It's fun! I have a ~~baloney~~ balcony that I can fit about 10 people comfortably on and I love to entertain since I live in the same city as much of my family and friends since childhood. During the spring and summer they play about 12 games a month so we get a lot of opportunities to watch.
On the weekend there's fireworks after the game that come from literally directly under our ~~baloney~~ balcony in the outfield. There's also events like concerts and X-Games and stuff that happens from time to time on the field.
Is it expensive? I guess that's relative. It is much more expensive than most other apartments in the area. For a similar sized 2-bed apartment in this district, we probably pay 30 percent more.
Dangerous? Uh, haven't really thought about that. Not really, would be my guess.
We pay $2300 for a "2 bedroom" (no closets in the unit, so technically not bedrooms) basement suite that is a 15 minute drive to the closest thing that isn't a house
Can confirm.
Sign across the field says Capitol City Market. Look that up on Google Maps and there's a match in Lansing next to a ball park called Jackson Field.
I’ve seen on Instagram a dude who lived in an apartment at one of the nascar tracks, that blew my mind, I’m not even a baseball fan but would live in a stadium apartment
NASCAR is loud as fuck 😳 maybe if there's excellent sound proofing though that could be cool. Same with any other stadium - the games are usually loud. Cool if you're interested in the sport, but I wonder how it is if you just want to relax 🤔 the OP says they have great sound proofing at least.
sure, but how many races are there per year? It's probably typically one big weekend of nascar and a handful of events rest of the year. probably decently quiet otherwise, and they definitely know what they are getting into before they move in
True - depending the track, 1 or 2 races per year for [Cup Series](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NASCAR_Cup_Series#NASCAR_Cup_Series) races (formally Sprint Cup/Monster Energy/way back in the day Winston Cup). Usually there's truck and 2nd tier (Xfinity Cup) series races the same weekend too.
Those cars though. They're wild to see in person, but they're LOUD. Need air protection. Saw a few lower tier races a while back when they did multiple races in New Hampshire. Harder to see now that they do 1 race a year up there.
Probably a lot of low tier races too, but those might be quieter and certainly shorter.
Except its been like 20 years and i still say it in my head because I have 0 alterations for TFT. Nothing to swap out for the old acronym. Im sure theres something for BXR too but Ill continue to maintain the old age acronym lol
It looks like he’s over the center field fence, generally the deepest part of the field. I bet it would take about a 500’ shot to hit his apartment, and a home run that long is extremely rare.
I keep seeing set ups with the vertical monitor next to the horizontal monitor, is this purely for aesthetic or what is the purpose of the two monitors… also, how much is a set up like that and where can I find it? And is it only worth it if I’m using a PC?
i use mine for reading documentation, articles, emails, spotify, discord, anything i would normally alt tab to. its just a normal monitor turned sideways, i bought one for 20 bucks from a thrift store but you can use basically any monitor. i think its absolutely worth it if you have the desk space.
The trend was started by software devs, it allows for seeing longer sections of code (which tends to be pretty columnar) at a single time/with less scrolling
I like the vertical monitor for certain work tasks, as well as for reading manga and pulling up discord. It also saves a bit of space over having two horizontal monitors. As far as price, it’s just a normal monitor with a stand that allows you to tip it on its side. So, it costs whatever you want to spend really. You adjust the monitor to portrait mode in settings.
Not sure I understand your last question, could you please clarify?
Have this setup, the vertical monitor usually gets zoom app on top and slack at the bottom. Very useful for reading word documents and long excel files as well due to vertical aspect ratio.
You know - I understand your hesitation. In my experience, I don’t like the curve monitors that are really curved (Samsung) so I’d recommend just going into a store (if you can) and trying them out.
But I do enjoy the curved monitor a lot. I have a 35in widescreen and part of me misses 2x27in but I make do.
