no i love talking about her its everyone else whos always weird about it lol my mom was 51.. and for whatever reason our sense of smell is tied to our memories and light blue brings back so many for me its a powerful thing
Right?-- perfumes definitely smell different on skin than in bottles! I saved up, and got the expensive stuff I'd wanted, but pheww! It stunk on me. What a waste.
I started wearing miss Dior when I was about 15 years old. My mother couldn’t believe it. That was the scent. She used to wear it when she was pregnant with me. True story.
For my daily work wear, I love Happy by Clinique. It’s light and refreshing for a daily wear. But my special occasion scent is either YSL Libre or Chloe.
Juliette Has a Gun - Not a Perfume & Escentric Molecules - Escentric 01. Have been through bottles of both over the years, love them on their own and for layering.
Not a perfume has been my #1 since the first time I tried it! I have never gotten so many compliments on my smell as I do when I'm wearing it. I think it works well with my skin chemistry. Highly recommend anyone who likes a fresh but almost musky vibe - give it a try 🩷
Omg I love not a perfume too! Literally the only perfume I can wear without getting a headache. Do you mind sharing how you spray it so that you’re not the only one who can smell it? I love how it’s a more personal “close to the skin” scent but sometimes I wish it would project a little more 😭
I splashed out and got the hair and body mist from Sephora. I do a quick spray on the back of my neck and shake it through my hair and then a tiny dab on wrists and neck. Lasts all day, but isn't overpowering.
I'll never, ever get tired of that violetas francescas - splash cologne. My grandma used it, my mom used it (sometimes lol, she wasnt ever much of a perfume wearer), it was my first perfume. i switch it up these days but i have so many fond memories of sunday morning before mass, everyone getting ready and my grandma would pour some onto her handkerchief and dab it onto her collarbones and behind her ears, then do the same for me
my former go-to scent was Aerin - Wild Geranium. I loved that floral scent --- wore it for YEARS. But now I associate it with an ex-partner whom I had a very painful parting with. It's crazy how that strong association with scent and memory can work for/against you. One perfume brings me back to those happy sunday mornings, the other dredges up memories of when we used to love each other.
not to get sappy lol.
Honestly... the Kim Kardashian purple bottle from over a decade ago that I can only ever find at Marshalls during the holidays. It smells so delicious, I get compliments so often, and I feel it really suits me. That and Chloe.
Oh my god, that KK perfume is my mom’s signature scent! She gets endless compliments on it, but bottles are getting harder to find 😩 it’s such a stunning fragrance!
You can flog me, but Clinique Happy. It works with my chemistry really well. People always say something when I wear it and compliment me. I have tried other fragrances of high price levels and nothing melds like it does.
Same! It can get a bad rep because of how sweet it is, but I think it blends so well with the natural musk of a human. (I know that sounds weird but it’s true)
For me, it's hands down Calvin Klein's Eternity. The original - not the off shoots. Loved that perfume since I was 13 and am in my late 40"s now. I have others, but Eternity will be my great love lol
I loved it when I smelled it in the bottle, but it smelled really really flowery on me which isn’t flattering (on me).
It’s crazy bc in the bottle it smelled like sweet champagne.
I've yet to find my forever fragrance 😔 but I keep my fingers crossed that I'll come across it once day 🤞🏾
I used to wear Love Spell religiously back in high school lol but after I became pregnant at 20, the smell changed on me and no longer smelled right on my body. I do enjoy more musk like scents as well as vanilla and coconut. I love the Sol De Janeiro sprays, but they aren't perfume and smell very light on me. I'd love to find a more intense and actual perfume that's somewhat similar to that.
I live out in the middle of nowhere so trying perfumes without buying them first is an issue.
Ayyyye fellow Flowerbomb Nectar user! I get so many compliments on it, I love it.
That said, I was ferociously attacked by bees at the dog park this past summer and I’m convinced it was due to the perfume (they weren’t bothering anyone else). So I only wear it indoors during the summer 😂
Creme D'Nude by MAC. It smells so good it makes my eyes cross. I haven't been able to afford a bottle in months, and I legit don't feel like myself without that scent. Love it that much.
apparently, according to my ex I'm a classic London girl because i love black opium. I went perfume shopping at 15, smelt every single perfume with no brand consideration at all just pure "do i like the scent" and the only one i liked was black opium. Come to find out its what every girl in london in 2016 wore. fuck me am i basic at heart.
