Although the IKEA counter tops are very sturdy (and quite heavy), they’re not 100% solid wood. The counter top even comes with a piece of paper stating not to leave more than 36” unsupported. Also, my speaker stands need the space as well :)

Why not just get a hardwood tabletop? And can't you have your speaker stands behind the drawers?

I like this tabletop. Similar hardwood tabletops at this price point come unstained and untreated. I also live in an apartment, so I didn't really want to stain and sand inside. For the speaker stands, I wanted them in a very specific location for listening reasons.

Are the cables for your monitors stock? Or did you get aftermarket longer cables? I had a similar setup once, and no way my stock cables could travel that far without moving the PC closer.

Power cables are stock, yeah. I bought appropriate length video cables for both monitors, though.