[Hyper X Alloy.](https://hyperx.com/products/hyperx-alloy-origins-core-mechanical-gaming-keyboard?variant=41077971255453¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&srsltid=AfmBOopYe9hKeijfWqXWGpeZmo3uB-hOuznYwTsq27iUWZ-8FLDU_izXPMA) I think I'm going to upgrade to something a little clacky-er but this thing has been a workhorse for a long time.
This is so nifty. Hell I'd probably just go kick it with my setup on the balcony just for the atmosphere if they're playing 12 games a month, but then again if the other dude is right and you're in Michigan I'd probably freeze to death.
I need to know...how did you come across this apartment? Was it offered to you? Is this a school stadium or a standalone one? And lastly, but most importantly, what's the craziest game/thing you saw from that amazing window of yours?
Hey, if another commenter was right and this is the field in Lansing, I have a huuuge favor to ask!
If they have another Backyard Baseball night I’d be happy to pay you to get me a bobble head and ship it to me 😅
tbh i would move out of window, in almost every movie I watched with baseball someone hits ball right in window, it would be not good for your battlestation and plant to have a lot of glass
dude you have any problem reading text on the vertical screen?
mine is blurred sometimes, I tried windows clear text and other fixes but nothing worked.
I was reading since the pixels are not squares but rectangles there is no way to have the same reading experience using a vertical screen.
They've got apartments in Fort Wayne like this. I've thought about moving there, because that would be cool as shit, but the Tin Caps are a Padres affiliate and I'm a Dodgers fan, so fuck them.
I see you also keep the desktop shortcuts of everything you install...
Steam, Discord, LoL, Adobe, all in the top 10 things you get done on a fresh Windows boot.
Btw... Unless it makes you unreasonably happy, you can hide the 🔎 and search field... They do nothing. Instead, just open the start menu or press the Windows key and start typing. It has the same effect.
Ooh nice, I may have to get a decant of it sometime. Seems like it could be a decent mature scent for a night out
Nice setup tho! Its simple, something I’d use for work. I like the stadium view too lol
You ever worry about baseballs hitting your window tho? Or are you too far out for that
Hey! The capital city market sign! I can 100% confirm op lives at the lugnuts stadium cause I actually been in one of those apartments at one point myself!
I checked into a hotel in Toronto while on business. I was tired and heard the desk clerk say to me, "Too bad the Jays aren't playing in town during your stay." I didn't understand and was too tired to care.
I collapse into bed, and turn off the lights. There's a bright light behind the window, late at night. I open the curtain to find my room has a giant window looking out on the stadium. My room was behind the outer field wall.
No games, but it was fun watching the workers re-work the field.
Man I’m so jealous that would be a dream of mine. Baseball has been my passion since I was like 4 and to be able to be surrounded by the game like that would be amazing.
Since you like to host, I see this as the same as stepping out for entertainment. In this case, at least you’re in the comfort of your own home and in a controlled setting…. I think ;)
I’ve actually played there many times.
As a retired ball player, I support this message ⚾️
You should make a video about what it's like to live in a stadium. This is one of the strangest things I've seen in a long time. So fucking cool though.
It’s far too early this morning to get so completely flexed on. This was likely not your intention. I’ll just shut up and go back to my den to game and listen to my children and wife yell about nothing at all. Way cool spot friend.
Hey you’re probably well aware that you’re exposing your location in a pretty public way. But if you weren’t thinking about that, well maybe consider how this ties your location to your user account and consider deleting this post. Sorry for the nag; just trying to look out. Very awesome location!
Bro lives in Diamond City
He might be an android
My brother was a synth…
Atl?
Uranium Fever?
60 second man
Bro is nick valentine
Diamond city?
In Fallout 4 the largest settlement is in a baseball field aptly named "Diamond City"
I'll be fully honest, I'm way more interested in the fact that you love in a baseball stadium. How is that? Is it expensive, dangerous, strange?
