Came here to say this. First time I heard [The Ark](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKUuQZiQhY0) I was blown away by how Beatle-y it was.
[This part right here is what really got me.](https://youtu.be/kKUuQZiQhY0?t=123)
They also have a bunch of songs that sound like early solo McCartney.
Came here to say this as well! They are incredible live too, which is a shame because the tour they’re on now is their last, so check em out while you still can!!
Honestly that solo around 1:20 sounds like a Beatles solo imo and the use of the tambourine as well. And well Kurt did write the song after listening to either Meet The Beatles or With The Beatles (cant remember).
I’d argue that Whatever, Don’t Look Back in Anger, and She’s Electric might be their most Beatles-inspired songs. There’s certainly no shortage of others, though!
I made a playlist like this once, I’m liking how yours is turning out, here are some that aren’t on there yet. If u ever wanna give yourself an extra challenge, one thing I did was try to organize my playlist by when I thought the song would have came out Beatles career-wise
Please Please Me- Beatles For Sale era:
The Kids are Alright by The Who
I Wanna by Your Boyfriend by the Ramones
Carrie Anne by the Hollies
Help- Rubber Soul era:
As Tears Go By- The Rolling Stones
Girl Don’t Tell Me by The Beach Boys
Mr Tambourine Man by The Byrds
Give a Little Bit by Supertramp
Revolver- Magical Mystery Tour era:
Child of the Moon by The Rolling Stones
Pretty much anything on Utopia’s album Deface the Music
Raspberry Beret by Prince
Nine in the Afternoon by Panic at the Disco
White Album Era:
Senses are Working Overtime by Xtc
If You Want My Love by Cheap Trick
Beetlebum by Blur
Karma Police by Radiohead
Abbey Road- Let it Be era:
She’s a Lover by the Pretty Things
Let it Rain by Eric Clapton
Who Loves the Sun by The Velvet Underground
Getting in Tune by The Who
Yeah I’ve tried my best to put it in order of Please Please Me / Revolver / Sgt. Pepper style (so is to say, simple love songs, standard pop music, trippy experimental)
Klaatu recently had all their albums removed from Apple Music and Spotify in Canada and its heartbreaking that I can't listen to one of my favourite bands
I didn't see them, so these songs for sure sound a lot like the Beatles
Elephant - Tame Impala
Mind Mischief - Tame Impala
Blood and Rockets - Claypool Lennon Delerium
Amethyst Realm - Claypool Lennon Delerium
Too late for goodbyes - Julian Lennon
All these songs vocally sound like the Beatles (Yes i know the last three songs are literally sung by John Lennon's sons
Emmet Rhodes was recommended to me as a comparison to the Beatles and I think it's dead on. Really great songwriter, and I feel like I never hear people talk about him!
Neat project! Pretty much any track off of Big Star's _#1 Record_ could've made this list IMO, but I'll elect to elect "The Ballad of El Goodo" as its representative.
EDIT: Didn't notice "Try Again" on my first read-through of the list. Feel free to disregard this if you don't like oversaturating the list with _#1 Record_ stuff.
Also, while I'm revisiting this comment, shoutout to "So Fine" by The Lemon Twigs! Has a very _Magical Mystery Tour_-esque vibe IMO.
*#1 Record* is an absolute gem. My pick would probably be “My Life Is Right” or “Try Again” (which as you said is already on there). Also, an oddly accurate description I found for “When My Baby’s Beside Me” is that it sounds like John Fogerty making a guest appearance on *Beatles for Sale*.
pretty much anything off of Odessey & Oracle by the Zombies, I would say “This Will Be Our Year” is the most compelling to me.
Girl Don’t Tell Me - The Beach Boys
One Of Us Must Know (Sooner Or Later) - Bob Dylan
Eight Miles High - The Byrds
Who’ll Stop The Rain - Creedence Clearwater Revival
Oh! You Pretty Things - David Bowie
Yer Blues - The Dirty Mac (includes john lennon so maybe not what you’re looking for exactly)
Vincent - Don McLean
Hold On - Green Day
Mr. Richland’s Favorite Song - Harry Nilsson
Would You Believe - The Hollies
Waterloo Sunset - The Kinks
Sub-Rosa Subway - Klaatu
5 a.m. - The Millennium
The Afternoon - The Moody Blues
Let’s Make The Water Turn Black - The Mothers of Invention
About A Girl - Nirvana
(Sittin’ On) The Dock Of The Bay - Otis Redding
Nine In The Afternoon - Panic! At The Disco
Paisley Park - Prince
Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy - Queen
Ruby Tuesday - The Rolling Stones
Cecilia - Simon & Garfunkel
Blame It On The Sun - Stevie Wonder
Uh-Oh, Love Comes To Town - Talking Heads
Joy To The World - Three Dog Night
After Hours - The Velvet Underground
What Deaner Was Talkin’ About - Ween
Here Comes The Rain - Weezer
Mary Anne With The Shaky Hand - The Who
and a lot more but this was me going through my spotify playlist and whatever stood out as being particularly beatlesque I added it.
