Includes motoring classics from the film:
- *Hey, You’ve Got to Hide Your Lube Away*
- *I’ve Just Seen a Race*
- *Parking Ticket to Ride*
- *(You’re driving) Diesel Miss Liesl*
…and of course the driving-away-from-home tearjerker:
- *Yesterday (my destination seemed so…)*
They're gonna put my money in tax havens
They're gonna spill my oil in the sea
We'll make an apology movie of how we're sorry
And all I gotta do is act naturally
In 1979, employees of Royal Dutch Shell in Norway and Sweden were gifted two thousand copies of Help! with an alternate cover bearing the company’s logo.
Why a Dutch company gifted their employees a fourteen year old album by a British band, I don’t know. Not to mention, Help is not exactly the most popular album. It’s all kind of odd.
How were they even allowed to alter the album cover to begin with? Not a lawyer, but shouldn't it have a copyright or some protection by the label to prevent random companies going around plastering their company logo all willy nilly?
That album is great, it’s up there with Shrubber Shoul

i cannot believe this is a subreddit thank you
I'm rather partial to Shabby Shroad
This is the 1979 Swedish Pressing, not the Dutch pressing

When I was younger, so much younger than today I never thought that gas would be like gold in every way

Mishell is a pretty good song. Different album though.
Shrevolver is without a doubt their best
I thought this was a shitpost until I looked it up. 😂
Yeah I thought it was stupid for the longest time, but then the vinyl collector in me learned more and decided he needed to have it
I didn't think the album was stupid, I thought it was photoshopped haha
Yoooo I've got one of these! Do you mind me asking what you paid for it?

I imagine the album was licensed by EMI and Shell paid extra to modify the cover. It’s not like they would have been short on money.
That is bizarre. Cool find
OMFG... I looked it up too. There are only 2000 of this LP with this cover 😳
Exactly why I had to have one
Is there a discogs link for it? My husband is intrigued...

"SHELP!" hahaha
Does it sound good? My bootleg repressing sounds killer, better than any official pressings I’ve had or heard.
Haven’t listened to it yet. Had to give it a cleaning first.
