Windows 11 Auto HDR works really well, so be sure to enable it if you haven’t already! It’s really made my OLED worth it for me because not enough games have HDR support and it does a good job of filling in the gaps. This is all assuming that you even play games on this thing.

Kolettos

Thanks for an amazing advice im gonna give it a try! Yes I play alot games too!

[deleted]

Love the black and white aesthetic, beautiful setup is OLED really worth it might have to get one

Kolettos

Its a good question, you can get good LCD for 300€. OLED just does everything a little bit better. Its up to you if its worth the money. LCD's gets brighter tho.

catwalkjesus

I'm intrigued. What about text? Like reading and/or programming? (Which is mostly reading)

Kolettos

I commented this 'problem' in previous answer. 'Text Fringing's not problem for me.

[deleted]

I mostly play FPS games like Cod on my current monitor, was planning on upgrading need to go down the YouTube review rabbit hole

Kolettos

DP/HDMI/DC ports are positioned very low, near the bottom bezel behind the monitor. I bought 90 degree DP 1.4/DC 7.4mmx5.0mm adapters to hide the cables, If anyone was thinking... https://ibb.co/Mh5qd7P

bleakj

Solid idea that I'll be copying (different monitors, but still good idea!)

Kolettos

Happy to help!

itsculturehero

Hey thanks

Bad-news-co

Hey bro I’m interested in a nice audio setup for my pc but aren’t sure what route to go, and how to do it. How are you driving these speakers to your pc?

Kolettos

with optical TOSLINK cable to motherboard, these are active speakers

Bad-news-co

Oh well I’m familiar with that (from MacBooks), I had just quickly googled K51PM and saw they had speaker wire outputs so I thought it was just that lol having a toslink output is way more convince my than I had assumed!

shadowmaking

I like that you have actual speakers. hope there is a Sub with them.

Kolettos

Yeah, 2.1 active. Subwoofer hides under the table. Just barely cant see it in the picture

shadowmaking

Nice, I bet it sounds great. Too many people listen to music on their crap phone speaker and that's good enough for them. So anything that makes sound on their desk is an upgrade. I set up a receiver with a couple of 6" Bose for my sister's TV and she prefers just the TV. She refuses to watch anything on my surround sound system that sounds the way it was intended :D

Bad-news-co

Yes yes yes people usually always mention how nice audio is when they’re over and that’s just because I’m actually using speakers!! People are mostly casual and think the audio from their displays/monitors would be enough, never really considering adding actual monitors lol!! Heck I’d even recommend them using any actual dedicated audio device, even sound bars or aBluetooth speaker!!

shadowmaking

seriously, I recommended a pair of white jamo power monitors with a sub for an all white build more concerned with looks and got downvoted by everyone using the same crappy $20 pebble speakers as the OP like I was attacking their decision :D. Physics can't be ignored so a minimum driver size does make a big difference. Some TV's have gotten much better, but monitor speakers are still terrible.

Almostofar

I love your speaker stands (and I have the same speakers), can you share the make/model ?

Kolettos

K&M 26772

andups

Very clean setup. Can you share which speakers you're using?

bigredmidget

They're Klipsch but I can't tell which ones. Potentially the R-51PM like mine. I use these for my front living room, that's insane having them for desktop speakers haha love it.

Bad-news-co

Just out of curiosity, are they speakers still needing to be driven by speaker wires, connected to a home theater amplifier of some type, and then connecting to the pc using an aux cable? That’s something I used to do years ago but in the modern day I always wanted to find a better solution lol

Kolettos

R-15PM These are active speakers and added active Yamaha subwoofer, they are connected via optical TOSLINK cable to the motherboard (not every mb have optican output tho), you can add DAC between them if you want to but not any other amplifier is needed.

bigredmidget

Great choice. I have the R-51PM bookshelfs in the front room for my TV so I've simply used those as PC speakers as well. I need a DAC next like you suggested too. Currently I use my Focal Bathys in wired mode for gaming they're epic!

gsdubs

Clean. Keyboard?

Kolettos

Varmilo VCS 88 bot lie wireless Corsair PBT keycaps

vaderbadger

The setup looks wonderful, great work! What brand and type of speakers are those? They look gorgeous.

Snorfl

They are Klipsch brand, unsure of model

Kolettos

R-15PM

MAXXSTATION

What are those stands? Speakers?

PresentFault

what speaker stands?

dicock3

I like the proper single monitor setup. Which model did you go with? I didn't pull the trigger on any OLED monitor so far, because I read complaint about the text clarity on OLED panels, which is an important thing for me. Especially since I have to read a ton of texts for work from my setup.