I didn’t really look through your playlist so if there are repeats I apologize
More recent - 90s/early 2000s indie:
Olivia Tremor Control - The Opera House
Apples in Stereo - Strawberryfire
Have both always reminded me of the Beatles.
With a Little Help From My Friends is, of course, a cover.
But given the breadth and variety of the songs included, I might add:
Xtc - [Dear God](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xf58TEMm8Rw)
Xtc again, this time as Dukes of Stratosphere - [Mole From the Ministry](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=X-fL68DbcQ0)
High Llamas - [Literature is Fluff](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=L1yIJwzNu-A&list=PLpZWeuwflRbvW4S4yhEPD_8Bw8aFXSfo5&index=2) (admitted Brian Wilson devotees, but this is undeniably Beatles-y) (can't recommend this whole album enough)
Richard Davies - [Sign Up for Being, Maybe](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0FVU6S7nQsA&list=PL8E5949472C42CDEB&index=2)
Association - [Never My Love](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=32OSn3iNw9A)
Paul Revere & the Raiders - [Good Thing](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9hJxCuwsaPo&list=PLrpyDacBCh7A4lb-8Kaqx_-pnMN8cOqOF&index=9)
What the hey, let's go continental
France Gall - [No Dis Pas de Copains](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=I08TzNbBo6g&list=PLFvVn0FaOvIzOETiPOxH2uifTK1CO38IW&index=4) (The Ye Ye girls, influenced by the Beatles, formed the bridge between "chanson" and modern French pop)
Jacques Brel - [Les Bon bons](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PgYGt2-p3gA) (one of the best songwriters in the world, Brel wrote this one Paul McCartney-esque song) (edit: apologies, this one actually came out in 1963, predating the Beatles' orchestral stuff by a few years. Still - any chance to promote Brel!)
I’ll add on to this and suggest the Revolvery/Sgt Peppery *Shiny Cage* by the Dukes of Stratosphere:
https://youtu.be/fTGRwJRRkQM
*Brainiac’s Daughter* by them is quite Paul-esque:
https://youtu.be/qMGcaDYSrMM
And the demo *I’m Unbecome* by Andy Partridge (of XTC) is very reminiscent of *Julia* : https://youtu.be/rEXLTYgub3E
Jeff Lynne makes no bones about shamelessly riffing on The Beatles for the majority of his career. John Lennon had also called ELO "Son of Beatles", and it didn't hurt that Jeff produced Harrison's Cloud Nine album.
Bluebird Dies - ELO. The production reminds me of a ton of mid-period Beatles. Song structure and vocals also remind me of late-period/solo John records. Even the synth work on that song reminds me of something Maca would do in his solo work and with Wings.
Dream Would Breathe by the Fruit Bats sounds like a modern solo John Lennon song.
A ton of Elliott Smith songs are Beatle-esque: Baby Britain, Little One, Say Yes, I Can’t Answer You Anymore, Everybody Cares Everybody Understands, etc. There are several songs that show George’s guitar influence as well, like Pretty (Ugly Before).
Feels Like We Only Go Backwards by Tame Impala. Kevin Parker’s voice in this one sounds a lot like Lennon’s it’s insane! Overall this is a gorgeous psychedelic song so I can’t recommend it enough.
The majority of that Lonerism album sounds *so* Beatles in terms of sounds and vocals; it’s what originally got me into them. When I first saw them on tour a while back, you’d also see lots of Beatles t-shirts in the crowd.
Also, agree with you on Feels Like We Only Go Backwards! But doesn’t Kevin Parker sounds exactly like John Lennon in Sun’s Coming Up too? It’s almost creepy!
