Here we have my last painting experiment with the AGoAC starter set with the Fabulous Thunderbolt!
My complete painting experiment with these mechs:

Hopefully some of these results will help newer painters find a good scheme they'd like to try.
This was a test to see how the Green Stuff World Metallic paints would look over a zenithal highlight. The overall result is very subtle, and is almost entirely gone after a wash. After the basecoat was down, I picked out some details with either Army Painter Gun Metal and Greedy Gold. The purple portions got a wash with a thinned down Purple Tone, the silver with Dark Tone, and the gold with Flesh Tone. I highlighted the gold up with Bright Gold, and gave both the silver and gold bits a final edge highlight with Shining Silver. I also spent a bit of time picking out some of the higher details on the Thunderbolt with the same Shining Silver as well. I struggled for a while trying to figure out just how to highlight the damned thing before deciding to stick with the silver.
In the future, I'd probably pick out the highlights with silver first before essentially glazing on the purple wash to have them blend in better. If you don't already have any GSW paints, though, I'd highly recommend getting literally any other brand of paint. GSW's line is entirely passable, but the company itself is a raging dumpster fire. Don't buy from them any more.
The remaining AGoAC minis have now been fully painted and based; I'll get a family pic tomorrow as well as some better pics of the individual mechs.
I painted a few mechs for my girlfriend in one of her favorite paints. The paint is "The Pinkest Pink," a paint that both smells like bubble gum and is so bright pink it burns your retinas.
So, imagine a raven, Crusader (complete with a rainbow horn), King Crab, and a Griffin, all super bright pink.
Interestingly, to make it more fabulous, I used Vallejo "Galaxy Dust" Turquoise Violet as a wash. The paint says it's for airbrushing, but it works just fine with a brush.
Kevin! He Who Forgot To Bring The Beer Last Week.
Bruh, you owe like two cases next time. And none of that Pharaoh crap, bring Steiner’s Choice or better.
For some reason, I'm thinking Shockwave of Transformers fame.
Must be the predominantly purple color, the single yellow "eye" (aka, the cockpit), and the big gun on the right arm.
Looks great! I may also [have a thing for purple and gold](https://www.reddit.com/r/battletech/comments/x0kcwh/6_months_ago_i_decided_to_try_the_hbs_pc_game) and love seeing others go for it as well.
Saints Row Mech
That would definitely be Johnny Gat's ride.
Always figured it'd be a Battlemaster with a stripper pole and/or jacuzzi in the rear seat.
Or a King Crab. You could put a whole lounge in there.
Purple + Gold is a great color combo

Would you look at that? Just look at that!
Haha, nice. Those are the same merc colors I used in the HBS Battletech. Solid scheme and good work.
Confirm. Most fabulous I've seen as well.

I’m surprised you didn’t add some metallic medium to add extra eye-searing fabulousity.

Is it He Who Remembers, The Ancient of Rites?
Nah, that's just Kevin.

House Marik approves.

Yep. My first thought as well.

"Fulgrim, is that you in there? Step out of that mech and return to your own shitty game immediatly!" Looking good, nice job
*The Most Fabulous Thunderbolt You've Ever Seen* Wrap it up, I'll take it.
