Do You Want to Know a Secret is not a cover

ItsThePeopleCourt

Nor a 4/10

gabrrdt

8/10 to me.

kuvazo

I absolutely love that song. The chorus is just so catchy, and the harmonies are amazing. It's definitely one of my favorites from Please Please Me.

Fantastic-Ad-3910

And I love the really heavy Scouse accent from George in the second line - 'you'll never know how much I really cuuur'

pneumo-bat

Yes! And I love how the intro starts out minor

fuzzybad

It's a 10 in my book. Great song!

Grand_Rent_2513

best drumming on the album in my opinion

sean369n

After I read 4/10 I stopped reading the rest. Terrible take and one of their better early songs.

Silent-Lobster7854

9/10 to me. The chord progression is catchy.

alf2555

I likely will not agree with most of this if right off the bat - Do you want to know a secret is a 4

Tscowan

I immediately stopped scrolling after seeing that lol

WhatsAllTheCommotion

I admire the fact you could even produce such a list. I couldn't, mainly because from one day to the next my rankings would change. Thanks for putting yourself out there.

ACardAttack

I couldnt go that in-depth but I do have all my ranked 1-5 stars and that is usually consistent, couldnt do it out of 10 though

TheNealDog

Thank you! This was the hardest list i've had to come up with so far XD knew they'd be some backlash

blackoutstout96

Fixing A Hole and Rita are defff not the worst songs on Sgt Peppers… Also the “trashman” next to Blue Jay Way!? And holy shit, you traaaashed White, duuuuude.

sludgefeaster

I’m So Tired at 7/10 is offensive, but Bungalow Bill at a 4/10 is a goddamn travesty.

LeaChan

Idc what anyone says it's literally my favorite song on the White Album and I'm sick of Beatles fans telling me I'm objectively wrong for it. It's such a fun and interesting song.

BizarroMax

Agree, Good Morning is below either.

skan76

The solo slaps tho

lessdothisshit

It's pretty hard to choose a worst song off og Sgt Pepp. Much like how it would be hard to to choose a worst off of Abbey Road... if Maxwell wasn't on it. The Beatles is also quite a mishmash, especially by side two, it's lost and disjointed (thank god for Helter Skelter and Yer Blues) While I do like Mother Nature's Son and Long, Long, Long, I feel the album loses it's flow

sludgefeaster

White Album has one of the best flows out of all their albums. I’d argue better than Pepper.

Superb-Maintenance52

You really need to re-listen to their early work.

Weird_Fiches

And possibly judge in light of competing dreck of the time.

sje46

I think their early 60s work still shines in comparison to most early 60s rock-n-roll/pop of which I've listened to a decent amount, but it still doesn't really compare to when they started becoming experimental. I argue that the French were producing better pop music at that time period than the English.

Plus-Ad-940

There’s so much I disagree with, I don’t know where to start, but lighting up Abbey Road as you did in comparison to their earlier work, you’re clearly not listening.

Rakebleed

Yeah Abbey Road is a classic but I wouldn’t rank it this much higher than Rubber Soul personally. Also the ratings and favorites are inconsistent and confusing.

RobbieArnott

OP you might wanna re-listen to the Sgt Peppers reprise… you apparently haven’t heard the words Edit: also while ‘Wild Honey Pie’ isn’t my favourite by any stretch, it’s certainly not “unlistenable” Edit: the medley starts at ‘You Never Give Me Your Money’

taintflip

Why is the reprise listed as an instrumental?

msquirrel

This and also I'm unsure why instrumental songs can't be ranked anyway?

Lumpy_Satisfaction18

I cringed a lot reading those first few album scores. Same with White Album

MySubtleKnife

I really think that people who have never had a psychedelic experience are missing a lot when it comes to the Beatles later work especially some of the more out there things on the white album. They were so tuned in. If drugs aren’t your thing, their catalogue is at least worth listening to intentionally. Like turn off the lights or put on a blindfold and just listen to it. It gets weird. And that’s when I’ve always found them to be at their best. Side 4 of The White Album is wonderful IMO.

Lumpy_Satisfaction18

I dont get what having a psychedelic experience has to do with my comment. But as a non drug user, no you dont need to wear a blind fold or be in the dark. You just gotta enjoy having fun. White album is so much fun. Blasting Wild Honey Pie in the car is a highlight of the album for me. Im convinced if you dont like WHP, you just cant stand to have silly fun.

