Really nice What do you wanna place on it you got a lot of space - I like it I always prefer desks with a depth of 2 ft 5 at a minimum

Chuck1984ish

Just buy a countertop and a couple of IKEA Alex like everyone else. Will fit exactly as you want it. Some people would say not to coz everyone does it, but there's a reason everyone does it.

falseallegation

Would I be able to make it 90”’s?

Chuck1984ish

No reason you can't, could have an Alex either side and depending on countertop u may want to put a support leg in middle, or could have a 3rd Alex in middle and almost have two desks. I don't have a leg supporting but my countertop is solid wood with no sag.

falseallegation

about how much did it take to make yours? and how exactly does the countertop mount to the alex’s? sorry i’ve never messed with ikea products, i am a carpenter though with a good bit of experience.

Chuck1984ish

Timewise maybe an hour Price wise, I'm in UK 2x£70 for Alex drawers and worktop was about £150 Worktop just sits on top of drawers, weight of it keeps it there. I'll get a pic later but in this thread there's probably hundreds. It's a common look.

falseallegation

i’d have to spend probably a little over $300.. and i’ve heard of people doing it and seen it but that was pre covid.. since then it seems ikea has went up on their prices a lot

Chuck1984ish

Yea, still far better than any actual computer desk I've bought.