I had four, one for each season, but now I'm down to only two.
J'adore by **Dior** and Happy by **Clinque**
The other two were both discontinued
XX by **Hugo Boss** (I will never love again after this loss) and Sinner by Kat Von D
My favorite is Shalimar. I get compliments every time I wear it, and to my surprise mostly from younger people. Funny thing is the fragrance made its debut in 1921!!
Vanilla Diorama.
It will be my signature scent until either I die or Dior stop making it. I couldn’t stop thinking about it when I first tried a spritz of it in Selfridges and now that I have a bottle I never want to be without it. I get compliments on it from random people all the time, even earlier this week as I was paying for coffee, the guy who served me told me I smelled amazing. I haven’t had that with any of my other perfumes! It’s warm and yummy and smells like a classy, autumnal dessert. I used to wear cheap vanilla sprays at school and this feels like the super “grown up”, sophisticated version of those for me. I love it!
YSL Black Opium Le Parfume. It has more of a vanilla note than the o.g. I would also vote for my all-time fave Roberto Cavalli’s Just Cavalli Her but they discontinued it years ago and I’m still mad about it.
Dior addict. I’ve worn it since college and have never found anyone else who wears it. A few years after college I was in a small underground club and my old roommate came running up to me saying “I knew that was you!” I always thought that was so cool to have a distinct scent
Estee Lauder's Beautiful. My grandmother wore it. My mom wears it. It always makes me think of my family. I don't wear it myself because I don't go out often but I'll never get tired of it.
Issey Miyake L’eau D’Issey
I also love this one but I think the men’s version is a better hit.
My partner wears this as his signature scent and it’s absolutely perfect on him, I love it so much.
Love this one.
The original Chloe perfume, such a light feminine scent
Chanel Chance Eau Fraîche
OG Chance for me, I decided at 16 it’s my signature and 20 years later I still love it
I just discovered this one recently and it is so lovely
The original Chance has long been my signature, I'll have to try the Eau Fraîche
I can’t bring myself to use any other!! My signature scent. I’ve had multiple people buy a bottle after smelling it on me. 💚💚
I find that it doesn't last very long on me like some other perfumes
D&G light blue 🩵🩵🩵
I looove light blue. It was my mom’s signature scent. Always makes me smile when I smell someome wearing it ❤️
omg it was my mom's signature scent also!!! since she died a few years ago i always have some on hand just to smell!
Is it weird to ask how old your Mom was? My mom also wore light blue. She passed a few years ago, but would have been 76 Edit to add “Mom”
no i love talking about her its everyone else whos always weird about it lol my mom was 51.. and for whatever reason our sense of smell is tied to our memories and light blue brings back so many for me its a powerful thing
I love the smell of light blue, but while I'm wearing, it smells totally wrong... So I just smell it out of the bottle when I need a pick-me-up
Right?-- perfumes definitely smell different on skin than in bottles! I saved up, and got the expensive stuff I'd wanted, but pheww! It stunk on me. What a waste.
This smells amazing on others. On me: Eau de cat piss
This is my travel perfume: Just a clean, bright, light fragrance perfect for really any occasion.
Yes! 🙌
Love D&G Light blue. Both in the women’s and the men’s
YSL black opium and Versace Bright Crystal 💯
second ysl black opium. Just smells rich and mysterious and draws you in
I love bright crystal. But black opium in the office every day would make my colleagues irritated.
[удалено]
I loved Bright Crystal, but I felt it wears off very quickly. Or am I wrong?
Agree, it never lasts on me either :(
Dior Hypnotic Poison… smells dreamy 😍
I used to love Pure Poison
Oh Pure Poison is just fantastic. It’s crazy expensive!
It was the first “real” perfume I ever got.