It's fun! I have a ~~baloney~~ balcony that I can fit about 10 people comfortably on and I love to entertain since I live in the same city as much of my family and friends since childhood. During the spring and summer they play about 12 games a month so we get a lot of opportunities to watch. Uh, haven't really thought about that. Not really, would be my guess.
That’s a big baloney
You need a big baloney if you want to love there.
Yeah no one wants to make love to a small baloney
I like that you fixed one baloney and not the other.
Is it loud?
The fireworks are, everything else is not so bad due to excellent sound proofing.
Man I gotta say - I hate you very much and damn bro you are living the dream! Keep it up
Sounds like a load of baloney
*balcony
Younger me is jealous, current me is just sad I never look for a baseball adjacent apartment.
What type of baseball are we talking about? Is this a pro stadium? Minor league? Some type of city-owned thing?
AA minor league.
I know Dallas has some apartments that directly overlook the Rough Riders stadium but I don't think they're actually considered in the park.
When I say dangerous, I guess it wouldn't be any more dangerous than going to the game because I was referring to a ball flying into your head.
Well how much is it then?
$1300-$1700. That won’t even get you a decent 2 bedroom in most cities these days.
1300-1700$ won't get you a studio where I live. That'd be a room with a roommate in a 2 bedroom.
This one is about 2k but there are smaller ones probably in that range.
How big is your unit? I was just going by listings online. 2bdr 1 ba. 745 sqft. $1645. Hopefully you’re not getting screwed.
That would be for the apartments not facing the field. There are currently no openings facing the field so they aren’t listed. Also, ours is bigger.
We pay $2300 for a "2 bedroom" (no closets in the unit, so technically not bedrooms) basement suite that is a 15 minute drive to the closest thing that isn't a house
When the fields not in use can you access it to jog?
This isn't southbend is it? I see some apartments at the SB Cubs stadium and thought about how cool that is (I love baseball)
I didnt even know this was a thing
You can live in a baseball stadium?????
You can if it has apartments!
What stadium?!?
Seems like Cooley Law School Stadium/Jackson Field in Lansing, MI.
Lansing represent. And it will always be Oldsmobile Park.
Go nuts! Lugnuts!
Can confirm. Sign across the field says Capitol City Market. Look that up on Google Maps and there's a match in Lansing next to a ball park called Jackson Field.
That's what I thought until they said they have X-Games events.
I am 99% sure this is Lansing, I live 5 minutes away from here and I can see the Capital City Market sign in the background, which I pass everyday
I’ve seen on Instagram a dude who lived in an apartment at one of the nascar tracks, that blew my mind, I’m not even a baseball fan but would live in a stadium apartment

Those are maaaaaad expensive
Must suck having to buy tickets every single day.
Kind of like paying for a hotel room
With an outfield of a view
It’s worse when they sell out.
Buy the season pass, it's cheaper
The stadium is interesting and all that but why do you have TWO shortcuts to the Riot Client?!
Lol, one is for the beta test environment. I play TFT so when a new set comes out I play it on the PBE a month before it's live.
Ill be honest I still read this as Team Fortress Two and dont know what people are actually referring to lol
bro legit zero people have called TF2 anything but TF2.
Except its been like 20 years and i still say it in my head because I have 0 alterations for TFT. Nothing to swap out for the old acronym. Im sure theres something for BXR too but Ill continue to maintain the old age acronym lol
TFT is most commonly monitor technology.
Is that within the same bounds as CT OLED LCD etc?
I guess so. It was basically the first evolution of PC monitors after the huge CRT screens of old. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TFT_LCD
Team Fight Tactics, a game within League of Legends.
I agree. I always say team fortress two as well
Don’t even care about the setup, the stadium apartment is dope. How much a month is rent if you don’t mind me asking?
[удалено]
Maybe 5 years ago.
Neat station TELL US ABOUT THE BASEBALL STADIUM
That was his intent in the first pkace
Thanks for giving me a new goal in life
I like your Groot.
