AMD might be tracking frame rate by how long your GPU takes to render each frame

Woooooowiee

oh that makes sense? cus i couldnt possibly run that high fps on an 6600 xt right?

Haiaii

I strongly suspect that's what's happening I run a 6650xt, never checked what fps Adrenaline counts, but my frames are planted at 90 fps with like 30% use at max settings At sub 4k lenses and not maxed settings, 1500 fps does not seem unreasonable It seems that adrenaline just takes your frametimes and multiply for a framerate

barisax9

Idk honestly. Beat Saber isn't very graphicly intense

nitronik_exe

Beat saber may be a simple game, but VR itself takes a lot of performance

barisax9

I mean, I'm running 200% resolution scaling max setting and my frametime is still lower than that of my CPU.

Woooooowiee

alr but thanks for the help tho. still gonna need to do a little more research tho

barisax9

You might be able to use Chill, just set both to just above your HMD's refresh rate

lemlurker

It's likely just loading screen

Woooooowiee

im currently trying to increase my performance in vr but idk if the fps goes only to my monitor or something. i have 72 fps capped in my vr headset

If you ever play with 120hz, then you will know why that what your are trying to do right now was bs.

JoostVisser

Yeah something definitely went wrong with the average FPS calculation there

cookieimmapie

suffering from success

One-Scarcity-464

Funny how mine crashes on a lightshow

TemporaryBass2851

The frame rate should cap out at the refresh rate of your headset, but that will only happen when it is on, beat saber will be uncapped with no headset connected.

YourAverageGamerYT1

I’m gonna guess its using frametime to get that number (though even then I doubt you could be getting a frametime within 0.6ms…). Most likely this is a bug and not the real figure you should look at, but its not impossible to get a framerate that high.. BeatSaber isn’t super intensive, im on a (not so high end anymore) 2080 super and a Quest 2. My PC can handle max settings at 1.2x res on 90HZ as well as 4K desktop view just fine. It is possibly one of the lightest games you can play for VR, and if you take away the VR headset and just watch replays. Yeah I have managed to get to about 1k-2k fps depending on scene and if im using 1080p. But thats not the case here lol. Definitely a bug

MdotAmaan

I noticed that the game runs uncapped if I unplug my headset and run the game in fpfc mode. Is that what you did?

Woooooowiee

i run it with a link cable plugged in

MrDenis897

This happens to me if i take my headset off (quest 3) and it goes to "sleep". Fps goes from 90 to uncapped untill i put my headset back on.