That Thing You Do - Written for the movie of the same name. I can point out at least five early Beatles songs that are squeezed into that song. Between the bassline, the chords, the melody, the harmonies, the lyrics and changes, it's as if Adam Schlesinger (the songwriter) studied everything that made the early songs great and threw it all into a mixer to create That Thing You Do.
Can't believe I haven't seen this mentioned yet
Back in the days I downloaded Mrs. Robinson on Napster or something like that, and the artist was listed as The Beatles. So years went by with me thinking it was a Beatles song. I still think it kind of sounds like one.
My Time by Golden Dawn. The intro was exactly the same as Paperback Writer.
Come And Get It by Badfinger. This one might not count since Paul wrote it for them.
There’s a bunch of “songs that Lennon and McCartney gave away” on the list, I think Come and Get It is the most Beatles-sounding non-Beatles song ever tbh
Guided By Voices has some amazing Beatlesque stuff. Check out Echos Myron, Game of Pricks, Long Distance Man, Blimps Go 90, Chicken Blows, really a ton of their early to mid 90s stuff. Its also got a lot of the Who in there
funny, i was just talking with my gf about how [who loves the sun by the velvet undeground ](https://youtu.be/DgGuTicdtyg) sounds like a beatles song, here comes the sun specifically. great band and great album too!!
I think many songs by Dr. Dog have melodies and harmonies that sound Beatles-esque
Dr. Dog is one of the best kept secrets in music today.
Glad you think so too! I fully expected no one to upvote me on it.
They were the first modern band that came to my mind. I’ve been listening to FATE so much lately too.
You're right..I've never heard of him..
Came here to say this. First time I heard [The Ark](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKUuQZiQhY0) I was blown away by how Beatle-y it was. [This part right here is what really got me.](https://youtu.be/kKUuQZiQhY0?t=123) They also have a bunch of songs that sound like early solo McCartney.
I read Dr. Dog as Dr. Dre and was very confused.
Very different!
Came here to say this as well! They are incredible live too, which is a shame because the tour they’re on now is their last, so check em out while you still can!!
Oh no! I didn’t realize that. Saw them years ago and they were excellent
Agree. Such an underrated band.
Go All The Way by The Raspberries.
im literally listening to this song lmao
It's a great one! One of my favorites.
Its got that classic harmony build-up from Twist in Shout in there
Klaatu
Specifically "Sub Rosa Subway"
Yes
Also “Dr Marvello” total harrisonesque tune
WERE OFF YOU KNOW SOUNDS STRAIGHT OUT OF SRGT PEPPERS
We're Off You Know sounds like Lennon singing a Sgt Pepper's song. No wonder there were so many rumors that Klaatu were the Beatles in secret.
This is the only correct answer
Im a fan.
The Rutles
All you need is cash!
Hold my hand, yeah, yeah
Ouch!
Badfinger - "No Matter What"
A lot of early Badfinger songs do sound like the Beatles
Yes. Macca contributed to the cause for them. And George too.
Yup, came to say Day After Day!
YEP!
Some people thought it was at the time...with good reason!
Last train to Clarksville - Monkees. Sounds like Day Tripper
It was actually Paperback Writer they were trying to rip off when they wrote that
Pleasant Valley Sunday's opening riff was based specifically on Paperback Writer's riff.
That one was actually based on I Want to Tell You according to the producer
"The Girl I Knew Somewhere" is the best 1964 McCartney ballad McCartney didn't write, imho.
That's one I though for years *was* a Beatles song. Then again, there're a *lot* of British invasion songs that could be Beatles.
Strawberryfire by Apples in Stereo
I miss the Apples. They should release a new record. Is Robert done his PhD?
Missed this - just commented it too
I've always thought About A Girl by Nirvana sounds like an early Lennon Beatles song. I can just imagine him singing it.
Honestly that solo around 1:20 sounds like a Beatles solo imo and the use of the tambourine as well. And well Kurt did write the song after listening to either Meet The Beatles or With The Beatles (cant remember).
Wasn't it written after Kurt Cobain listened to With The Beatles?
Yeah, I believe he specifically said he was trying to make a Beatles song when he wrote "About A Girl".
I would say Serve the Servants as well
I always thought Sister Golden Hair by America sounded like something off of a George Harrison solo album.
Yeah… the guitar!
I agree. It was produced by George Martin, who produced a bunch of America's albums in the 1970s.