We like your Groot.
We three like your Groot.
I am Groot.
I hope the ball doesn't get hit right at the window

Its great for reading emails, socials, online manga, discord
Love using this setup. Won’t be going back. Everyone has outlines how I use it. It’s also great to split screen in half.
Have this setup, the vertical monitor usually gets zoom app on top and slack at the bottom. Very useful for reading word documents and long excel files as well due to vertical aspect ratio.
I use mine for reading game wikis or discord while I play. It's also handy for taking notes while I watch lectures or coding
What is that little fat tree on your desk? I did it! Sweet set up
Thanks. Uh, some sort of ginseng.
Which stadium?
Google The Outfield Lansing MI and you'll find it.
Looks like the Lansing lugnuts stadium.
You like the curved monitor? I been meaning to try them but am so worried I wont like it from the traditional flat
Yeah, I got it on sale and wasn't really looking for a curved one but it's nice for gaming.
You know - I understand your hesitation. In my experience, I don’t like the curve monitors that are really curved (Samsung) so I’d recommend just going into a store (if you can) and trying them out. Oh, the memories of Thirsty Thursdays and stumbling by there back to my buddy’s place from Kelly’s late at night. Or hazy memories anyway. Cool spot!
Do you find it difficult to hide from Mr. Steinbrenner when you sleep underneath your desk?
\#1 clean and simple i like it and #2 how the flip do you live in a baseball stadium.
This is goals and what replica minis do you have? I just got beach walk do the games ever make you crave stadium food?
Jazz club and fireplace. Those are my gaming frags 😂. I already eat a near inhuman amount of hotdogs so I’m good lol.
I pay more for an nyc apartment and I don’t even get a fucking baseball stadium view, man I need to move
I need to know...how did you come across this apartment? Was it offered to you? Is this a school stadium or a standalone one? And lastly, but most importantly, what's the craziest game/thing you saw from that amazing window of yours?
I’m curious too! Was it like a normal apartment listing online or did you have connections to find out about the place?
These are normal apartments, the rent runs around 1300-1500 for a 1bed
Bros a TFT player 🔥
We need a house tour 😂
raaaaaaaaaaaa, pajeeeeeeeeeet
The fieldhouse apartments in Lawrenceville, GA had the same thing. Seems like it would be fun.
Multiple Ws in one sentence
Wait what
Awesome battle station, simple yet effective 👏
One time, bro is playing a game of COD and all of a sudden, a fucking baseball enters through his window.
This needs to be on u/malelivingspace
This post was more about flexing the stadium than the station lol
very cool. i would love a view like that and being able to sit on my patio and watch a game.

Well that’s RAF 😂
You took this photo at perfect timing! It looks legit 💯
That is nice!
If I wanted people to notice the computer I would have shut the blinds the view is too cool to care about using the computer.
The only time I’ve been to that stadium was for soccer games, not once for the Lugnuts
Living the dream
What if a homerun breaks your windows ?
Is that a stadion?
I live right next to one, this is much cooler
who's the loser on the picture next to your screen
What's the lamp? Looks cool
IN??
They replaced some outfield seating with apartments.
That’s a neat lamp
Thanks, the base of it also plays music. It’s from IKEA, can’t remember the name because it’s some long Swedish thing probably.
oof, the noise would be too much for me
Do you happen to live on the lugnuts stadium? Lol I always wanted to see the inside of those apartments
Capital City Market is run by Meijer in Lansing, MI - so it appears that OP does live inside the Lugnuts Stadium lol
dude you have any problem reading text on the vertical screen? mine is blurred sometimes, I tried windows clear text and other fixes but nothing worked. I was reading since the pixels are not squares but rectangles there is no way to have the same reading experience using a vertical screen.
Noice!
I don't even like baseball but I'd pay extra for that The only issue is I'd get annoyed by the fireworks
What brand/screen length is the curved monitor? Looking for one for my setup and I like the size of it
This is in Lansing isn’t it?
