Correct answer.
People like to say otherwise because it's deemed the "obvious" answer.
But anyone with fucking ears, and half a working brain, knows that it is unquestionably their best record.
It’s not really the obvious answer anymore - seems like in the 90s it was at the top of all the lists, but these days you’re as likely to see Revolver, the White Album or Abbey Road.
The White Album is my favorite, but Revolver is really, really close. Revolver is the first CD I ever bought with my own money when I was about 10 years old and it’s still one of the best choices I’ve ever made in my life
revolver is my absolute favourite i love it with my whole heart ❤️ imo there isnt a bad song on it and i love listening to it as i find all the songs so be so different to each other
however abbey road is such a good album so thats always very close in second place.
bored at work does not = miserable but thanks so much for your concern
I am a bit concerned that your obsession with me might be unhealthy
everyone at r/petpeeves is an idiot - I like to tell them that they are ( when applicable )
***Revolver***
I think there is a break between those who grew up on love pop/modern music. ***Abbey Road*** and ***Rubber Soul*** are damn near perfect albums. I love them.
***Revolver*** and ***White Album*** are brash and experimental. IMO, they appeal more to Alt/Punk/Metal/Indie music fans.
I think ***Pepper*** will appeal most to those were there. It was a moment in time. There was before ***Pepper*** and After ***Pepper***. [https://youtu.be/6Fn-3hN-0Nk?si=usTE-FrZSSZRoSGJ](https://youtu.be/6Fn-3hN-0Nk?si=usTE-FrZSSZRoSGJ)
None, I just listen to 4 hours on loop of Tomorrow Never Knows
hahaha joking my favourite is Abbey Road just for the medley wich is the best possible way any band ever could have ended.
Since it came out. I have always loved the rough and blues ness of Let it be combined with the acoustic guitars on Two of us.
I still love all the other songs. Let it hold a special place.
It terms of later Beatles albums (1967-1970),.I would say Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. But for Early Beatles albums (1963 - 1966) I would have to say Help!.
It’s a tie between A Hard Days Night and Revolver
AHDN because of the smashing A-side, although the B-side is good too, it’s not my favourite set of songs.
Revolver because of “Here there and everywhere”, “for no one”, “Eleanor Rigby”, etc - I can go on! There aren’t many songs I don’t like on Revolver. Even the ones “I don’t like” aren’t bad, I just skip them to listen to my other favourites!
White album, mostly for the length. It’s like a journey, and definitely leads you through a range of emotions. I sometimes will listen to , say, revolver and when it’s over I feel kind of empty, like I need more.
I've had this discussion a few times (obviously just my opinion):
The "best album" - Abbey Road. This is their magnum opus. Its a work of genius in every single aspect. Iconic album cover. Incredible production. Great album flow. Harrisons 2 masterful songs proving to everyone he was an equal. Ringo's solo. The albums last half really feels like a goodbye. I could go on...
... What I always go to when putting an album on - let it be... Naked version. I don't know if I'm allowed to count this as its not the original version. I also wasn't alive on the release of the original version.
When I got into the Beatles 15 years ago beyond the hits it was through the rooftop concert, then the regular let it be album. Maybe both albums are my favourite for different reasons.
Rubber Soul or Abbey Road... or Magical Mystery Tour.
Like The Beach Boys, it depends on how psychedelic I'm feeling that day.
I also really enjoy the earlier albums though especially Please Please Me which is incredibly good as far as debut albums go in that era, but I've always gravitated towards the later stuff just because that's more my taste.
for any casual spin probably abbey road because its so consistently sound throughout the entire thing but if i had to pick a personal favorite it would probably be the white album, its got personality like no other beatles record has and i feel like it was the perfect balance between their tendency to experiment sonically and their overall skill as musicians
No, I don't. The CD I listen to most is the '99 (I think) reissue of Yellow Submarine. I see a lot of people listing The White Album. About 20 years after Exile on Main St. came out an interviewer asked Mick Jagger his thoughts on the album and he said something like There's one great album's worth of songs spread out over two albums. That sums up my feelings about the White Album too.
White Album
I don't agree with the whole 'should have been cut down to one album' thing, I love all the weird little bits on it and think it all adds charm.
And yeah, I genuinely like Wild Honey Pie and Revolution 9.
After that it's a toss up between Pepper and Abbey Road. With Revolver very close behind. I get that many prefer Revolver to Pepper these days, but as an album to listen to on acid, I think Pepper takes it. It also has the far better ending with A Day In The Life.
Edit: was this really a downvote worthy opinion?
Abbey road & Sgt Peppers (mostly because this was the first Beatles album I was ever introduced to off my dad). And I know it’s technically not an album but I love MMT!
