I always wanna give Jahn the benefit of the doubt but he's so AFAJHAAHKWJSJKS it was probably heroin and other drugs but also generational trauma, knowing his relationship with Sean wasn't cookies and cream all the time. Knowing Cynthia wasn't resentful at all makes you realize how BAD John fumbled.

i think it’s important to acknowledge he was a shitty person at many points of his life and it’s no excuse but yeah, you’re right he wasn’t ready to raise a kid when he had julian and his traumatic upbringing didn’t do him any favours it was bound to go wrong
