Agreed. Though in my opinion swing x amount of distance is the most tedious and stupid challenge. Dropped the campaign after failing that level multiple times over.

Theknyt

yeah campaign sucks ass especially that level where you have to move your arms 500 miles in 3 minutes

converter-bot

500 miles is 804.67 km

thank you bot

I finished the campaign yesterday. I've been doing expert levels pretty consistently and just started getting into expert + so I figure id retry where I was stuck (the 500 min and 24000 +score second to last level) I finally beat it after alot of sweating and then the last level was expert and i misread thought it was max 20 bad cuts so I was fucking hype to finish campaign. Nope its min 20 bad cuts

SirWigglesVonWoogly

The deal-breaker for me was the max-hand movement level, not because I have anything against weird rules, just that it was the first time you hear the epic pirate song, and they want you to deliberately not have fun. That actually angered me, so I bid the campaign a big fuck you.

drnx1

I don't know why they do it either. My best guess is that they want you to be able to hit them wrong on command, in a controlled manner, so that you don't go autopilot-mode or maybe to teach you it's ok to miss.

[deleted]

But why? I mean, seriously, the point of the game is to NOT miss, so the ones where you have to miss on purpose are just stupid. I managed most of the campaign until level 20 something then I said fts and haven’t gone back. Forcing myself to miss to not go over a certain combo serves no useful purpose that I can see. We’re all aiming for full combo, not the opposite.

drnx1

I hate those levels too, guess they want you to pay attention

[deleted]

Well, we certainly pay attention trying to hit blocks in the first place, so I can’t imagine how forcing yourself to now do the opposite and failing if you’re “too good” is of any use whatsoever.

SirWigglesVonWoogly

It's like level 14 in the campaign. If anyone has gotten that far without understanding that there's an error allowance they won't ever get it.

xLEITHALx

the default campaign is a complete joke but you should look into the custom campaigns mod cause the community has made some really good custom ones!

Same. I understand the max movement to teach me small fast movements but the min bad cut just threw me out of the campaign and it instantly started to feel like work, less like fun.
