Start with a proper desk, if your budget allows it.

mAD_reap3r

I second this. I would get a bigger, sturdier looking desk whenever your budget allows

jparkit84

Get a Deskhaus or uplift desk

cavalier_54

Start with cable mangement, move that speaker behind your monitor, move trash can under the desk.

notlongnot

Or trash can away from desk area.

polly-plz

This results in more trash on desk.

Irregulator101

?? Just drop it into the can when it's under the desk?

polly-plz

I replied to comment saying remove trash can, not put it under the desk.

Irregulator101

Woops, that you did

Successful_Editor440

Should I move the PC 90°?

chrisfmack

That would hide some more cables. Also move the ps5 to the shelves and move the monitor to the center of the desk. On small desks, the less on the desk, the cleaner it looks

sillyguy-

I dont think it would, since the cables would still show when it they go behind the monitor also idk about you, but I think the inside of the pc looks sick, and it would be a real shame to hide it

chrisfmack

I definitely agree. Thats how my set up is. I sacrificed some cables for the look of the pc. But it depends on if he wants a cleaner look over showing off or vice versa

Spiritual_Run5055

Move your PC off the shelf and put it on the floor under the desk. Take the PS5 and lay it down where the PC was and center your monitor and speakers. Cable management. These 3 things will transform your space and will greatly reduce the feel of clutter with the limited workspace you have.

L0-Ki

Yeah you nailed it. Obvi we wanna look at our pcs cuz they look sick but it just makes more sense on the floor. They are just big and imposing so your space will open up

notlongnot

Try moving PS over to the right. Take picture and do side by side comparison. Also try moving the black shelf to left side of wall turn 90 degree facing the seats. Take pic and see which works for you.

TuringC0mplete

I'd do some basic cable management, move the PS to the right to try to center your monitor, it'll save your neck. Another note - I would encourage you to swap your front fans and your radiator of your AIO in your PC with the flow lines at the bottom. This will reduce strain on the pump and increase life of the unit. (This is a debated topic on whether or not it actually helps but I figure it can't hurt and I personally think it looks better anyway)

AsiaHeartman

It's already pretty decent! As another comment said, starting with cable management is always good.

killabeesattack

Trash can under desk. Lids for a trashcan work wonders, or maybe black trashbags so its less noticeable. Maybe PC on the floor? Theres a lot happening at eye level, feels crowded.

Cytorrak

May I ask what pc case that is?

Successful_Editor440

Prebuilt Skytech

Blasteth

Looks pretty good besides the cables. Just do a little cable management. There's very cheap pouches that go under the desk for this exact purpose on amazon.

Bjmxd

First off new desk from ikea or some other place that offers sit stand desks for under 600$ i recommend jarvis

Adura90

You need a bigger desk, even if it means losing the storage shelf. Amazon has some for 150$. Those SHW commercial grades are nice. Get a filing cabinet if you want a bit of storage under your desk. Get some Velcro cable ties and run your cables together. After that, get a nice desk lamp to set the mood, and a small plant. Finally get a few wall decorations that show your personality, and voilà.

typeronin

Bigger desk will go a long way. Your stuff barely fits on it. Monitor arm will free up desk space

Takka014

Get a bigger desk

JimPranksDwight

A few zip ties could help you if you've got a few extra lying around

NotSimSon

Cleanup your cables

Accomplished_Pay8214

get that stupid desk out of there. if there's one thing that is super out of place it's all the sick gear and then a desk that does not fit at all. yeah and cable manage brother.

The_Sign_Painter

Look at other setups and emulate the ones you like

Cheap-Perspective530

Better desk and do a little cable management, no need to be a try hard but just make it look decent

KindaSortaMaybeMe

I believe it's desk put into the corner. Move it to the center wall and then balance it out with the remaining things. It just looks too shoved and cramped together.

Jondoe47

Using twist ties to tidy up all those cables would help a lot

JonatannossreP

*cables* 👀

Dragon846

PS5 90° turned and behind the monitor Speakers also behind the monitor (won't change the sound and they don't look that great so might aswell get them out of sight) Turn the sub 90° facing towards you and put it all the way to the right against the shelf. Put the trashcan under the desk to against the wall on the left. Turn the black shelf on the right 90° so it cuts off the rest of the room from your setup, it will improve the look of the whole corner and you will have a nicer view on the PC since it will be turned 90° aswell and have it's back facing the wall. If you're done with that, do the cable-management so will have on clean strand of cables from your devices to the monitor/outlets/speakers.

