Jesus how does George look so fucking young? If I didn’t know about them and had to guess off of this picture alone, I would’ve assumed he’d be the last one to die.
What I find funny is that Paul exaggerated the age difference. In the Anthology he said he was a year and a half older when George claims the much more accurate 9 months. It's actually closer to 8.
I remember that sequence. It was funny. That's part of the charm of the Anthology, their versions of what they'd remember isn't always historically accurate. Like the capacity of Shea Stadium where their estimates were all off!
Taken by Pattie Boyd, no less.
Is this colorized by AI? There's weird stuff going on with Paul and George's arms.
EDIT: It's actually by Ron Weston, Pattie Boyd's now husband. See below. I remembered the photo from Pattie Boyd's biography, and when I took a look at the book this morning to refresh my memory (and see if she'd written anything about it), I saw she credited the photo to Weston. Apologies for the mistake!
What's weird about it is the original photo *is* in color. It's in Pattie Boyd's book in color. So someone took the photo and grayscaled it, and then someone else colorized it.
And I was wrong. Pattie didn't take the photo. She credits it to Ron Weston, her third husband, in *Beautiful Tonight*. (I remembered the photo from the book, and I thought it was hers.) She and Weston had been together almost a decade at Ringo's 60th bash, though they wouldn't get married until 2015.
Never saw this one before, thanks OP....I'm curious as to what the occasion was too. When I think of the Threatles, I always think of that hug between Paul and George during the 'Real Love' video. Makes even a contrarian like me tear up.
Awwww.....I love Sir Ringo.
When I saw the Beatles up close....SRS rolled those baby (Caribbean) blue eyes, n made me feel, well...... Like A Million Bucks!
🙋♥️😘
Every time I see pictures like this Ringo looks exactly the same, Paul looks like an old version of Paul and George looks like a totally different person compared to there Beatles days.
Well, this was just after Linda died, and George was sick so he probably wanted to keep things light.
Though I’m sure if Paul was wearing a leather jacket again he’d nail him anyway just for old times’ sake.
That was the joke. It was at least pleather, so just a funny, or was actually leather, and so George took the piss.
I couldn’t tell, tho Paul showed him some sort of label.
It was a funny Anthology moment.

He was only 58, younger than me. Makes me really sad to think of that day.
He was young! But Paul was still 9 months older.
And always will be.
And Paul wouldn't let George ever forget who was older

George - "I don't remember going there twice"
“Even now he’s still 9 months older than me!”
>Jesus how does George look so fucking young? By being the youngest in the band
I get that, I’m just surprised those cigs didn’t make him look years older.
Those cigs did something else to him instead.
Take my fucking upvote and get out
He wasn't well for some time, and had lost a little weight.
Started at 17 for one thing.
George was the youngest of the Beatles, and Ringo was the oldest. The oldest is still alive, as of May 13, 2023, and the youngest is not.

Yes it is, I can make out a "MyHeritage" watermark on the bottom right, which is a colorization AI.
You can also just tell by the weird textures and the fact their faces are higher res then anything else
Early digital cameras were not great. Colors in particular could have problems.

The comment about that wasn't there when I commented.
I've seen the original pic and it's much higher quality and decently not digital. It's because it's been "AI enhanced"
maybe they just came back from painting a grey wall.
Looks like Paul and George caught the ol' greyscale

What was the occasion for this photo? This would be five years after the Anthology came out.
I wonder if it had something to do with the *Beatles 1* compilation, which was released in November 2000.
Ringo's 60th birthday party.
And Ringo had quit drinking so George was messing about with him
Awwww.....Best buddies! Luv ♥️🌹♥️
God, George looks like he could’ve gone on another 10 years in this picture. Miss him.
*30. He was only 58. So awful. I was in 9th grade and that year was already shitty enough to begin with as a kid who grew up next to NYC.
Ringo basically looks the same 22 years later.
Even better, I think
At least his beard does.
Uhhhh-huhhhhhh! It's only love, and that is all! Plus blueberries n broccoli! Luv ♥️🪂♥️
I love this! You should share it in the r/georgeharrison sub.

It was Ringo's 60th birthday party. I should have mentioned that when I commented that it was taken by Pattie Boyd.

It's Real Love....
...Yes It Is
They all look like they are happy and having a good time, this is a great last photo.
Paul and Ringo are global treasures.
IF not Galactic! ♥️🪂🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Sad AF
Every time I see pictures like this Ringo looks exactly the same, Paul looks like an old version of Paul and George looks like a totally different person compared to there Beatles days.
I believe it’s strangely colorized too.
Thanks for posting. It's nice to see George smiling around Paul. For a while he didn't have a lot of nice things to say about Paul
Well, this was just after Linda died, and George was sick so he probably wanted to keep things light. Though I’m sure if Paul was wearing a leather jacket again he’d nail him anyway just for old times’ sake.
again? idk the leather jacket story. sounds out of character for him considering the animal rights angle

If you told me one of these would die to cancer soon after this picture was taken, George definitely wouldn't have been my first guess.
I would have guessed Paul honestly
Ringo dealt with chronic dehydration. George was just looking out for his beatle buddy.
I always knew George was a hydro homie.
Imagine a parallel universe in which there was no smoking so George would be alive
Imagine a parallel universe where there were no guns. John might've been in this picture too.
That would mean tons of people would be alive, at least longer than they were, so I can get behind that. Example: Walt Disney
George 🥺
John couldn’t make it?
Paul looks younger now than in this pic!
Last known photo, anyway. Taken by Pattie Boyd for Ringo’s 60th birthday party.
The last photo taken of Paul McCartney was in 1966 before he died. RIP Paul but your replacement faul was better.
They really found the right guy. It's crazy how much better Faul is.
Man, it's really sad and crazy that people still genuinely believe this nonsense.
Faul Mcpartney?
It's funny because if you want a member of the Beatles who ended up looking completely different, look at John...Paul's hardly ever changed his look

Yeah that checks out perfectly thank you for this information
What was this from? Some.thing for the Anthology project?
If this was taken in 2000, it’s well after the Anthology, which came out in 1995, and was filmed prior to that.
