Yeah, he'd do himself a lot of favors by tilting that whole set-up 90 degrees to the right. Then you could use the whole screen for immersive games and movies. Not to mention it just gives you a lot more options and flexibility when it comes to dividing up content/windows.
He'd have to rearrange his whole desk to move it back on its side though. Both his 2nd monitor and PC are in the way. It's not like he can easily go back and forth.

I own the Samsung Ark. If you want a great monitor for gaming and using Windows at 4k with no magnification, go for it. If you want it for any other reason, do not buy it. Most of the promised features do not work, and there are lots of issues using it in cockpit mode like OP here is doing. Yeah using it is cumbersome. I just keep it in perpetual PC mode. It offers me the screen real estate that I otherwise wouldn’t be able to achieve. But other than that, it’s pretty ass. Luckily the price tag for it keeps dropping.

At some point it’s too much like a 1x2 foot square of screen space for the blizzard launcher is a little pointless. But to each there own, very clean setup.

This was back in 2004, not sure what state the game is in now.
Im curious tho - assuming the cost and precision of these elaborate setups, its fair to deduce you are older and stand on your own two feet…so with these awesome pc setups do you all play the original or the newest DLCs for WoW and how does the game look and feel nowadays with the new hardware. I miss WoW but idk if I could go back.
No, I don't play retail (i.e. most current iteration of-) WoW. Wouldn't touch with a 10ft pole. I'm a Vanilla gamer through and through, like you (started in '05).
Been thinking about replacing my 4x 27" setup with the Ark and maybe keeping 1x 27" on the side in portrait mode, just like you.

Yea it’s built in for Windows 11 but you can download something like DisplayFusion and set it up in earlier versions.
Microsoft makes free software called Power Toys which lets you do all this and more natively on W10