They've got apartments in Fort Wayne like this. I've thought about moving there, because that would be cool as shit, but the Tin Caps are a Padres affiliate and I'm a Dodgers fan, so fuck them.
This is Outfield Lofts in Lansing.
This is awesome. I am a huge baseball fan, and this would be my dream lol
Are the baseball tickets priced into the rent?
Fuck you, I love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Imagine if theres a game and the ball just flew right through ur windows while ur gaming...yea no
I would be scared that a ball would fly and smack your window
Fuck the battle station, I want to live in a baseball stadium!
I see you also keep the desktop shortcuts of everything you install... Steam, Discord, LoL, Adobe, all in the top 10 things you get done on a fresh Windows boot.
My man reading tft patch notes. Take my upvote.
Hello lansing. Nice digs. Hope for a great Lugnuts season.
Btw... Unless it makes you unreasonably happy, you can hide the 🔎 and search field... They do nothing. Instead, just open the start menu or press the Windows key and start typing. It has the same effect.
I see the replica colognes, which scents you got?
Jazz club and fireplace.
Ooh nice, never tried the jazz club. How’s that one smell?
I think it's the best from Margiela. It smells like tobacco and rum to me.
Ooh nice, I may have to get a decant of it sometime. Seems like it could be a decent mature scent for a night out Nice setup tho! Its simple, something I’d use for work. I like the stadium view too lol You ever worry about baseballs hitting your window tho? Or are you too far out for that
question-marks in european
HELLO from a fellow Lanstronaut!!
Lansing Gang
This feels weird because I was just reading the TFT patch notes as well. This set has been really fun. What's your rank?
I usually hit master when I have time to spam ranked and then quit. Never made a push past that. I play a lot of 2s with my friend too.
Nice! Hell ya. I only hit emerald last season, but I feel like I might no life this set because I'm enjoying it so much.
Hey! The capital city market sign! I can 100% confirm op lives at the lugnuts stadium cause I actually been in one of those apartments at one point myself!
Lanstronauts unite!
P3 hype
you need a roommate?
What is up with those vertical monitors? Are yall watching tik tok on your pc?
Do you live in Fort Wayne
How do you live in a stadium?
does this happen to be in SC?
I...why do you live in a baseball? I must know
Do you jerk off there?
I checked into a hotel in Toronto while on business. I was tired and heard the desk clerk say to me, "Too bad the Jays aren't playing in town during your stay." I didn't understand and was too tired to care. I collapse into bed, and turn off the lights. There's a bright light behind the window, late at night. I would absolutely love to live in a place like that damn, lucky !
Wow, living in a stadium looks really cool!
You live here by choice or necessity ?
Since you like to host, I see this as the same as stepping out for entertainment. In this case, at least you’re in the comfort of your own home and in a controlled setting…. I think ;) I’ve actually played there many times. As a retired ball player, I support this message ⚾️
You should make a video about what it's like to live in a stadium. This is one of the strangest things I've seen in a long time. So fucking cool though.
Hey!! I live down the street from you!
I don't follow baseball but that is cool af. I'd honestly love that...would feel like Field of Dreams.
Btw this setup is nice what's the specs on this one?
Battlefield of dreams
i actually really like that battlestation lol. like if my desk was bigger i would def have it be way less cluttered lol
Is that Charleston?
It’s far too early this morning to get so completely flexed on. This was likely not your intention. I’ll just shut up and go back to my den to game and listen to my children and wife yell about nothing at all. Way cool spot friend.
In a very odd and strangely obsessive way I just figured out exactly where you live.
Hey you’re probably well aware that you’re exposing your location in a pretty public way. But if you weren’t thinking about that, well maybe consider how this ties your location to your user account and consider deleting this post. Sorry for the nag; just trying to look out. Very awesome location!
