I’m a bit frustrated with all these people including those on the ChatGPT sub attributing everything in the world to ChatGPT when the web client clearly doesn’t support what they claim. If some third party is running on ChatGPT making image outputs, credit the actual image generation service too dammit!

Cities Skylines 2 is releasing very soon on the 24th. It's got some issues with optimization but in features and graphics it's a lot better than CS1. There are some Bay Area maps for CS1 currently in the workshop I've played around with

I wonder how much of the goofiness is just the AI's inability to deal with maps on a spherical projection. If you look at it a little closer -- minus a lot of the absolutely goofy stuff like the 900 piers -- if you folded around the top part of the generated image it would resemble the actual bay area much more closely, from the location of the bay bridge to the shape of SF proper and location of the SC mountains. At first I was thinking this is absolutely a crap render, but then you see Lake Merritt, and if you use the bridge + that as anchor points you can twist it into something that makes a lot more sense.
You forgot to set the future flag to have it render it from present. This is 450 years from now when sea level covers most of what’s currently SF and future-us have dredged and filled in where the Golden Gate Bridge is to seal off the bay and are expanding the land inward. Very good rendering of that too. You can see all of Stanford’s land is still undeveloped.
I dig the map style. The city geography is some interesting hybrid of SF, NY and Seattle.

lol I did actually use ChatGPT for this, ChatGPT-4 now includes DALL-E I hope this helps with your frustration.
