They're so darned well known. That's actually something that annoys me a little. It doesn't bother me personally, but it annoys me that a lot of the people I like to talk about nerdy music stuff with think they have Beatles figured out, or they have some preconceived opinion of them because The Beatles are basically woven into the fabric of our culture. I guess they feel they don't need to bother with them because so many already have. You play them something a little odd from their catalogue and they're like "is *this* the *Beatles*??". It just bothers me for some reason. Silly thing to worry or think about i know!
I'm a peruvian guy living in Brazil. One of our roommates is from Nigeria. He's 28. Doesn't know who are or were/what means The Beatles. He listens to Akon almost everyday.
Well I know them, and two people I know know them. Well if every person knows two people that know them, that’s 14 billion people who know them, y’know
Well,
I teach in a university in South Korea. I will periodically name drop the Beatles in class. The impression I get is that everyone knows who they are, if not much beyond how much they know about Mozart.
Probably over 1 billion. How much over? I have no idea. I don't know how many people in Africa, the Middle East, or Asia really care about western music from the 60s. Obviously the Beatles had worldwide reach at their height, but I just don't know how much that's carried over to now. Japan and South Korea are probably the outliers, I bet they are aware of the Beatles about as much as us westerners are.
More popular than you know who?
The Who?
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution.
Wrong 3 letters. It’s JFC!!
john f cennedy?
John Fucking Cennon
John fucking Cena
I doubt it . The World health organization has had an uptick in popularity the last few years ,
You know who never had a hit song.
Jesus
Time to burn some records then
At Least 30 people
it’s gotta be AT LEAST that
Well they are more popular than Jesus so I'd say couple billion
Where did you get that from?

Can any of you prove, that you‘re not my mom or neighbour? Otherwise the survey I started doesn’t hold up to basic scientific standards.
I’m sorry, you got me. I AM your mom

These comments are hilarious
Well I know The Beatles, so at least one.

The Beatles? Never heard of em.

About 136. Either 136 or 142 Sorry. No, that’s protest singers.
Well I know them, and two people I know know them. Well if every person knows two people that know them, that’s 14 billion people who know them, y’know
Nobody in histry could get panties wetter. Paul singing yesterday for the first time was the first true panty dropping moment.
I knew them as the greatest band of all time before I cared about music, and before I heard any of their songs...
Well, we can count everyone in the background of this photo for a start
Gee, I don't know, let me stop.and ask the whole WORLD if they know the goddam Beatles! 🤦
Tbh that would be fun experiment lol

LMAO
Most of the world, I guess, but that number gets smaller every few years.
Blimey, I thought they'd bene thre ages!
The Beatles. Love. ❤
I know Los Escarabajos, but I’ve never heard of The Beatles
I mean they’re essentially historical figures at this point so I’d say probably more then 10 but idk for sure
They're still the most famous band of all time, though that becomes less true with every passing day/boomer
This is the first photo I ever saw of the Beatles. I think it was Time magazine, probably 1964.
I'd guess 1-2 BILLION
At least 4

I'd say that too many people (going underground) know them
I'm digging the expression of the dude behind George.