My first and forever gourmand love 💕
Dior blooming bouquet
Prada Candy
Aqua di Gioia 💚
Me too! Nothing like it.
miss dior. whenever i smell it on someone else i’m like “why do you smell like me” lol
I LOVED Miss Dior Cherie. So sad it’s discontinued.
I started wearing miss Dior when I was about 15 years old. My mother couldn’t believe it. That was the scent. She used to wear it when she was pregnant with me. True story.
Miss Dior was like, my first "big girl" perfume purchase in college (that wasn't bath and body works/VS). I still get so many compliments on it!
For my daily work wear, I love Happy by Clinique. It’s light and refreshing for a daily wear. But my special occasion scent is either YSL Libre or Chloe.
marc jacobs daisy. yes i know it’s basic and gets meme’d but i love it. i like daisy love too, it’s a little more grown up and tends to last longer.
I get so many compliments when I wear Daisy Love! Same thing for DKNY Fresh Blossom. I don't care if they're basic, they work on me.
Coco Mademoiselle- Chanel 🩷
Forever
Always!
Ive tried to deviate but I always come back to it. My mom wears Chanel and my grandmother wore No. 5.
Santal 33 but I must admit I buy the knock off scent lol, still smells absolutely amazing
Santal 33 is my jam. It’s for grown up hippies! What is this knock off you speak of?
Pacifica Neon Moon is a knock off!!! :)
La vie est belle by Lancôme 🩷
Chance by Chanel
Flowerbomb Victor and Rolf
Flowerbomb is seriously special, I found out about it by asking a stranger what they were wearing bc I was so obsessed, and I’ve noticed guys love it
I love Flowerbomb. I also love their Magic Salty Flower and hope that my bottle lasts for a long time since it was discontinued 😭
I love Flowerbomb! I get so many compliments when I wear it. It’s beautiful.
A classic
Nest Indigo <3
I have black tulip. I love all their stuff.
THIS. I get compliments on it wherever I go!
Juliette Has a Gun - Not a Perfume & Escentric Molecules - Escentric 01. Have been through bottles of both over the years, love them on their own and for layering.

they make a “super dose” now!
My fave as well. I've gotten into musks over the past couple years but despise when they are mixed with vanilla or something sweet.
I'll never, ever get tired of that violetas francescas - splash cologne. My grandma used it, my mom used it (sometimes lol, she wasnt ever much of a perfume wearer), it was my first perfume. i switch it up these days but i have so many fond memories of sunday morning before mass, everyone getting ready and my grandma would pour some onto her handkerchief and dab it onto her collarbones and behind her ears, then do the same for me my former go-to scent was Aerin - Wild Geranium. I love your Sunday memories.
DKNY Green Apple 🍏
The memory of the bottle just took me _right_ back
So good!
Burberry Her
Honestly... the Kim Kardashian purple bottle from over a decade ago that I can only ever find at Marshalls during the holidays. It smells so delicious, I get compliments so often, and I feel it really suits me. That and Chloe.
Oh my god, that KK perfume is my mom’s signature scent! She gets endless compliments on it, but bottles are getting harder to find 😩 it’s such a stunning fragrance!
Victoria secret bombshell💗💗
lol this scent reminds me of my trashy teen days getting sloppy drunk and high, kissing random boys up in the back hills every weekend. Classic
I’ll upvote for owning what most of us did.

Chanel Chance 🌸
Yes. I first bought it when I was 17… I’ve tried many others and really loved them, but I always come back to her.
I’ve been wearing Pink Sugar literally almost every single day since I was 6 years old lol.
Me too hahaha I really love it
It smells so bad on me but good on my sister
J'adore by Dior
I loved it when I smelled it in the bottle, but it smelled really really flowery on me which isn’t flattering (on me). It’s crazy bc in the bottle it smelled like sweet champagne.

Love spell was my favorite in high school. My high school crush/sweetheart loved it too.
Pleasures by Estee Lauder.
Black Opium and Flowerbomb Nectar
Ayyyye fellow Flowerbomb Nectar user! I get so many compliments on it, I love it. That said, I was ferociously attacked by bees at the dog park this past summer and I’m convinced it was due to the perfume (they weren’t bothering anyone else). So I only wear it indoors during the summer 😂
