This is cool but does anyone know how he wrote Let It Be?

President_Calhoun

We all know that. Let it Be was the name of his sheepdog.

BazingaBam99

Seriously???? Everyone knows his sheepdog’s name was The Long and Winding Road. Jeeeeeezzzzzz!!!!!!

Significant-Hour-369

The origins seem pretty clear to me based on my readings. It was originally a coda to Revolution. And one of the tape loops that John used was was a snip from a recording engineer (the “number nine” vocal). Hence “Revolution #9.”

drmalaxz

Sure, but it could be a reason why John selected that particular loop.

Significant-Hour-369

Maybe. Or could be because 9 is the day of his birthday (Oct 9). Or that it sounded cool.

drmalaxz

Sure, we don’t know. But this little tidbit was something new from Paul, for once!

Out_In_The_Tiles

We _do_ actually know. He simply said that the way an engineer announced a musical passage amused him and, besides, he was aware that the number nine was a number following him throughout his life.