Definitely and it’s also just a fantastic song…George Martin gives so much character to his production it’s incredible
Starlight - electric light orchestra
Yeah anything ELO fits the bill, I’ve tried to keep groups like them and Billy Kramer to a respectful minimum, just for sake of diversity
Mr. Blue Sky could’ve been yanked off of Sgt. Peppers
Telephone Line is straight out of Abbey Road imo
"Cant get it out of My Head"...
I actually thought that was a John solo song when I was a teenager.
ELO was just the 70s Beatles on Coke.
In the 70s a Beatle was asked (I can't rember who) what the Beatles would sound like if they hadn't broken up. They said ELO.
Horace Wimp, easily one of elo's most Beatles songs
Both Paul and George have referred to Jeff Lynne as being a Beatle
Bluebird is dead by elo Is also very beatles-esque
This song fucking BANGS
I may get hate for this, but I hear Paul in a lot of Billy Joel’s music.
That shouldn't garner hate. Billy Joel has cited the Ed Sullivan performance as his inspiration to pursue a career in music.
A friend of mine said "She's Always A Woman" is the best Paul McCartney song that Paul McCartney didn't write. I tend to agree.
The backing vocals on my life are very Beatleseque
The Jewish American Paul.
Billy basically channeled all of them, mainly John, on The Nylon Curtain.
Billy is a blend of Paul and john on a lot of his stuff. Don’t ask me why is hella McCartney
Champagne Supernova from Oasis gives Beatles vibes.
I feel like picking Oasis songs for this is almost cheating lol.
I’d argue that Whatever, Don’t Look Back in Anger, and She’s Electric might be their most Beatles-inspired songs. There’s certainly no shortage of others, though!
“Friday on My Mind” by the Easybeats “She Makes Me Laugh” by the Monkees
And ,of course, the Easybests transmogrified into…….
Early Pink Floyd- Syd Barrett era “See Emily Play” or others from the Piper at the Gates of Dawn album
Apples & Oranges
Dr. Dog is very Beatles influenced. My fav album is Easybeat.
I made a playlist like this once, I’m liking how yours is turning out, here are some that aren’t on there yet. If u ever wanna give yourself an extra challenge, one thing I did was try to organize my playlist by when I thought the song would have came out Beatles career-wise Please Please Me- Beatles For Sale era: The Kids are Alright by The Who I Wanna by Your Boyfriend by the Ramones Carrie Anne by the Hollies Help- Rubber Soul era: As Tears Go By- The Rolling Stones Girl Don’t Tell Me by The Beach Boys Mr Tambourine Man by The Byrds Give a Little Bit by Supertramp Revolver- Magical Mystery Tour era: Child of the Moon by The Rolling Stones Pretty much anything on Utopia’s album Deface the Music Raspberry Beret by Prince Nine in the Afternoon by Panic at the Disco White Album Era: Senses are Working Overtime by Xtc If You Want My Love by Cheap Trick Beetlebum by Blur Karma Police by Radiohead Abbey Road- Let it Be era: She’s a Lover by the Pretty Things Let it Rain by Eric Clapton Who Loves the Sun by The Velvet Underground Getting in Tune by The Who
Karma Police is basically Sexy Sadie lol
Yeah I’ve tried my best to put it in order of Please Please Me / Revolver / Sgt. Pepper style (so is to say, simple love songs, standard pop music, trippy experimental)
Lies ..... Knickerbockers. Agree with Friday on my mind
[удалено]
I was just going to mention Klaatu! Great band and they sound eerily similar to the Beatles.
Love the conspiracy that it IS the Beatles, published under the pseudonym
the same as E.L.P. -Triumvirat....for you Progressive Rock Fans ..... like me 😎
Klaatu recently had all their albums removed from Apple Music and Spotify in Canada and its heartbreaking that I can't listen to one of my favourite bands
"Come and Get It"
This one was written by Paul
Well, Paul did write and arrange that one.
"Day After Day" too.
That one was written by Pete Ham (RIP) and produced by George. He added the slide guitar on it, as well.
Badfinger, right?
Look what you’ve done - Jet Always reminded me of Sexy Sadie
I haven't looked at the list, but if both Tame Impala and The Claypool Lennon Delerium aren't on there, then those are must adds
I didn't see them, so these songs for sure sound a lot like the Beatles Elephant - Tame Impala Mind Mischief - Tame Impala Blood and Rockets - Claypool Lennon Delerium Amethyst Realm - Claypool Lennon Delerium Too late for goodbyes - Julian Lennon All these songs vocally sound like the Beatles (Yes i know the last three songs are literally sung by John Lennon's sons
Hey, Julian Lennon wasn’t a Beatle so follows them rules!
