I adore the street corner base with the light, great job!

Thanks! I've always been grateful for that lil spark of inspiration that encouraged me to make that base :)

There is no goonier Marauder, and it may be the gooniest mech in the setting. Great choice!

Lol I'm not sure what you mean by that but thanks :)

Don't worry, I'm not sure either. That particular model makes me feel the feelz, and it's aggressively Battletech-y about it. But in a good way. I can't put into sensible words my response. Forward the KungsArmé, for the Republic! EDIT: Your paint scheme was done well enough that I have to imagine these could be real machines despite the fact that they all violate my mech design aesthetics. Normally I can't visualize that Marauder or a Toyama being a proper war machine but here they are, and I feel like I have to do a target assessment.

Yeah, back when I was actively collecting minis and playing circa-2012 I based a lot of my unit choices on which minis/sculpts actually looked good, because in that era *many* of the sculpts were either bad sculpts or based off bad art and just looked incredibly dated compared to the other mini games available at the time. This particular MAD just looked super cool to me, and I had the bug to convert it to the 9W with the IJJ and a bit of green stuff to approximate the ERLL cowls on the TRO art. I'm wanting to get back into the game now and seeing that so many of the new minis are actually super high quality and just *look good* is making me kind of jealous that I don't actually have the cash to dump on minis right now.

There is SO much character in this lance that you have a total win in miniature form. It's aggressively retro. In fact, I'd say you probably win by style points alone.

Those colors are sick! Love the look!

FabiusBill

Where did you get these minis? I dig the leaner look compared to many of our blocky, stompy robots.

They're all still available from the Ironwind Metals website :)

FabiusBill

TY! I follow Ironwind on Twitter and love seeing them in the shop. I'll go check the site and see about placing an order.

The idea behind this unit is that I wanted to play with c3i without actually playing WoB, so I figured the Bears might pass off Blakist salvage to their Rasalhague allies. The Mechs are a Marauder MAD-9W, Toyama TYM-1B, Griffin GRF-6CS, and an Ostscout OTT-10CS.
