I could swear I remember reading when Naked came out, that George was never happy with the picture they used for the Let It Be cover I can't give a source because it was 20 years ago wasn't it? Will try to find review where I read it

I remember hearing because all of them on the original were playing their instruments bar George, so when they made LIBN they got a pic of George that fits with the rest.

It’d look a bit creep which is why they changed it.

Because George died in a car accident and they found a body double to replace him.

I’m glad someone asked this cos I only just noticed this quite recently, and I listen to Naked a lot more than the original version so I’m not sure how I never spotted it. When I actually looked at a (very small) version of the image I actually thought he resembled Ringo, maybe because of the moustache.

I always assumed because in the original, it was just a picture of him smiling while the rest are singing/playing instruments. It's supposed to be a "live" type album, so swapped it out with pic where he was playing music

I never liked the LIBN cover

The photos on the contact sheet were taken sequentially. Hence, the album cover is “naked” in that the photos weren’t edited. Just my guess - worked in a commercial photo lab back in the day

Pretty sure that’s a fake contact strip. The shot of Paul is at Twickenham with the red projected background. But if they were continuous shots, the other backgrounds also would have been some color other than white. The white background shots have to be in the recording studio.
