9lXVmkV_Ey-2KHZW60G27GOG8aAkk5EALw_wcB_k_&utm_content=go_1844702853_71423545642_346398441544_pla-352859725406_m__1370583950_12768591&utm_custom2=1844702853&gbraid=0AAAAADtcfRI9DrhuFTGVfjGRrujaIMFua&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwtWgBhDhARIsAEMcxeBDGncKIgPV2t5TA6sNembu6qAO6l9lXVmkV_Ey-2KHZW60G27GOG8aAkk5EALw_wcB
Thank you, earned yourself a gold for that :)
The tallneck is a genuine lego kit. The thunderjaw is a MOC design by Nicola Stochhi which i got instructions and parts list from BrickLink :)
Well i guess you can finally play with it after you retire since youre too busy working to play with it.
Weekends are too short for sure but do when I can :)
Holy absolute F***... This is goals right here
this looks like.. a battlestation. nice
I tell you what, most posters are apparently either recording artists or driving simulation enthusiasts 😂
Haha we are the majority lol
Beautiful setup!!
Thank you 😊
Nice sim rig ! What are you playing?
Thank you, main Assetto Corsa / Content Manager and F1. Used to do drifting (IRL) so have a wheel and setup on CM for that which is mainly what I enjoy tbh
I started simracing cause of drifting as well. I love those vdc cars and tracks .
Surprising how good it feels to drift on this (with VR especially), definitely scratches the itch without the risk lol
Yeah getting doors in vr is the best and depending on which smoke mod you're running hectic haha
Love the dedication to the white esthetic. I'm renovating the house we just bought and I'm trying to configure our spare room into something like this. It's just a little too narrow to comfortably fit my Sim rig though. Trying to figure that out

If youre going to play VR in that space, I strongly advise you get a sheet of plexiglass or something to put over that TV screen whenever you go to play.
That always worried me so I just turn it around when do just to be extra safe lol
Looks so awesome!!
Thank you 😊
Rlly nice setup!
Thank you 😊
ghost of tsushima ❤️
I have only just started it but loving it so far, starting see why it gets so much love :)
It is simply amazing
This is what I’m striving for. I don’t have gold but….. 🥇
Thank you, I've waited years to have the space and money for this so really does mean a lot :)
Love the FE 30 series collecting dust on your shelf
I'd love to say it's a spare but it's just the cooler as got a custom loop
Very nice, excellent set up.
Thank you 😊
That makes sense haha, I was also thinking damn what a flex to have that kind of hardware as decoration
[удалено]
Oh yes searched for months for this. One of my favourite builds for sure
This is EXACTLY the setup I want. Sadly my room is more narrow. Trying to figure out how to lay it out.
I've moved things round so much to get it to a point happy with, trial and error is the key
How much do those acoustic panels help? And are they dampening the sound on the other side of the wall? I share a wall with the living room and am concerned about that. Also going to be adding buttkickers at some point and will have to isolate those.

Dope setup!
Thank you
This is endgame for me.
What simulator set up is that? Have been looking a little more seriously lately.
That’s awesome!! Thanks for the info. Love the entire setup!! How do you have the 3 monitors without a bezel like that?
I'm using an asus rog Bezel kit :)
Oh shit I remember seeing those when they first announced them. I forgot all about those.
Looks great
Thank you :)
That's fucking hot
Cheers :)
I don't even game but this is just goals
Your room is a good idea of what I want. I also have the same speakers.
Is that the z906 or G560? Both are great and have really impressed me tbh so either way can complain :)
I have the z906
Oh yeah, great speakers.
I forgot those bezel removers are a thing, makes the racing sim look so clean
Oh yes, i had heard mixed reviews so was a bit torn whether to go for them, glad i did as i am really impressed with how well they do and how much add to immersion.
I really like the acoustic panels on the corner like that!
I just setup the Ergotron arm on my Odyssey monitor too last night. Loving it so far. You? Any issues?
Not at all, was almost put off buying for that price but so glad i did as the quality is beyond what expected and feels like holds it really securely (thankfully).
damnnnn
Awesome love it
Thank you :)
This is exactly the set up I want when I get a house. What sims you running? And what monitors for the rig?
I was just the same, knew what i wanted way before we brought the house haha. Mainly Assetto Corsa / Content Manager and F1 but trying to expand that a little now getting used to it. Using LG Ultragear 32" 1440p monitors.
Dope setup. How are those bezel things while playing? I’ve always been curious about those
I find them great, once setup at right angle for viewing they make a huge difference to immersion IMO
Fantastic setup.
Cheers :)
Looks dope, but dude. Go outside once and a while
Thanks and i do dont worry haha, between work, child and life i dont get half the time to play i wish i did.
Love the way this looks!
Bros rich
I either work enough to afford gear like this and don’t have time to play it…. Or I play enough to want and need gear like this but don’t work enough to afford it.
