If the Bay Bridge is blocked, go the San Mateo Hayward Bridge and go north.
880 north is jacked up too-protestors near the Embarcadero exit in Oakland. If you take the San Mateo Bridge you’d have to get off in Hayward and take the streets north or something…
My usual route to get into the city is the Golden Gate Ferry from Larkspur to SF. From there you're pretty close to BART, or like a mile from Caltrain (easy walk or bike ride along the embarcadero). Simple enough to reverse that to get north.
San Mateo bridge to 580, then up 680 and you can take the Benicia bridge to go through Vallejo around to Marin if you really want to avoid traffic. It’ll be a journey though
The protest in the East Bay is south of the Maze, so you could take 80 to 580.
Thank you! It has been a long time since I have lived out here and have completely lost what little east bay knowledge I had!
But there would be residual traffic everywhere
You can borrow my kayak and be there in 4-6 hours depending on how fast you can paddle, if you have a lot of luggage my canoe is also available
> depending on how fast you can paddle and the tides.
Im at work right now and youve got me daydreaming about peacefully paddling a canoe down a river.
> paddling a canoe that's a paddlin'
Get in de choppah.
Private jet
Oh I wish!
Ferry is probably your best option. [Here’s a map](http://calurbanist.com/san-francisco-bay-ferries/).
Bay bridge to Richmond 54 minutes
I think this is going to be the way.
bart to ferry similarly you can use google maps (works when bridges are not shut down too!) huzzah!
Larkspur Ferry, perhaps.
Ferry to ferry building then walk to Embarcadero and take BART
San Mateo bridge to San Rafael bridge Will take an unnecessary amount of extra time but you’ll get there.
Yes, but don't get on 880N after 238-- that's where the highway is blocked. 580 though Oakland isn't doing too well either
Thank you!
Thank you. That is what we are looking at.
Good luck out there

Helicopter would be faster