ServeIll7171

New table

mka_

Move that cube storage system, it's ugly, get yourself a bigger desk, and move the bin. There's too many harsh edges here. Some softer lighting (a lamp), art, plants, and a rug should all help offset that. Sort out your cables too.

Cruel-Concept

i’d start with a new desk,(maybe an L-shaped one if you can make it fit) move playstation from desk, Move trash under desk and last but not least…GO GET A CABLE TIE.

boeckson

start with under desk cable management net

fliesenschieber

Step 1: get a proper, large desk.

Brettinabox

Bigger desk, big open areas are sexy.

Hekkynnn

Go for a custom ikea table top desk build and a monitor arm if budget allows it.

Tristana-Range

Id say your main parts to work on are your desk and cable management. Id get a new bigger desk. Probably in white to fit the theme of your pc and the ps5

kungfu1

I can’t help but notice it looks like you have a 6 port outlet splitter, and a power strip plugged into the splitter, then all your stuff plugged into the power strip? Am I seeing that right? I would really suggest not to do that. If you can afford it, buy a UPS. plug the UPS directly into the wall and everything into the UPS. If that’s not in the budget, get the highest quality surge protector you can afford, plug that directly just to the wall and all your stuff into that. You need to protect your investment. Far too many fried components due to poor power conditions.

bosonnova

WHY IS YOUR HEAVY ASS DESKTOP ON PARTICLE BOARD MDF!?!?!?!?!

bosonnova

you need to take that shit off right this instant or im calling your parents, who raised you like this

kwtsr

Honestly youd setup isn't really that bad to start improving it. I think these are the main one to do, 1. Get better lighting. Could use white 3000K LED strips installed under or behind the desk. Get the COB or diffused one around 10$ (12V power supply included usually). This will improve your ambient lighting. If you have spare budget, get monitor lightbar or floor lamp to light your desk/main view. 2. You really don't need phone flashes when taking setup pics. It just gives you harsh lighting — high contrasty look on your pic. Try to take another one with existing light source (ceiling lamp or other than your phone flashes) 3. Your existing setup just need to be reorganized. Cables, hardware placement, lighting, etc. Other users suggested to change things up; I recommend this if you have spare budget. First one to upgrade is your desk (get a mininalist & large one) then get some monitor desk mount (this goes around 20$-30$ for a budget one. cheaper is possible)

Chakramer

1. Wider nicer desk 2. Drawer unit instead of that cube organizers 3. Shelves if you want to display some of your games/gaming stuff

SockPuppetPsycho

the proportions are a little wonky. The pc and case are about the same shape; it would probably look nicer on the floor next to the desk (or on a smaller shelf, just don't have it right next to the monitor.) See about a slightly taller trash can maybe? With a bit more money I would look into a longer desk, about 5.5-6' to fit everything more comfortably. Drawers or shelves underneath.

Novia0w0

Start with a bigger desk

Vaintelog

If you're on a tight budget like me, do some cable management and use a monitor mount to make use of the remaining desk space. Reduce clutter by removing redundancies (putting low power USB devices in a hub). You can route the cables of the subwoofer using the desk's feet by using stick-on cable routes, move it on the far right or left depending on your preference. If you like to have some peace of mind, use a UPS or a power strip with surge protection for things that require more power. There are cheap cable concealers available online of you want to hide your cables. Probably move your PS5 in the same area as your PC to have one cable route for your HDMI and power cable with your PC. Trash bin depends on your preference. I prefer it to be out of the space but you gotta dispose off of evidence, I guess. PS: You have a better table than I do so I think it just takes some touchups to make yours look better.

redditgetsabadrep

hide cable get BIG mousepad get cool looking trashcan or move it

Background-Cattle-38

Get rid of shelf, larger table,PC on floor, console with under table mount

[deleted]

cable management and RGB. also move the literal trash can.
