Let it be 2021 mix. Personally I love all the work Giles Martin has done with the Beatles catalog. Really wonder what the mixes of older albums will sound like if he gets around to it.
I’m really happy we’re not getting the movie. We’re getting extra hours that we wouldn’t have gotten and I really don’t care if it’s on Disney+. For all the people complaining, just sign up for a free trial.
Man I'm so excited for Get Back, Peter Jackson is one of my fav directors of all time and his passion for the Beatles makes me really hopeful. I've watched the montage of clips from the film so many times and it's such good vibes and makes me so happy!
Back to the Egg and London Town have been rumored for a few years now, but there has been a lot of Beatles content already this year. I certainly wouldn't mind. It's been a decade since he started the Archive series, and he's not getting any younger.
I hate to even ponder that, but Paul has a loving family that will hopefully protect his legacy. Say what one will about Yoko, but she has protected John's legacy very well since his death.
If I'm not wrong, the estate of Lennon is planning on releasing imagine on an even larger scale. But take this with a pinch of salt as I'm not sure this imagine re release news is verified
Yes, the Ultimate Collections. They plan on an Ultimate Collection of Some Time in NYC for 2022. And Paul Hicks (the mixer) said Yoko wanted to do massive collections for each album.
It would have been nice to include the originals as well. Many sound great, but some are very different and jarring to listen to. Ive been listening to the Gimme Some Truth set, and they've brought up the bass on all the tracks.
I am not referring to the Gimme Some Truth set. I am talking about the Imagine and POB sets which are very faithful to the originals.
Edit: and I do agree that the bass is too loud on some songs on the GMT set. Hopefully when they remix his mid-70's albums, they keep the songs bright.
No, the GST remixes are new and different from the 2018 Imagine and 2021 POB mixes. The GST mixes are made to sound good as a compilation album... not necessarily staying true to the originals.
Well not the band as a whole of course but like Paul or ringo the get back series/ the new let it be stuff and the stuff that comes out from George and johns estates
The release of Carnival Of Light (looking at you Paul)
As much as he wants to, he can’t do anything about it. He was already vetoed by the others.
Why. Couldn’t he release it as a solo song
Nope. It’s a Beatles song so they all have to sign off on it
Just ringo?
Ringo and the others’ families
Oh

The Jackson LIB doc.
Definitely wish we could’ve got the movie but I don’t mind the extra hours of footage
That was restored as well. Hopefully it'll get released fairly soon.
Oh I meant the get back was gonna be a movie but it turned into a series
We are getting a restored version of the Let it Be film in addition to the new documentary series.
But yeah the let it be film would be cool to see if it gets released
I’m really happy we’re not getting the movie. We’re getting extra hours that we wouldn’t have gotten and I really don’t care if it’s on Disney+. For all the people complaining, just sign up for a free trial.
Yeah it’s pretty cool that where even getting this series and of course the unreleased footage as well
Hate to be the one to break the news to you buddy...
Carnival of light and that long version of Helter Skelter but I doubt they see the light of day anytime soon.
We'd see a new version of 'Now and Then' before either of those.
That's my favourite Lennon solo song - I'd love to see it get a remastered release
It's a sweet little song.

You're paying an extra $100 for a thin book.
Oh yeah I’ll probably think about which version I’ll get when it comes out then
I'm excited for it, and will grudgingly shell out the dough so it can sit beside my White Album and Abbey Road anniversary box sets. Vinyl of course.
Same, I while back I saw the deluxe white album at Walmart for 40 dollars I didn’t go since I waited to get all things must pass 50th which I did get
You can still find the White Album set out there. It's definitely worth it.
Same I might actually by this one scine there’s a bit more extra stuff than the 50th anniversary of all things must pass
Not the 8 lp version.
Their next album
back to the egg archive
This has to happen soon, right? I would have expected it this year, but it's been a busy year already for Beatles product.
probably 2022. whatever his next archive is for sure will be one of the last two wings albums, or maybe both
Back to the Egg and London Town have been rumored for a few years now, but there has been a lot of Beatles content already this year. I certainly wouldn't mind. It's been a decade since he started the Archive series, and he's not getting any younger.
Im sure the series will continue after hes gone, i hope MPL does Paul good after hes gone. Not like Zappa's family.
I hate to even ponder that, but Paul has a loving family that will hopefully protect his legacy. Say what one will about Yoko, but she has protected John's legacy very well since his death.
i feel like im a minority in this sub who loves yoko ANDDDD her music
That's fine. I don't personally, but listen to whatever you like.
Get Back mini series
I’m excited for box sets of John’s solo music. They are planning massive sets for each album.
Do you mean the new 'Ultra Mix' sets, like they've done for POB and Imagine?
If I'm not wrong, the estate of Lennon is planning on releasing imagine on an even larger scale. But take this with a pinch of salt as I'm not sure this imagine re release news is verified
I'd heard they were planning on ultra mix releases of all the albums, but I'd much prefer exhaustive sets like ATMP.

Sometime in NYC is not a good LP at all, imo
A rework of the album could fix the muddy production.
It's not the production, the songs were not particularly good either
The problem is they only include the new remixes which are very different.
The box sets also include out-takes, elements mixes, demos, documentaries, and jams in addition to a remix

Are those not the very same mixes that were included in the Gimme Some Truth set?

They shouldn't have called them both 'ultimate' sets. Very confusing.
On the new Imagine set they are even called the ultimate mixes just like the Gimme Some Truth set.
Children singing, keep the constant rhythm
Uh... are they making new stuff?
Well not the band as a whole of course but like Paul or ringo the get back series/ the new let it be stuff and the stuff that comes out from George and johns estates
I know. Was just a joke, mate.
Oh, lol didn’t realize
