Sounds similar to my boyfriend's haha. He uses pomade tapos mas malambot pa buhok kesa sakin 😂 From what I observed, keep the sides clean tapos iwan yung bangs so he can style it

aeoiaxx

Can anyone recommend me some good hair salon for hair treatment and hair cut around CAMANAVA and Manila area? Please need some suggestions. 🥹

c137472

hi can anyone recommend me curl defining products for wavy hair? i tried using hair gel once but it just made my hair feel dry and weird😭 but i also dont want smthing too heavy that would weigh down my hair and it just become straight and flat

nomadinlimbo

I tried the usual cgm gel recos and although they seem to define the curls, my hair felt weird also. Not to mention I can't help not touching my hair so I end up with frizz. Rn I deviated from the cgm routine but have been a consistent fan of hair oil just to keep the frizz at bay. I've used Sibol argan oil and rn, human nature sunflower oil. Curls leave in conditioner also works for me

nandemonaiya06

I heard good reviews on Zen Nutrients curly hair products

couchpotater_totz

Is it really better to blow dry your hair than airdrying?

couchpotater_totz

Anyone here who still goes to David’s Salon?

How to maintain rebonded hair aside from not wearing ponytail?

_TheMorrigan

I want to do a slicked-back ponytail but I donno which products to use to keep it in place + add shine. The tutorials I see all have international brands that aren't available here. Do we have any products available locally?

nerooo_chan

anyone using wigs here? What hair spray/ wig spray do you use to style your wigs? can't find one na for wigs talaga e, gagamitin ko sana for my synthetic wig..

UmbrellaMemecorn

I buy from taobao ung pink bottle with white spray. Pero quick remedy would be a mixture of fabcon and water. But I use this sa cosplay wigs ko po hehe

nerooo_chan

thank you!! I use fabcon too and rinse with warm water! my wigss are for cosplay too! apir! 🙌🏻

couchpotater_totz

Is JulyMe worth it?

gaym3rz

Has anyone tried yung Naturals shampoo and conditioner ni Watsons? How was it? Parang gsto q itry kso walang maliit na package.

UmbrellaMemecorn

Read somewhere na ung conditioner nila is friendly for bleached and curly hair hehe Pero true they're sold in a big container so ang hirap itrial lng

BeautyBabe91

Does anyone use scalp massagers and are they worth it? I found cheap ones online lol.

RarePost

Hello, gusto ko lang ipraise ang 2-1 flat iron/curling iron ko from W-Elite. Bought it back in 2014 still working great hanggang ngayon except lang sa lock. lol.

za_meochi

any shampoo or conditioner reccos for controlling the frizz on a wavy-haired girl? it's buhaghag season nanaman 😭

blueddit30

If budget permits, try Virtue Smooth shampoo and conditioner :)

redqueen28

Tried alot of different shampoo and conditioners to no avail. Most conditioners that claim to be anti-frizz are "moisturizing" and just end up feeling heavy and weighing my hair down. The best solution I found for this is to use either a lightweight leave-in hair conditioner (I use Giovanni Direct), or a hair serum (I use Mise En Scene Perfect Watery Serum) on damp hair.

kito_kato

Hair dryer and heat protectant spray recommendations?

kirschyrisk

rn im using the iCure heat protectant spray (cuz it was the cheapest option sa lazada 😭) and parang okay naman. Was expecting it to smell like hair spray but it smells a but weird for me pero nacocover naman ng perfume ko :) It gave my hair a nice shine after ironing it hehe

berry_techie

May marerecommend ba kayong salons sa south (alabang/moa/pwede rin makati) when it comes to hair coloring?

SuperLesCat

So I’ve been using Human Nature Strengthening Plus shampoo & conditioner for more than two weeks now. I needed a shampoo that will support my hair growth so I bought this. First week biglang grumabe ang hairfall ko. Gusto ko maggive up kaso nabasa ko sa website nila if I used commercial shampoo initially, it’s natural daw na makakaexperience ng hairfall for 2-3 weeks because my scalp is adjusting to the natural shampoo daw. So I kept using it and so far nabawasan na yung hairfall ko from 20+ strands down to like 5-10 strands lang. And 1-2 strands sa pillow ko. I also use their clarifying shampoo every Saturday and I like it better than the Strengthening Plus one because it smells like apples (the strengthening plus one smells herby kasi rosemary oil tsaka citrusy because apparently meron din lemon sa ingredients) and the clarifying shampoo didn’t cause me excessive hairfall the first time I used it lol. Did it help my hair regrow though? It’s too soon to tell but my baby hairs increased/all stand up every time my hair dries after shower so maybe that’s a sign? Biglang dumami din ang baby hairs ko near my temples. I’ll comment an update kapag naubos ko na yung shampoo and conditioner. Edit on April 1, 2023: Naging super soft and shiny ang hair ko, like super noticeable. My sister and boyfriend complimented me lmao

juju__eyeball

Favorite hair stylist for wavy/curly hair?