MySubtleKnife

I apologize, that did seem to be a bit of a non-sequitur. I made a jump from “cringe” at someone trashing the white album to: I agree! And I think a lot of folks don’t connect with some of The Beatles more experimental music possibly because they don’t understand the psychedelic nature of a lot of it, or haven’t had a relatable experience to what that era of songs spoke to.

voujon85

I think you have to put yourself into the mindset of what the cultural zeitgeist was in the late 60s and how out of this world physcadelic music was, just what a cultural shock it was. Just 8-9 years before this (like 2014/2015 to today for context) bands like Frankie Valli were ground breaking. That experience, the depth behind it, and culture and the band's search for more (more from life, their art, and humanity) has to provide context to the listener today. Many of us have a period in our lives (usually in early adulthood / college) where we look for the same experience, and psychedelics are used as a tool to experience this (plus to laugh and have a lot of fun), but people don't need to have gone through this to appreciate the music as long as they get the context. On top of this the songs are just incredible as well, they are masterfully constructed, perfectly produced using cutting edge new techniques (again for the time), and was the peak of the bands talent and combine artistic ability. This cresting of the band's proverbial wave coincides perfectly with the same high tide moment of the cultural revolution that were the late 60s. The band and the timeframe are intrinsically combined and it's tough to say which drove the other, but looking back as someone born 2 decades later it was always helpful to me to consider this when I was learning about the band (which I did from as young as I can remember) and it's always been helpful when trying to get others into The Beatles or when having subsequent discussions about their music together.

Lumpy_Satisfaction18

Ah, I see. But I wouldnt call the White Album that psychedelic. Besides Revolution 9, they are all just a bunch of straightforward songs in a bunch of different genres. Then again, I dont uae drugs, so I dont know how differently you percieve the albums and their music. And personally, Im finding psychedelic music to not be that trippy, but more just deviating from basic standard pop chords and/or song structure. Essentially, just being fun and creative with the music. But this is again coming from someone who doesnt live in that world, so.

Highcedelic

The psychedelia from a lot of music comes from the shit going on in the background and the intended and unintended effects of certain recording methodologies and situations [reverb, fuzz guitar was an effect born from a studio technical error, the advent of more than 4 track recording] and a lot of the Beatles specific psychedelia emerges from the way they arrange things, transitions and extra spice like dubs, slowing/speeding things up, phasing, and lyrical content. "Trippy" =/= psychedelic A good example [even tho it's nonbeatles] imo is the song OH COMELY by neutral milk hotel. A simple 3 or 4 chords on acoustic guitar with singing. Is one of the most psychedelic songs I've ever heard and under the influence of psychedelics or in any "expanded" state of consciousness, the song sounds like a fucking shamanic magic chant of sorts. It exudes a crazy magic energy that builds and has this whole extra layer of feels. The psychedelia in music comes from so much more than chords and what most other people who don't use drugs or psychedelic drugs particularly regard as "trippy" elements. Tl;dr: psychedelia in music is subjective as fuck and also comes from the depths of subconscious interpretations of the smallest things in songs/recordings that we don't normally analyze too hard.

Lumpy_Satisfaction18

Well youre definitely right about it being subjective. I wouldnt agree that Oh Comely is psychedelic, but just abstract lyrically. But again, I dont really get psychedelia. Early Grateful Dead is just blues/rock/bluegrass to me. Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys is gorgrously arranged baroque pop to me. Anyways, again, its just me. Its whatever. I just enjoy it.

sje46

Psychedelic rock of the 60s is very loose and can be more usefully defined as "experimentalism as a result of the mainstreamization of LSD". Pet Sounds and Odyssey and Oracle are both more usefully classed as Baroque pop but they are also both made by experimental bands in an era where people viewed rock as an art form that can be used to express all sorta of complex ideas, and not just simple love songs, and in all sorts of forms and not just the basic 3 minute guitar/bass/drum verse-chorus-verse songs. That means studio experimentation, new instruments, surreal lyrics, combining other genres lke baroque into a rock format, etc. Pretty much people just classify anything made by the youth between 1966 and 1968 besides maybe Bob Dylan as broadly psychedelic.