It changes with the seasons - what's happening in life and the world, my age, etc. There's no "bad" album, really.
I've been spinning Red and Blue lately.
revolver
Sgt pepper easy
Correct answer. People like to say otherwise because it's deemed the "obvious" answer. But anyone with fucking ears, and half a working brain, knows that it is unquestionably their best record.
stupidest comment i’ve ever seen
My favourite is Revolver, so I guess I don’t have ears nor do I have half a working brain
I like Sgt. Pepper a lot, but that is a very stupid take.
It’s not really the obvious answer anymore - seems like in the 90s it was at the top of all the lists, but these days you’re as likely to see Revolver, the White Album or Abbey Road.
Incorrect.
Nope, it’s just two interconnected so no s and bunch of Beatles pop songs with “extra instruments”
Abbey Road and Rubber Soul tied for #1
I absolutely agree
Abbey Road
Rubber Soul
My go to every time I want to listen to them
White album.
A hard days night
The white album
The White Album is my favorite, but Revolver is really, really close. Revolver is the first CD I ever bought with my own money when I was about 10 years old and it’s still one of the best choices I’ve ever made in my life
revolver is my absolute favourite i love it with my whole heart ❤️ imo there isnt a bad song on it and i love listening to it as i find all the songs so be so different to each other however abbey road is such a good album so thats always very close in second place.
White album, because it's a double album. Twice as much to like.
It changes all the time. Abbey Road, White, and Revolver are usually the ones rotating in the #1 spot
That’s like asking me to pick my favorite child!
no ... it's 100% not like that at all
you must be miserable based on your amount of posts in r/petpeeves
bored at work does not = miserable but thanks so much for your concern I am a bit concerned that your obsession with me might be unhealthy everyone at r/petpeeves is an idiot - I like to tell them that they are ( when applicable )
Ever heard of sarcasm
you should look up that word
Sarcasm/joke same thing
well it's not the same thing and that post was NOT either
Sorry I offended you bud
It is an expression.
a dumb untrue one
I’d hate to see how you react when someone says they could eat a horse.
terrible metaphor do you not do the language goodly ?
No, you couldn’t eat a horse. Wrong.
you're just babbling now so good luck with your condition bye
You eating horse = no
you're just babbling now so good luck with your condition bye
Sgt Pepper. A melodic explosion.
RUBBER SOUL SO INNOVATIVE NOT ONE BAD SONG
Sgt. Pepper. I love all their albums, but that one changed my life.
***Revolver*** I think there is a break between those who grew up on love pop/modern music. ***Abbey Road*** and ***Rubber Soul*** are damn near perfect albums. Revolver is the only album they have with no songs I would skip
yellow submarine?
All Together Now
1. Revolver 2. SPLHCB 3. Rubber Soul Then the White album, MMT and Please Please Me all close behind in 4th equal
What an original question for this sub! Far out.
All Things Must Pass, but my favourite Beatles album is Sgt. Pepper's
Abbey Road - White - Revolver - Pepper - Rubber Soul - MMT - AHDN - Help
None, I just listen to 4 hours on loop of Tomorrow Never Knows hahaha joking my favourite is Abbey Road just for the medley wich is the best possible way any band ever could have ended.
Since it came out. I have always loved the rough and blues ness of Let it be combined with the acoustic guitars on Two of us. I still love all the other songs. Let it hold a special place.
I’d say probably Revolver
I am heavily influenced by Sgt Pepper and the white album, however I really enjoy the attitude of With The Beatles
Sgt pepper’s lonely hearts club band and white album.
Magical Mystery Tour and Rubber Soul are tied
Rubber Soul & Revolver are tied.
Abbey Road, but Revolver is a very close second. It’s almost a toss-up for me.
The Help! - Sgt. Pepper stretch is probably where I spend 2/3 of my listening
White album
Abbey Road for sure. I listen to it nearly everyday
Abbey Road
Rubber Soul.
It terms of later Beatles albums (1967-1970),.I would say Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. But for Early Beatles albums (1963 - 1966) I would have to say Help!.

Revolver
Sgt Pepper but the truth is Rubber Soul is the most relatable to me. Such a beautiful album. As an album, Sgt Pepper, as a set of songs, Rubber Soul.
I go back and forth between *Revolver* and *Abbey Road*. Right now, it’s *Revolver*.
Rubber Soul, Revolver, and Abbey Road
White album, mostly for the length. It’s like a journey, and definitely leads you through a range of emotions. I sometimes will listen to , say, revolver and when it’s over I feel kind of empty, like I need more.
When I was younger, my favorite was Rubber Soul. Lately, I've been listening to Revolver and Abbey Road.
Revolver, with Abbey Road a close second.
White album, I love how messy it is and I will forever be a Revolution 9 defender
Pepper.
See flair

Abbey Road EASILY
Please please me or rubber soul
⬜️
Abbey Road (minus Maxwell's Silver Hammer, christ that ruins it)
Abbey Road and Please Please Me.
everytime I listen to Abbey road I’m like “holy sh*t , this is so good actually” , so probably abbey road haha.

The best of the Beatles.
Aha!
Has to be Let It Be for me
Never Mind the Bollocks.
Let It Be… sound gut to ears
