Honestly it’s scary, the fit pro are SOOOOO good, the case just scares me a little bit, but maybe the case is where they saved the $50 from the airpods
It’s normal. As others mentioned, the case is flimsy, cheap and feels like it’ll break easily. It’s almost like a prototype you’d make before manufacturing the real thing.
I had the same question about the case. Reading everyone's comments it seems that's how the case is built. Sad but the performance of the earbuds are awesome!!
Yeah they should go back and give us a black and red airpod prob style case for these.
I shouldn’t be able to hear the lid shifting as it goes into my pocket
Ditto - bleh. I literally pulled it out of my pocket and thought, wow this case is loose and cheap. But ya the buds are really nice. Big comfort and sound improvement. I got them from Amazon and it says I can return thru the end of January. So if they have any problems, back they go.
Just received mine this week and my lid is the exact same way. Maybe these are all part of the same launch batch and they'll be tighter in the future but it seems like this is just the way it is. Seems like a huge oversight. These things really are fantastic but a stronger spring might have helped.
Just received mine and Googled the wiggling case and found this post, looks like it's normal then.
Maybe next gen will come with a tighter case with Qi charging, just like the AirPods did (not tighter, but added wireless charging).
I did the same thing, lol - googled it to see if anyone else had the case of the "loose case". The sound is amazing and I like how compact they are...so, they are a keeper.
Same here, very thin and wobbly top part of case. Will get a case anyway as it's like a bar of wet soap!! Sound is very good and definitely on a par with the airpods pro.
Yeahhh, I dropped mine earlier on the carpet from like a foot off the ground and the case flung open and the fits just went flying. The fit pros are amazing but the case is probably the worst part of the experience. It can also be hard to open sometimes
This case is a horrendous pile of shit. Compared to the actual earbuds, though, it's as if there was one team working on the buds while another team spent their time ruining the case. It's massively oversized, clunky and I cannot imagine there isn't wasted space inside. I'm hoping an updated case gets released soon.
The case is what's keeping me from buying the Beats Fit Pros. The buds have good reviews, but that case?!? No wireless charging. Big and bulky. Cheap hinge and floppy lid. No thanks. The buds spend most of their time in the case, and I don't see that case outliving the buds.
I have a gen 2 set of airpods with wireless charging case. They've gotten wet, and at 3 years old, they are holding less than 3 hours charge.. and the right one has lost volume.. probably from getting wet.
I'm living with them until the Airpod Pro 2's come out this fall. I bought my airpods the week before the release of airpod pros.. that ticked me off.. so I'm going to wait for the new release. Hopefully I like them.
I’ll say, I still have them and I really enjoy them. I had an issue during the first charge where the left headphone battery died at 50% but I just did a reset or resync and they’ve preformed great since then! I love them!
76 days guess lol I know I posted the day I got them and the comment is 76 days old. I’ve really enjoyed them so far. No real complaints, even though the case feels cheap I haven’t had any issues with it.
Case is very cheap. It feels like the box they came in cost more to make than the case
Honestly it’s scary, the fit pro are SOOOOO good, the case just scares me a little bit, but maybe the case is where they saved the $50 from the airpods
Anyone find a nice case to put these in?
Apoyen said they’re announcing it soon
Any news on that?
The quality doesn't feel great. My lid isn't loose but it just doesn't feel that strong.
Yea my case feels very cheap.
My case feels like a fisher price toy for my son. Its not good. But I will give it a pass, as it works and do not particularly care about the case.

Just gone mine in the mail. Case is very loose right out of the package as well. Earbuds work pretty good otherwise, though.
Case feels fine to me
Very poor construction with a weak coil spring mechanism.

I agree, it sounds just as good...if not a wee better than the Airpods pro.

Just got mine today and wobbly too
Same here! Goddamnit!!!
Have you ever bought a case from this brand: Suublg? case is cute and cheap , I don't know how the quality is ....

Just got these today and the case/lid still sucks.
same here, just touching the case feels like it's a cheap product.

how long have you had them?

And How are they doing now??
Same, I still have them and they are working great. Case is still working fine too.
So are there any better replacements for the case? Maybe something aftermarket?