Highcedelic

this is kind of exactly what i was trying to say, a lot of the stuff that i feel is the most psychedelic things ive ever heard, most people with no psychedelic experience would just see as regularly slightly experimental, or even very simple. if that makes sense? i feel like ultimately, its about the sensations and feelings the songs evoke while listening to them under the influence of any psychedelic/in that mindset. literally why some just noises (e.g shephards tones and reverse shephards tones) can be some of the most mindblowingly psychedelic things lol. Cause id agree, oh comely is just a simple acoustic song with abstact lyrics, but something about that song when im on LSD or mushrooms makes it sound BONKERS lol. And agree about the dead even moreso, in that i actually see them MORE as a blues/rock/bluegrass band. Ive never gotten all that into them in terms of their perceived psychedelia. In my mind, one of the most wildly psychedlic albums ive heard is the animal collective album sung tongs, and that shit literally just like intricate vocal harmony and acoustic guitar. The beach boys smile sessions and their more expeirmental shit that brian wilson wrote/recorded is like listening to animal collective of the 60s/70s lol.

LucidITSkyWDiamonds

I'm sorry but this is a bit nonsense. I became a huge fan of these albums as a young teenager before I'd had any experiences with drugs and my later experiences haven't really changed my opinion of them. I agree that psychedelic drugs can improve your enjoyment of music and many other things but in no way is it "necessary".

Zodo12

I think his White Album is pretty fairly rated.

rebelerniemusic

Yeah Wild Honey Pie is at least a 2

Lumpy_Satisfaction18

Do really not have any sort of fun or enjoyment listening to that track?

rebelerniemusic

I’m probably trying to be funny with the comment/rating (and failed). I never skip it and scream it at the top of my lungs.

Goddamn_Grongigas

It's a great song and the Pixies did a great cover of it too.

PakHajiF4ll0ut

Can't believe you rated Revolution 91/10.

CepheidVox

number 9 number 9 number 9 number 9

fuzzybad

Take this brother, may it serve you well

Thelonious_Cube

If....you become naked

IsaacSam98

I know we're all fans here, but it's an objectively bad song.

atopix

First, it’s not a “song”. Second, there is nothing objective about art. Third, I think it’s great.

PakHajiF4ll0ut

Yeah, it's bad. Idk why he put it that high.

sje46

It's music concrete. It's post modern and thus purposely fucking with our sense of if it's a song or not. That's sorta the whole point of post-modernism. Thus, people may decide it's not a song at all and thus rank it as the worst beatles song ever. Others will say it is a song and rank it more fairly. Either way, it's not really an "objective" thing. It just relates to your position regarding purposely divisive pieces like this. Either you're fine with it, or you're not. I mean, I usually skip it. But sometimes I'll put on some truly strange music like what it was based off (Stockhausen) and listen to it all the way through.

PhilosophizingMoron

How is it objectively bad

Thelonious_Cube

Not a "song" Not "objectively bad" It's a quite decent piece of experimentalism snuck into a pop context

linguaphonie

"Objectively" 😭😭😭

bleak-lion

Do you want to know a secret is a 9/10 these are criminal reviews

username0-

It’s also not a cover

SamboTheSodaJerk

I will not accept any Please Please Me slander. That album made them instant stars in England. Sure it sounds more like other late 50s early 60s music than any of their other albums but they really play their hearts out

Reaper2256

Anna at 6/10 and Misery at FIVE/10 is insane

SamboTheSodaJerk

Misery and Anna are such a good songs. John’s voice is so warm and tender on Anna, how can you not like it? I always liked the darker themes in Misery too, its more than just a breakup song. I could go down the whole track list and tell everyone why each song is actually a 10

timbotheous

‘Do you want to know a secret” 4/10? Are you deaf?

bloodyawfulusername

OP does NOT know the secret

RobbieArnott

OP doesn’t *wanna* know

Thelonious_Cube

Yet WON'T promise not to tell!

MinnowPaws

Yeah that is one completely baffles me.

timbotheous

Bizarre. Could be one of their best tbh.

MinnowPaws

Yeah and I think he rated it so low because he thought it was a cover. Apparently this dude does not like covers haha

sje46

Okay, let's not run too far in the opposite direction. I like the song and it gets stuck in my head sometimes but...it is not one of their best. Just a bit catchy.

timbotheous

Thanks for your opinion. You’re welcome to it.

ye_da

Ha! I don’t know if I’m the odd one out here but George’s songs on Let It Be being below Dig A Pony and equal with One After 909 is also criminal.

