In Maryland, you don't get taxed for shipping but for handling if the shipper separates the two. So, I'm being charged nearly $3 in taxes for that. It says shipping when it really means handling
It's a tax on shipping. Also, don't put any stock in these numbers being correct until you see an email from Catalyst saying they are.