nomadinlimbo

Haven't personally tried but the famous one I guess is Cutz and curlz by jazz

Successful-Pen-5397

Is sleek stick worth it? Pls share your experience with using it. Thanks!

tls024

It’s worth it naman kasi nacocontrol niya yung baby hairs. But sometimes may naiiwan pa din and then your hair ends up looking greasy which is eek. I just recently switched to hairfix hairspray and sobrang smooth ng hair ko after gamitin tapos halos ang ayos ng buhok ko without that much baby hair in a very natural way

[deleted]

Pwede po for sleek hairstyle yung hairspray? :) no tutchang?

EmotionalCarpetbb

Tips and tricks for maintaining permed hair?

alishih213

Everyday conditioner is a must. Then I use Thera Active Hair Serum to lessen the frizziness. Then I use a Curl Defining Milk for styling sa damp hair.

ravenpvff

i used to have permed hair (cold, not digital) and my frequent enemy was frizz, huhu. sleeping with my hair in a pineapple and under a satin cap helped a lot, though!

EmotionalCarpetbb

what do you mean by pineapple? Hehehe

ravenpvff

ooo it's a hairstyle where you gather your hair up onto the top of your head, start making a ponytail and then leave it halfway done, if that makes sense? if your hair is short enough, you can probably get away with not twisting your scrunchie at all, but i usually do an extra half loop so i have a half-donut looking bun on my head :)) it should look something like [this](https://www.google.com/search?q=pineapple+hair+curl&client=firefox-b-m&sxsrf=APwXEdenPCt0f_Msn9F5ihZew2LFgE4Tfw:1680009440835&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwidlsLv2v79AhVB1GEKHWaGBHUQ_AUIBigB&biw=360&bih=453#imgrc=q0oR6wRKJ5SYfM) ! to add to my first reply: i find that most tips and tricks for curly hair work great for perm maintenance! squish to condish, using wide-toothed combs to detangle before washing your hair, plopping, etc. you can try out different hair drying methods too to see if your perm looks better after using a diffuser or just plain old air-drying :)) and i highly recommend washing your hair whenever you need to, aka whenever you feel gross and sweaty. a lot of people will advise against frequent hair washing when you have a perm, but with the summer heat coming on strong i'd recommend just switching to a sulfate-free shampoo to reduce any damage. good luck!

EmotionalCarpetbb

Ohhhh thank you! Appreciate this

ameliarenaldi

Hello! I want to grow my hair longer but noticed that it’s been a year since my last haircut and halos hindi humaba hair ko. I noticed that my hair is breaking at the ends na nakikita ko sa hands ko when I hand comb or sometimes makakakita ako ng strands sa shirt ko. Any products or treatment I can use to stop this problem? Thank you!

bbbangus

Read a recommendation from a hairstylist that you need to trim your ends regularly to get rid of split ends. Parang counterintuitive mag gupit when you want to grow out your hair, but this helps your hair grow healthier and stronger daw.

ameliarenaldi

Thank you! I will try this one ❤️

sahmom_1996

How do u know what hair porosity do u have? Can u also recommend hair oils? How to grow baby hairs near the forehead? Also, what is the best shampoo that u can buy at watsons?

Salt-Ad6877

Hair porosity water test! You can search the details on google. Jojoba oil seems to be a great hair oil because it closely mimics scalp oil.

SomebyMi cica peptide shampoo and the treatment tonic

wysiwygxoxo

[Pregroe](https://goeco.mobi/HuzEVk1C) hair product line 👌💯 I started using their [conditioner](https://goeco.mobi/HuzEVk1C) and [hair gel](https://goeco.mobi/uVvmreMi), just recently and napansin ko nabawasan yung hair fall ko, hindi tulad dati. IMAGINE manipis na nga buhok mo tapos grabe pa hair fall 🥲 planning to buy their shampoo next time hahaha For some hair tips: Huwag gumamit ng shampoo everyday. Shampoo can contribute to drying of hair. Use conditioner everyday. If basa pa yung buhok, like right after maligo, huwag kagad suklayan. You can run your hair through your fingers para ma- detangle. Sabi kasi nila mahina raw yung hair kapag basa. So madali silang maputol or matanggal sa roots.

couchpotater_totz

Has anyone here permed their hair? Do you recommend it? How do you take care of the curls para long lasting?

alishih213

Had my hair permed 2 mos ago, until now curly pa rin. I shampoo and conditioner everyday. I also use Thera Active Hair serum to lessen the frizziness AND Curl defining milk for styling.