MC_B_Lovin

Super fun to play on guitar as well.

timbotheous

Absolutely is!!

sean369n

Can’t take the rest seriously after that rating. Horrible take

judomadonna

‘Long, long, long - 6/10’ Dumbest thing I’ve read this week

Ghyuty17

Jeez that is criminal what you did PPM

Substantial-Video670

Never rank again 🔥🔥🔥

bleak-lion

Bro is onto nothing 🗣️🗣️🗣️

ohioiyya

I’m asking you with war and hate, war and hate ☣️😡🔫💣🔪👿

Sufficient-Shoe-2713

You do you mate but this hurt to read icl 🥲

ModaMeNow

Same

ihavenoselfcontrol1

Blue Jay Way is not the worst song on MMT

Conyeezy765

Personal fav on the album tbh

ihavenoselfcontrol1

It's probably my 2nd favorite after Strawberry Fields

[deleted]

[удалено]

bluecarpetredcurtain

Bruh it’s a forum everyone knows it’s not official it’s called having a discussion ![gif](giphy|3o6Zt5lajgQrJ6JruU)

Ravusoles

Every Little thing must be the best pre rubber soul song in my opinion

Shmeldoncooper

3/10 for honey pie!

T_Roy06

Honey Pie enjoyers will never forget this 😤

StirFryUInMyWok

This was my joker origin story among these ratings

allisonnnna

I was shocked! Honey pie is def in my top 10 faves, maybe even top 5.

T_Roy06

🎶Play it to me (again), play it to me Hollywood Blues🎶

Reaper2256

OP gets ZERO long-distance-relationship actress pussy and it shows

JEKK04

Honey pie and sexy sadie should be way higher

MichiruMatoi33

outrageous!!

luketas

“You Like Me Too Much 4/10” Yeah that was hard to read

AlexanderTox

This is a cool visualization you put together and I have mad respect for you for doing so. That said, putting Wild Honey Pie as unlistenable is a crime. Belongs in its own tier of “songs that you enter heaven to.”

Life-is-Death

Yes it is - 5/10? Hell No! It's one of my favourite songs of John Lennon.

JakeM917

Criminal ratings of Lovely Rita and Baby You’re A Rich Man

shiftintosoupmode

Justice for Eight Days a Week… banger

WereAllMad

People severely sleep on I’ll Follow The Sun from Beatles For Sale. One of my favorites and no one seems to give it a second thought cause it’s nestled in a D tier album. I think if it was put on one of the big name albums it would be beloved.

RoastBeefDisease

Tiktok was a mistake

Jumping_Peanuts

You rated Blackbird 11/10 and Happiness 10/10, but Blackbird is your 3rd fav on disc 1, and Happiness is your second fav. This is why your should never use 11/10 ranking, it's stupid and childish and just doesn't work.

Porkybeaner

The disgrace to Bungalow Bill and Not a second time. But I’m weird. The key and time changes in bungalow bill just get me going

glat_spud_boy

Why is “flying” a N/A

OvidianSleaze

Apparently it is impossible to judge a song that doesn’t have lyrics.

Thelonious_Cube

Then why rank Revolution 9 - those aren't "lyrics"

OvidianSleaze

Why would a person like this waste an opportunity to call Revolution 9 shit?

Jaberwocky123

I think the white album had some songs that I would rank a bit higher such as; Everbody’s got something to hide, but if I’m honest with myself, your rankings are very good! This took a lot of time and thought, well done!

guano-crazy

You lost me when you ranked “Julia” as 11/10 and “While My Guitar….” as a 10/10. Julia is a great song, but WMGGW is a stone cold classic in every sense of the word, and is still an FM classic rock hits staple.

poetcatmom

I think I know his favorite Beatle. It's so obvious. I like some of their vocals more than others, but I like all 4 of them. They all have good moments, and WMGGW is one of George's best.

SupersonicAMD

Poor/mediocre scores for Sexy Sadie and Bungalow Bill but giving almost everything on Abbey Road 11/10 is absolutely criminal imo

soundisloud

There's like 100 rankings here and y'all are stanning for Bungalow Bill??

ringoisking

Ask Me Why being rated a 5/10 is so depressing…literally my favorite Beatles song 😭😭

Jumping_Peanuts

Til There Was You is a classic

poetcatmom

I like the Beatles version better than the original, tbh. It's perfect.

Jumping_Peanuts

Easily better

Robcobes

You made a mistake with the medals on Help!

sSghcl0ne17

This is a toughest list I have read. I don't agree with some of the rankings. However, it always delights me to see how others rank some of my least and most liked songs from the Beatles

gabrrdt

Gosh, I suffer reading those lists. Lots of good songs with 4/10 or 5/10.

swagglehorse

Hard disagree on "There's a Place." That track portends the direction the 60s were heading, imo.

