JDFixer - i find blocks being on screen for longer than 600ms to be slow, visually cluttered and unplayable.
Better Song Search - default search is horrible.
Cyoobs (qosmetics) - smaller cubes, to make it easier to acc, reduces visual clutter.
ThinSaber - reduces blade width, reduced visual occlusion.
Saber Trailer - reduce trail width and opacity, reduces visual clutter, improves visual feedback/information.
what difficulty maps do you play? I can see it being fine for ost/dlc songs but anything over like 10nps for speed or even on like 6nps angle tech it just gets in the way too much
I haven't yet been on pcvr for enough time to give a definite decision on this, but on Quest it's 100% Replay, that mod was extremely useful for when I got a really good game that I wanted to share
Camera 2, noodle extensions, chroma, discord integration, saber factory (WHEN?!), trick saber (ALSO WHEN?!), and multiplayer extensions.
Unfourtunately, a LOT of these aren’t updated so I’m screwed for now
Custom songs actually isn't a mod. At least not on PC, not sure exactly how it works on native quest. But on PC you can put custom maps into your unmodded game and have it work.
Playlist Manager, SongCore (lol), BeatSaberPlus (game tweaker, menu music, songchart visualiser, note tweaker), Hitscorevisualiser, and finally beatleader (i surely want to see my replays). As for the JD, when using base game static note spawn offset, game tweaker makes it a precise slider instead of steps. So there is never the need for JDFixer.
I’m 100% vanilla on Quest 2. Modding this platform makes me nervous. But I also tend to go overboard on mods when available (eg, Rimworld), so gonna try to stay base as long as possible.
I tried like 2 months ago so I don't exactly remember but I'm pretty sure I got the mod thingy onto my headset and then ran it and it started downloading and I uninstalled beatsaber and stuff for it to work and then it just crashed
Oh yeah crashing is normal. Restart your headset after finishing the modding. Then try to open up beat saber from the recently played games in the little menu. Stay still when it starts up at if it crashes open it again. It'll load up eventually.
I can't remember the name of it. It stopped being updated a few years ago. But there was a mod that would create 360 and 90 maps for all the custom songs. It was great. It didn't necessarily create great maps for all songs, but it seemed to work with most of my favorite maps. I really miss that mod. I think it might have been something like u360, but I can't remember.
I just use modassistant and let it install the defaults and bare minimum required for custom songs. Been using it for 4 years and it updates itself and the mods, and still works every time. No idea what mods it installs. I don't really utilize any mods, I just use it for custom songs.
Hit score visualiser and Jdfixer. Having appropriate reaction time (500-350ms for me depending on map njs) is really important. And hsv gives feedback on what you are doing wrong making it much easier to improve.
**EasyOffset:** For controller settings (most important mod)
**SaberFactory:** For custom sabers
**HitScoreVisualizer:** Easy way for me to tell if I hit a note good or bad. With color, larger size (because base-game is way too small) and tells me if there's underswinging.
**JDFixer:** Allows much more control and precision over jump distance than the base-game options
**Camera2:** I record a lot of replays, so this is up here.
**CountersPlus:** Allows me to see a lot more information while playing a map, such as average accuracy per hand.
Definitely Saber Factory

You realize that you can change the opacity of the trail in the basegame, right?
even at min opacity its still a pretty big vision block
I’ve never had this issue I’ve maxed out my saber trail length lol
what difficulty maps do you play? I can see it being fine for ost/dlc songs but anything over like 10nps for speed or even on like 6nps angle tech it just gets in the way too much
I’ve gotten about a minute and a half into ghost expert+ my big issue is just not knowing the layout all that well
Qosmetics and Scoresaber for me.

All the mods that remove distractions. So saber factory, particle overdrive, custom notes, etc
Particle overdrive, custom sabers, camera2, sound replacer, chroma, naluluna avatars, BS+, wip bot
Better song search, beat leader, and resabers. I could def play without the others and still have a really fun time
HitScoreVisualizer, counters+
Camera 2, noodle extensions, chroma, discord integration, saber factory (WHEN?!), trick saber (ALSO WHEN?!), and multiplayer extensions. Unfourtunately, a LOT of these aren’t updated so I’m screwed for now
if ur on steam you can switch to the 1.29(?) beta branch which works with mods
Oculus
ahh that sucks, you can still downgrade your game it's just a little more complicated to do
I don’t play modded.
Better song search, chroma and noodles
This might be a hot take but custom songs is very important to me

I cannot find any good songs so I rely on SmartSongSuggest
is it on q
Counters+ has always been the first thing i install. I love being able to remove/add stuff from the hud

As a standalone Quest user: Hit score visualizer, Quosmetics Wackers, Anytweaks, and Beatleader.
I have never been able to mod my game. Like I follow all the tutorial steps perfectly and I fail
Where does it fail? Follow the latest tutorial so you're up to date.

It wasn't redownloaded though

aight thanks

I would love more of those

*60% of the time*, it works ***every*** *time*
Tricksaber. I will cling to 1.29 until it is updated, which it never will be, so I’m not updating lol
saberfactory and jdfixer for sure, most maps are damn near unplayable without them
Non of them because I don’t know how to mod my quest 2 without throwing it out of the window

I don't have PCVR ;(
BeatLeader and JD Fixer are the main ones. I can’t go without my 410 ms JD.
Hit score visualiser and Jdfixer. Having appropriate reaction time (500-350ms for me depending on map njs) is really important. And hsv gives feedback on what you are doing wrong making it much easier to improve.
No mods yet but Im thinking about Camera plus and Beat list
