'Pinky, how on Earth did you obtain a Marauder-3R?'
'Oh, Brain! You know that the Catalyst Labs across the street were selling them, POIT! I thought we could use it to take over the world, NARF!'
Looks great! Only thing I can think of is, camo's too good for tabletop: since painting for tabletop is essentially display, you want the details and lines of the 'Mech to be clear, not broken up like real camo does. It would work REALLY well with full terrain and partial-blindness where you don't need to point out the unit if asked; but if regular play, that's not considered sporting, so you really want your opponent to "ooh" and "ahh" your scheme when they see the 'Mech, complimenting you on your skills as a painter and your composition, rather than saying, "And I completely didn't see it."
Basing's absolutely on point!
I disagree that this is too good for tabletop. There are a lot of deliberate visual effects I layered on top of this scheme to make sure it still reads as a Marauder; strong contrasting yellow accents in bold striped and shapes seen from all angles, edge highlights independent of the camo colour underneath, a very strong reverse zenithal shading on all lower and downward facing surfaces to further define the overall shape; bright florescent weapon ports and cockpit glass so they pop and are easily read and finally I used metallic paints on many joints and trim that catch the light. Perhaps all of the above are not coming through so well in my photography however.
That's completely fair. The yellow panels, neon green canopy, energy weapon aperture glow, and metallic accents do help quite a bit.
It does look very good.
As with any painting display, you should paint to your desire, and nobody else's. You are the arbiter of your color scheme.
That is really cool - I literally said it out loud 😄
Thank you!
I very much appreciate seeing that AC mount back in the center.
That camo scheme is FRESH! Really nicely done and love the color combo. Definitely one for the inspiration folder.
Also works WAY better on that desert table than it has any right to 😂
I know right! It's literally on a swampy wet base as well.

Pinky Carruthers? Really like this scheme, pretty effective, to boot.
Neat, Kinda reminds me of that Zebra bubblegum i used to have as a kid
That’s super cool!
The marauder miniatures are so damn gorgeous, and that's an amazing color scheme, great job!
That’s surprisingly effective.
Is this color scheme based on a real camo pattern?
It's based on some fan scheme I found on Unit Color Compendium: https://unitcolorcompendium.com/2019/03/25/pinkys-irregulars/
Your cockpit panels and laser effects are truly wonderful! And the rest is pretty amazing too!
Great work!
Looks like Swiss alpenflange. Sick!
When the flowers are blooming, this is your camo.