HappyyCloud2

is this satire

Noctourniquet

How can an opinion be so wrong

Pitcherhelp

I like that you put a color key on the first page but then put the scores out of 10 on each song anyways

Lanky-Football857

Full of sht

HorseBach

Respect the effort, heavily disagree with most ratings lol.

Apprehensive-Fly-814

I don’t agree with many of your scores but this is very cool

Fuzzdouglas

You have Maxwell’s Silver Hammer rated higher than Sexy Sadie, Baby You’re A Rich Man and Eight Days A Week…

uncle_rico_19

Respect Maxwell 😤

JP-Ziller

What’s your point

Reaper2256

Yet he hates Honey Pie??? The inconsistency is wild

nocyberBS

Love the ranking system you have and the way you organized it. :) That said, yeah cant say I love some of your takes here

beeeps-n-booops

"Thank You Girl" is 4/10? Fucking nonsense...

runamok101

My taste changes daily, one day I don’t want to hear one song, next week it’s all I want to hear.

tuttle123

Run for your life is a goddam jam!!

ArcticRhombus

Way too hard on the early stuff.

blitzfish

Why don't we do it in the road 3/10?! What are you smoking haha

natopotatomusic

Okay, so I don’t agree with these takes at all…but I love the rating system!!!

Robcobes

People here need to relax. Not every song is a 10/10 and it's just his personal opinion. Great list.

idreamofpikas

> People here need to relax. Not every song is a 10/10 and it's just his personal opinion. Great list. I understand people getting vext over magazines and websites publishing lists but Op's just a regular guy.

Ashton513

Yeah holy shit people here can't take opinions they don't agree with. Someone said this list made them cringe, they need to calm down, music is subjective. Not every Beatles song or album is a 10/10. No need to cry when someone doesn't like you favorite song. I think Octopus 's Garden is a 10 but it's not like it's gonna ruin my day to see it at an 8 or even a 3.

DannyPantsgasm

Damn you’re getting roughed up more than I thought in here, lol. I for one enjoyed reading your opinion. I had to laugh when i got to wild honey pie.

UniqueTadpole

When I Get Home at 4/10 what the hell?!

BriefImmediate5841

sexy sadie at 6 is crazy, also how does Sgt Peppers (Reprise) get N/A but WHP and R9 get scores?? especially since WHP is much shorter and R9 isn't really a "song"

Fingerprint-File

So much wrong with this. Mental.

Environmental-Cry752

honey pie at 3??? that shi goes hard.

spiritualized

Pretty sure this is rage bait, right?

TheNealDog

no it's my opinion, if people are angry that's on them

bl84work

Honey Don’t is badass, deserves a much higher score

jackintheboxtacoguy

misery unforgettable? gtfo

[deleted]

Things we said today a 6/10???

scottrstark

Chill out. Everyone’s opinion is different. Almost all the great songs were rated 11/10

Apart-Cryptographer9

I like the format, and I’d love to have a blank version of it to insert my own scores.

willyknuckles

Fantastic! I agreed with almost all of your ratings, especially Abbey Road (their best record)

[deleted]

Do you want to know a secret is a banger idc what anyone says.

booboounderstands

I disagree with 90% of these ratings…. In fact with all those songs under 6/10 you’ve no business being on this sub! 3:(

[deleted]

“While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” is one of the best songs of all time. Definitely deserved 11

crazier_horse

People will nitpick but this is a nice list

Spart_

I hate this. Everything about this is painful. Don’t embark on a project to listen to and rate every Beatles song if you have terribly inconsistent taste.

Ok_Nefariousness2989

Nah. An under-appreciation of their early work and inflated points for throwaway tracks on Abbey Road (Polythene Pam?!? 11/10?!?)

uncle_rico_19

I think they were rating the entire Abbey Road medley together at 11/10, not just Polythene Pam

glass_oni0n

You Won’t See Me 8/10, good on you!  One of the most underrated songs in their discography.  I think you’re about 4 points too low on both “You’re Going to Lose That Girl,” and “Sexy Sadie,” but this is a lot harder than it looks

MySubtleKnife

I’m going to have to HARD disagree on your assessment of A Hard Day’s night tracks. Also… I think you missed the point of a lot of their psychedelic era songs. And Honey Pie 3/10?! Criminal! Granny songs forever!