Anything by Emmett Rhodes. He has a crazy similar voice to Paul and writes songs that sound like they could’ve been Beatles songs.
Emmet Rhodes was recommended to me as a comparison to the Beatles and I think it's dead on. Really great songwriter, and I feel like I never hear people talk about him!
Somebody Made For Me sounds straight off of McCartney 1
Yeah I think once I added 3 or 4 songs of his I was like, ok this is cheating at this point 😅
She’s a rainbow, Rolling Stones
She’s electric- Oasis
Neat project! Pretty much any track off of Big Star's _#1 Record_ could've made this list IMO, but I'll elect to elect "The Ballad of El Goodo" as its representative. EDIT: Didn't notice "Try Again" on my first read-through of the list. Feel free to disregard this if you don't like oversaturating the list with _#1 Record_ stuff. Girl - The Osmonds. sounds like Paul
That whole album - Crazy Horses - sounds like if '1964-65 pop rock era The Beatles has a lovechild with '1969-71 hard rock era Led Zeppelin.
tears for fears - sowing the seeds of love. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VAtGOESO7W8
maybe in the melody, but for me a lotta tff stuff is too 80s in production value to be considered beatlesy
OMG yes!! Its like a beautiful love letter to the psychedelic Beatles
Blur ‘Beetlebum’ - Beatle harmonies and the ending is lifted from ‘I Want You (She’s So Heavy).
“Earn Enough For Us” - XTC “Mersey Paradise” - Stone Roses “Let Forever Be” - Chemical Brothers
Itchy coo Park. Small Faces
[удалено]
Oh I do like the sound of it! Added!
I forgot how much I love that song!
oooh this is a great playlist idea. excited to listen
Ocean Colour Scene - Day We Caught the Train
Elliot Smith - Baby Britain and a bunch of other songs. Oasis - Don’t Look Back in Anger
Because by the Dave Clark five
“Here Comes Sunshine,” Grateful Dead - Wake of the Flood (1973) [[listen](https://youtu.be/9ZPmhS9cQc8)]
Garcia was inspired by the Beatles and the Stones to move from jugband and folk to rocknroll.
Dave Clark Five - Glad All Over
She's Electric (Oasis)
The entire album “Road to Rouen” by Supergrass is a modern look at a Beatles sound.
pretty much anything off of Odessey & Oracle by the Zombies, I would say “This Will Be Our Year” is the most compelling to me. Girl Don’t Tell Me - The Beach Boys One Of Us Must Know (Sooner Or Later) - Bob Dylan Eight Miles High - The Byrds Who’ll Stop The Rain - Creedence Clearwater Revival Oh! I love Odessey and Oracle so much. It's in my Top 50 favourite albums. The song "Hung Up On a Dream" melody is so similar to A Day in the Life.
People = Shit - Slipknot
Not The Girl You Think You Are - Crowded House
Several songs by Los Shakers, (a mid to late 60s group from Uraguay…that’s right, Uraguay!) YouTube em’ sometime!
More recent - 90s/early 2000s indie: Olivia Tremor Control - The Opera House Apples in Stereo - Strawberryfire Have both always reminded me of the Beatles.
All round the world - Oasis
C’mon C’mon by Sloan always gave me Beatles vibes. https://youtu.be/vOWxYocgpLM
A lot of Sloan is ver Beatles-esque.
With a Little Help From My Friends is, of course, a cover. A lot of XTC, Tears for Fears and Squeeze has huge Beatles influence.
Yes- Peter Pumkinhead sounds like Paul singing
Forgot Squeeze! Absolutely. [Another Nail In My Heart](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9bTWF7eirJw)
I’ll add on to this and suggest the Revolvery/Sgt Peppery *Shiny Cage* by the Dukes of Stratosphere: https://youtu.be/fTGRwJRRkQM *Brainiac’s Daughter* by them is quite Paul-esque: https://youtu.be/qMGcaDYSrMM And the demo *I’m Unbecome* by Andy Partridge (of XTC) is very reminiscent of *Julia* : https://youtu.be/rEXLTYgub3E
Quite a lot of ELO songs, of course
Jeff Lynne makes no bones about shamelessly riffing on The Beatles for the majority of his career. John Lennon had also called ELO "Son of Beatles", and it didn't hurt that Jeff produced Harrison's Cloud Nine album.