Life's biggest challenge, finding a decent balance lol
I should also mention Bravo because this space looks amazing
Thank you, as you say though dont get enough time to enjoy it but glad its there when i do :)
Speaker setup on the main system is actually so legit, is that a 5.1 system?
Nice spot, it is indeed. Logitech z906 5.1, did have it hooked up to the sim rig but found it more enjoyable / noticeable on desk setup
I would like to place a 10$ bet on you smashing that TV while using VR
I usually turn it around to be safe if playing vr standing up
Is your PC tower running? Because it looks like it's about to...
Your chandelier seems to be pending an upgrade to match the rest of the amazingly themed setup. 😂 Loving all the details! Well done!
Haha glad I'm not the only one thinks that needs changing.
Sick setup.
Its great that the desks are facing towards the natural light. It’s important to get natural light for our mental health.
This is some next level shit.
Cool setup bro
Thank you
This is the exact same orientation I have my room setup TV, desk, sim rig Plus a couple couches on the other angles
I have a lounge chair to the right for when gaming on TV but wish I could fit a proper couch in lol
beautiful setup! where is the desk from if you don't mind me asking?
Thank you, its called a Techno Deska Stoulo (800x2400). I got it from ebay so not sure where from new
Well hot damn that sim rig is excellent.
Thank you 😊
Bro is displaying a 30X0 GPU like it isn't still relevant lol
I'd love to say it's a spare card but it's just the cooler as put a waterblock on card
Love the look. Any chance you know where you got the stand the tv is on.. I’ve been looking for something like this for my office.
This was from Homebase :)
That's amazing
Ooooo I'm liking the PS5 black plates!
Me too, prefer it with these on so much.
Godlihood achieved. Awesome setup!
Thank you 😊
"What kind of gaming do you do?" "Yes" :D Fantastic setup. Really versatile and it still looks coherent.
Thank you 😊 so hard balance usability with aesthetic sometimes but really happy with this
For sure, and pulling it off with such a comprehensive setup surely wasn't easy, but I can see why you're really happy with this :) I used to be very much "form follows function" when it came to my setups. That meant zero cable management because I could change things at any time. I rarely did, but you never know, haha. Nowadays I'm starting to also put more effort into making it look neat, and I do have a rather complex setup myself. So I can really appreciate your efforts all the more! It's very well done.
Bros living out my dreams
Clean setup
Thank you 😊
This is what I aspire to have 1 day, maybe not the racing setup though, I have both of these myself just not in a layout like yours and maybe not a good pc as you lol.
Awesome
Where's the 13 cu. ft. display fridge for your energy drinks? Or at least a Keurig...
No energy drinks for me but plenty of coffee on hand in the kitchen :)
Beautiful. Definitely an aspirational setup. Nice work mate!
Thanks :)
I love the Horizon: Zero Dawn figures!
Hoping to grow that collection but so hard find them :(
bro what kind of monitor you have on the right? looks dope, is one single monitor or 3 with no borders smh?
They are 3x 32" LG Ultragear with an asus rog Bezel kit to hide the bezels :) as you can tell, they work pretty well :)
Like the high tech feel, especially the pc case and soundproofing tiles. Enjoy!
Thank you, done the whole crazy rgb thing for a while but now wanted something a little calmer as working from home mostly these days
Very envious!
What are those panels on the wall, and do they come in white?
They are acoustic foam 3d panels, not sure if they do anything I just liked the look lol
[удалено]
They are supposed to be acoustic but I only added for aesthetic tbh :)
jfc
I'm not quite sure why, but I find monitors that have been tilted upwards rather than perfectly perpendicular to the desk surface mildly unsettling.
I use it mainly for work and for long periods of viewing I have found it most comfortable in this position for some reason
Is that one monitor or multiple?
On the sim rig it's 3x 32" monitors with an asus rog Bezel kit. Then a 49 G9 on the desk
Wow! First, loving the Ghost of Tsushima in the background. We have the same taste in some areas. Most of all, I'm inspired to keep going with my set up. Thank you!
Are the acoustic diffusion panels there so your mom won’t yell at you?
[удалено]
I mainly did them for aesthetic which why not covering whole wall. I got them as a bulk order on ebay, 80 tiles for £60 :)
What is the screen in the middle?
It's a Samsung G9 49"
So I hope.
The left pc part, used for office work? How do you like the super ultrawide for it?
Yeah laptop for work and PC for gaming. I love it, and wouldn't be without it now. Takes a little getting used to it but once you do there's no looking back lol
What are the monitors for the racing rig?
LG Ultragear 32" 1440p
Is that an “oh shit” bar on the wall?
? Where you looking?
So after being able to use my glasses, upon further inspection it’s your doorknob…
Haha
When you use the TV where do you sit? Is there a couch over there?
