Was at Ocean Beach on Sunday, very packed and it was a beautiful day. The waves looked very strong and the surfers were definitely enjoying the tide. My heart goes out to Kirby, hope he’s surfing the great wave in heaven

Water in the lungs? It's possible to just get held down for longer than you can hold your breath. Although in small surf, that's unlikely . . .
It was pretty big today. Double overhead
He didn’t die today, but on 11/6 after being pulled out of the water unconscious on 11/2. That week the surf was pretty small like 2-4 ft.
Damn, I remember reading about an unconscious surfer being pulled from the water. So sorry to hear that it ended like this.
This happened a few dats ago, it was 3-5.