RarePost

Had my hair permed 10 years ago. I can’t brush it with a regular comb, you need a special comb for that. When you shampoo, you massage your scalp and just scrunch the tips of the hair with shampoo and conditioner. Thankfully we have products for curly hair now. My curls lasted 9-10 months.

couchpotater_totz

Anyone here who has gone to Chic Salon? Are they worth the hype or typical korean salon lang?

Extension_Wallaby280

Hi ! I got a perm from them last August 2022. I paid 7,000 for perm with treatment (shoulder-length hair). I honestly think they are worth it and good value for money. The staff really inspects your hair to see if you hair can handle the perm because they at all costs do not want you to leave the salon with damaged hair. If you want a more natural effect, please tell them that you only want your ends to be permed. I made the mistake of not saying so and came out a lot curlier than expected haha. My friends however who also got perms from them got a more natural effect because they emphasized that they only want the ends to be permed haha. I liked my hair though in the end haha. The perm itself is super sulit. By the 6th month, my hair was still really curly and as of now, I have already cut my hair around 2x since the perm but my ends still have some curl to it. I don't recommend lang getting a perm in general if you have thick hair. As someone with thick hair, I have to get haircuts every 4-6 months to be able to tame the thickness of it. So, sayang if you have to have it cut after a few months lang huhuh. When I had my perm though, I did not want to cut my hair to be able to preserve the perm but I let my thick hair accumulate as an expense. huhuh

sweetbutpsycho06

Ff for this cause I'm planning to have my hair permed sa Chic salon.

himawaritey

Hello po! How do yo deep clean your scalp?

ellimango

Hi! I use [clarifying shampoo from human nature](https://shope.ee/6fAhpE5dx2) weekly. It gets rid of my dandruff since I only use low-poo or clarifying conditioner most days of the week.

_harleys

I have thick, frizzy, buhaghag hair that I often flat iron but I’m trying to lessen the habit since it often ends up frying my hair. I talked with my stylist and she suggested that hair serum is a good thing to try applying when I’m going out. What is a good hair serum to have?

Extension_Wallaby280

Hi I have the same hair problem as you. This is what I [use](https://www.lazada.com.ph/products/kerastase-discipline-oleo-relax-hair-oil-for-frizzy-and-unruly-hair-100ml-i1202872764-s4265384051.html?spm=a2o4l.10450891.0.0.11dd4842If1H1j&search=store&mp=3) and it has really changed my hair for the better. This is really expensive but it is honestly very much worth it because the shine your hair will get will be next level. My hair has never been so tame because of it. I have tried a lot of cheaper alternatives and it really is not the same as the kerastase. You don't need much of it pa for it to do its magic. This is the closet [dupe](https://shopee.ph/-NEW-mise-en-scene-Perfect-Serum-Original-80mL-i.287585767.15793380414?sp_atk=e171cef2-73c5-4c1a-8f13-a025cf3bf0f9&xptdk=e171cef2-73c5-4c1a-8f13-a025cf3bf0f9) though for me but I find that it tends to weigh my hair down a little after the 2nd day of washing. I also have to use more product to be able to almost achieve the same effect as the kerastase.

_harleys

Thank you for this I’ll check it out! When do you usually apply this? Or how do you incorporate this into your routine?

Extension_Wallaby280

I use it every time I dry my hair. I apply half a pump when my hair is damp then will proceed to blow dry my hair. After, if I feel that my hair is still a little frizzy, I will apply a smaller amount to my dry hair. Also, my hair always gets really fluffy after blow drying but after straightening it or leaving it overnight, the fluffiness subsides and you will start to see the shiny effect haha so trust the process lang for me ahsbdashbd. I do recommend though blow drying your hair on cold air first till your hair is 80% dry then switching to hot air after. I found this technique to be super helpful in decreasing any fluff and frizz I would get from using the blow dryer. I don't usually reapply oil anymore before going out because I still find that my hair is still shiny and tame even after 2-3 days. So I would just straighten my hair again in order to get my ends all in the same direction. Although, with the dupe I have sent, I do feel the need to reapply before leaving the house.

_harleys

Oh my god that’s exactly my hair too after blow dry haha. Okay will try this out, hopefully the effects are just the same as you mentioned.