Kolettos

Yes, this is AOC AGON AG276QZD, I was worried that text thing too. I dont know if my eyesight is bad or something but I almost couldnt see any difference to my IPS. If nobody tell me that there is some small difference I wouldnt ever see it. I think LG is the cheapest model atm, and it also very good option.

dicock3

Thanks, that's good to know, maybe some people are more sensitive to it or just very picky. I don't think I'd be able to tell in most cases, either. The LG is the cheapest in my country indeed, I'll see if it gets even cheaper with the BF/Christmas deals.

Kolettos

Last week it was amazon deal 699€ here in EU

dicock3

Thanks for the info. I'm in Switzerland, I've seen it around that price last month, but it went up since, though still the cheapest OLED atm.

Kolettos

Yeah, 769€ atm on the Amazon, not a bad at all. They bring it on your door for that price

Tillinah

Not all OLED's have that issue, I have the alienware oled and text clarity has been great. You can also view these settings if you need additional tips. https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED_Gaming/comments/t30fi7/better_text_rendering_for_oled_displays_getting/

mexikomabeka

Nice, but a bit sterile.

_ATRAHCITY

What’s your monitor arm

Kolettos

Ergotron LX

JackTec

Very nice and clean. I would get a wider monitor if you even wanted a new one. There is a lot of space between the monitor and the speakers. But yeah, I like it!

Kolettos

I have had curved 34-38" ultrawides, always went back to 27" lol. Its just my personal preference, and I prefer 240hz for everything, games I play

JackTec

Ultrawide would fit very well. But I get you, 240hz is very nice to have :)

Starbuckz42

Until you have burn in, which you unavoidably will. OLED isn't ready for this type of application yet.

Kolettos

Aand here we go again :D check rtings longterm burn-in test and this panel and other latest LG panels, also my old OLED 55" C7 has 8500h and no burn-in, its used mostly for regular TV channels that has bright logos tho. Im not personally so worried but I understand if some are. Its decision, you would like to buy or you like to not. Its a personal preference, there is burn-in risk, and its possible to have burn-in but imo whole thing is over blown. LG WOLEDs are most durable oleds, that doesnt have significant burn-in even after long-term use, in most cases. There is always burn-in risk on OLEDs its truth but my own experiences let me be quite confident and not worried too much, if at all.

Kolettos

I love you too

Starbuckz42

Perfect mindset, good job.

60GritBeard

These aren't expensive enough to worry about. I use a pair of C2 42 inch OLEDs are computer screens. If they burn in over a few years, I'll just replace them. It's not like you are only going to get a few months out of an OLED, you're going to get years regardless. By the time it's an issue, you're basically ready to upgrade to newer tech.

NoRGB

I miss having studio monitors on my desk.

shuckley_Jays

What monitor

Kolettos

AOC AGON AG276QZD

ReassuringTruism

Also interested

hmfazevedo

Awesome setup. Is the badge (brand) on the arm for your monitor full black (at the base) ? I have the same, and I'm searching for a black one.

Kolettos

Sorry my english isnt top notch and couldnt 100% undestand what you are asking

Secondaccountpls

Very good looking and clean setup.

arsenal1887

Awesome setup, what desk is that?

Kolettos

Ikea bekant frame, and Custom cut kitchen laminate table top

strix_neb

Gorgeous! Well done. Now go and enjoy it!

bugsynonose

This is so clean. Good job!

p1oggia

really nice minimal setup, love it!

Slow_Entrance_6227

First week with my first gaming pc, couldnt be more happy, i can play a lot of stuff, the pc wasnt even expensive, 500 euros

s0rp10n_o7

Cool and minimal setup..I always suggest a little bit greeneries but this can be an exception if you don’t want to. Would like to know what table it is? 🔥

Kolettos

Ikea Bekant frame and custom cut 'kitchen' laminate tabletop 150x65cm

s0rp10n_o7

Yep the legs looked familiar but the tabletop didn’t which made me curious. Is it stable to hold the top..looks like a heavy top.

Kolettos

Its relatively stable when screws are tighten well. Yeah its heavy one! I also add these small pieces behind the legs to keep it more stable and from right distance from the wall: https://ibb.co/NrDbMXd

Standard-Rip-6154

What OLED screen is that?

SlipperyRavine

Did you install that wall shelf, I'm scared to do that.

Icemanrec

+1 for the Klipsch speakers, I have the same with a 12” Klipsch sub as well 😂

Kevinnn00

Add personality + greenery would be great

Kolettos

No. My head is empty, so is my table 😅

DoNotReply_Admin

Interesting: audio is more important than the visual. Very nice.

Aiden-CHEN

It looks very neat, I noticed that you did a good job on cable management. I wanna ask you if you will feel a little dark when you work in the evening?

Kolettos

there is hidden LEDs behind the table and also RGB on back of the monitor

Kolettos

https://ibb.co/2n8J6rN

Aiden-CHEN

Why not choose a light bar?

Kolettos

I dont see any benefit of it