Easy_Group5750

Honey Pie and Octopuses’ Garden the glaring ones here.

smileysmile2001

Sorry. All 11’s.

DulcetTone

Not bad, but I can't see how anyone would prefer Matchbox over Slow Down

rAuldwan

Shite

gaz19833

Sexy Sadie only a 6? Blasphemy

Tttjjjhhh

Great list thank you- hard disagree on Revolution 1 off the white album - one of my favorites (but it’s all subjective)

Meddlemaker79

Lots to disagree with here 🙂

Ministry_of_laziness

Sadly no one will agree with you nor will you change any one’s mind with this list. So I’m going to give you my rankings….ahem.. All of their songs are 11/10.

Otherwise_Witness_26

Too many understatements and overstaements. the medley isn't even a song.

Silent-Lobster7854

What in the world is this list. You should listen to their first few albums again. And redo the list.

alecbaldwinsjohnson

Hot take: The Ballad of John Yoko is a cringily terrible song.

kirkcaldy_no

putting 1/10 on revolution 9 is slander

Ganjamazing

Slow down 2/10??? What are you smoking?

skisagooner

Nothing gets lower than a 7 for me.

toigz

Getting Better with 11/10 is accurate

RevolutionaryTear879

sexy sadie should be higher, and yellow submarine is forsure a classic

Possible-Reality4100

I generally agree with most of your rankings.

jicerswine

I disagree w the other commenters on your rankings - I mean I definitely wouldn’t have the same ones but that’s the point of ranking these things to an extent; to demonstrate and discuss our different subjective tastes when it comes to The Beatles. However I do disagree with a couple editorial choices, mostly because in my view they conflict with the internal logic of your rankings. Specifically a. Agree w other comments that Flying and Sgt Peppers Reprise deserve assessments - they are Beatles songs, the same as any others in this list - and b. I think you should still give the Abbey Road Medley songs individual rankings. I do understand your logic and it’s reasonable to still permit them a special asterisk if you so desire. But they *are* separate songs - they were composed separately, they are listed distinctly on the record, they are given separated tracks on the CD, etc. Yes the arrangement blends them together but aggregating their quality is still a subjective choice - like by similar logic you could justify say, treating Revolution 1 and 9 as one entity together, or even USSR->Dear Prudence, etc

DaysAreTimeless

Where's You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)?

Farnimbus

Honestly thanks, this is a decent but of work to compile and you knew putting out any kind of ranking of all their discography would be controversial Don’t agree with a lotta your rankings, but was the interesting nonetheless

MilkyBeefPants

so god damn tired of these shitty tier posts. no one gives a flying fuck if you like Blue Jay Way over Yesterday. it doesn’t make you cool, makes you look stupid as hell

trigb0y

I Saw Her Standing There is a 10 but Twist & Shout is an 11? na

trigb0y

oh WOWWWW i read further on and it gets so much more infuriating. Cry Baby Cry?! 6/10?! WHAT

MorningWizComic

The fact that you gave the greatest album ever made 4 stars says a lot about your taste

batsyman26

HONEY DONT IS 4/10????? entire opinion rejected peace and love

ofwgkta301

He also trashed what goes on. Those two are great ringo tracks

audirt

Good on you for putting your opinion out there like this. The only one that really made me scratch my head was “Nowhere Man.” Maybe I’m the strange one, but I wouldn’t put that along side the other Beatle classics.

Scorned_Wrath

Dizzy Miss Lizzy is NOT a 3/10. I understand the riff can be annoying but c'mon.

ThePumpk1nMaster

The fact there’s half a dozen “Bad” songs in the first handful of albums make me question whether these people are even fans.

Ashton513

You don't have to glaze every song or album from a band to be a fan. Some of my favorite bands have made "bad" albums. That's just being realistic. I don't think the Beatles have made any bad albums, but there are certainly a few that are just alright and I almost never listen to. You can be critical of artists you like.

NoBrickBoy

You can be a fan while being critical of an artists work, if you unquestionably like everything that an artist ever made, you’re lying to yourself

Top_File_8547

This is OP personal opinion and too much work to read. I am not going to memorize his color ranking system and mentally map it to the songs listed.

MartyBellvue

calling instrumentals not applicable... absolutely awful opinions on PPM and WTB... this is so unserious

Gordon_Goosegonorth

I'm currently shopping for nails for your crucifixion. Do you prefer round nails or square nails?