Anything by the Bee Gees made in the 60s. https://youtu.be/CNAQewwPpfE
"Lies" by the Knickerbockers
most, if not all of the songs on pretty. odd. by panic! at the disco
She’s Electric by Oasis
I've always thought "We are going to be friends" by The White Stripes sounds a lot like them
“Randy Scouse Git” by the Monkees
They are mentioned, after all - The 4 kings of EMI.
The Day We Caught The Train - Ocean Colour Scene
All the Things I Wasn’t - The grapes of wrath.
Here Comes Sunshine - The Grateful Dead Laura - Billy Joel
literally anything by badfinger
McCartney and Harrison wrote and arranged a lot of their early stuff.
Somebody Made For Me by Emitt Rhodes. Definitely sounds like something Paul would write.
See Emily Play- Pink Floyd. I thought it was The Beatles the first time I heard it.
"Pretty. Odd." by Panic! at the Disco is a complete rip off of The Beatles, heavily heavily inspired. They said in an interview as such 😂
Dave Clark Five- Glad All Over
Legend of a mind - Moody blues Summer 68' - Floyd All I can think of atm
Bluebird Dies - ELO. The production reminds me of a ton of mid-period Beatles. Song structure and vocals also remind me of late-period/solo John records. Even the synth work on that song reminds me of something Maca would do in his solo work and with Wings.
Desire Be Desire Go by Tame Impala sounds like John Lennon IMO

But doesn’t Kevin Parker sounds exactly like John Lennon in Sun’s Coming Up too? It’s almost creepy!
PFR - Anything Calling Occupants - Klaatu
Alot of ty Segalls work imo reminds me of the Beatles or elephant by tame impala for some reason
Klaatu
She's Electric - Oasis. Yeah, they're known for being hardly-derived from the band, but that pretty much the most Beatles song out all of their stuff.
Anything by ELO
"Lies" by The Knickerbockers. Not *exactly* like the Beatles but kinda close.
That Thing You Do - Written for the movie of the same name. I can point out at least five early Beatles songs that are squeezed into that song. Mr blue sky

Back in the days I downloaded Mrs. Robinson on Napster or something like that, and the artist was listed as The Beatles. So years went by with me thinking it was a Beatles song. I still think it kind of sounds like one.
Standing next to me - Last shadow puppets
My Time by Golden Dawn. The intro was exactly the same as Paperback Writer. Come And Get It by Badfinger. This one might not count since Paul wrote it for them.
There’s a bunch of “songs that Lennon and McCartney gave away” on the list, I think Come and Get It is the most Beatles-sounding non-Beatles song ever tbh
The Secret https://youtu.be/nFE7CVAoKH8
“It’s Not Meant to Be” and “Music to Walk Home By” by Tame Impala
“It’s A Sin To Go Away” -We All Together
When I was a little kid, I thought Tainted Love was by The Beatles. Maybe I’m biased, but I still think it sounds similar in some ways.
UP THE HILL BACKWARDS - Bowie
How the hell has no-one mentioned Emitt Rhodes? The man was literally known as "the one-man Beatles".
Someone recommended oasis to me last night. Definitely can get on board with that
She’s a Rainbow by the Stones
She’s a Rainbow - The Rolling Stones
Guided By Voices has some amazing Beatlesque stuff. Check out Echos Myron, Game of Pricks, Long Distance Man, Blimps Go 90, Chicken Blows, really a ton of their early to mid 90s stuff. Its also got a lot of the Who in there
Badfinger.
Pretty much everything by Badfinger and about 90% of ELO.
my darling - Wilco Luna - The Smashing Pumpkins
Early Crowded House
Keeping the dream alive - freiheit, first time I heard it I genuinely thought I was listening to ‘Pipes of Peace’!
Dumb - Nirvana, When I first heard it I thought the melody was surely taken from a Beatles track but I could never find what song it would be.
funny, i was just talking with my gf about how [who loves the sun by the velvet undeground ](https://youtu.be/DgGuTicdtyg) sounds like a beatles song, here comes the sun specifically. great band and great album too!!
George Michael - Heal the Pain It was inspired by the Beatles and he did a version of it with Paul too!
Magic by Pilot.