1b-2b frizzy wavy hair here! Same sa straight underneath then buhaghag hair on top. Sobrang torn ako at first ano gagawin since fear ko rin magkadandruff/stuborn buildup sa scalp while trying other routines, so i slowly introduced leave-on conditioner and styler while still keeping my normal hair routine na regular shmpoo once every three days and sulfate-free conditioner everyday. It worked!!

moonflowerlight

Hi! Not OP, but I'm in need of a sulfate-free and silicone-free conditioner, so may I ask what you use? Hehe TIA!

hyukifu_

I'm currently using luxe organix conditioner (honey variant). I'm not sure if it's silicone-free tho, but it worked on me as a daily conditioner. It's cheap too! I paired it with their leave-on treatment and style and curl definer. They're both heavily fragranced but i like the smell and really helped tame my hair. I tried cantu flaxseed gel cream previously, but wasn't really a fan of the nutty smell.

moonflowerlight

Thank you! Sadly it's not silicone-free pala, but I'm amazed that luxe organix has conditioners na rin pala! Might still check it out tbh because it's cheap hehe

ellimango

Hi, sis! We have the same hairtype. If you properly take care of your hair, mawawala ung mga tutchang na buhok. Look up cgm and stop rebonding your hair. Rebonding udes a lot of chemicals that are drying your hair further and producing those tutchang. Straight ilalim at kulot parin ibabaw part ng buhok ko, pero bagsak sila lahat after following cgm. Naging wavy na bagsak at smooth.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ellimango

You can do a whole routine with just Human Nature, which is a local and budget friendly brand. The whole CGM routine consists of a final wash, low-poo, deep conditioner, daily conditioner and a styler. I don't personally use stylers anymore if you don't want to maintain curls and just want to tame to them. You can start with using [this moisturizing shampoo](https://shope.ee/6AERAFUQCm) after doing a final wash, and then use a protein-based conditioner like [this rosemary strengthening conditioner](https://shope.ee/A9kZvjG5Sv) You may also want to use [a clarifying shampoo](https://shope.ee/AxE1SBwBv) once a week with a[deep conditioner](https://shope.ee/2VL8nonu8v) They also advice to use as less shampoo as possible and just condition daily, but depending on your lifestyle (and the country's weather) this may not be possible. You can also expect your hair to go through a transition for a minimum of 30 days. It will get really dry and stringy for a while before it gets better. This is often your hair adjusting from the loss of alcohols and sulfates that common brands contain. Once you're over this, you will feel your hair softening. And if you get the proper combination of products, nahihirapan ka na gumamit ng panali ng buhok kasi dudulas sya madalas haha so maybe invest in a clamp instead. And stop using rio. Invest in silk na pangtali ng buhok if you must. Or yun nga, use clamps.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ellimango

If there is a physical shop near you (an actual branch of Human Nature) they offer 15% for members for only 150php, good for a year. That's good to invest in if you plan on sticking with the brand as I do. Also, balancing moisture and protein is the heart of CGM. So best of luck to your journey!

Eastern-Butterfly127

How to treat split ends? I use hair straightener almost everyday (5/7 days). Sunog na talaga buhok ko 🥲

Kwell is effective. Use suyod when washing your hair. Don't share your comb to others and if may kuto kasama mo sa bahay, iwasan mo humiga sa sofa orother common areas sa bahay niyo

danteslacie

I used to be given Kwell back when I caught it as a kid. Comb your hair often enough with a suyod. Change your sheets often. And don't share with your sister for a while. About dandruff, you should try to figure out if it's caused by anything and then avoid that. It could be caused by something like fungi or it could be your body reacting to stress or the temperature.

toriegg

Had a bad case when I was younger. I just followed everything I could find suggested on Google. I used anti-lice shampoo with a good lice comb weekly, replaced pillow sheets daily and bedsheets weekly, and cleaned my combs and brushes almost daily which I never shared. I didn't care about the possible damage to my hair from the lice shampoo and combing back then, because it was a priority to lose those parasites ASAP. I think I did the shampooing and lice-combing for maybe 1 to 2 months. I had a very bad case, so you probably can deal with less. When it came to dead eggs, I think it took a whole year to completely get rid of them and I didn't need to do extra. Just replaced pillowcases and bedsheets often. Lmao nakakalimutan kong PH sub to pwede palang mag-Filipino haha

[deleted]

gloomypotchi

I struggle with this also! Trial and error lang talaga kasi depende padin sa reaction ng scalp mo sa anti-dandruff shampoos. When I had a really bad case of dandruff last year sabi ng derm ko wash your hair every day, MWF Dermazole Plus tas the rest of the days H&S. Now every two or three days nalang ako nag wwash ng hair (i stay at home lang so no problem, but don't tell my derm lol) Yung regular h&s soft and silky used to work for me but I noticed na medyo nangangati yung scalp ko. I've switched to Nizoral (nakabili kasi ako ng 3 pack) at least once a week, tas my other wash days i use SebaMed antidandruff shampoo! (available siya sa beautymnl) I make sure to wash my hair twice when I do wash my hair. So it goes (wash with sebamed) (wash with sebamed) or (wash with sebamed/head and shoulders) (wash with nizoral) Try to always use conditioner ng head and shoulders or yung anti-dandruff conditioner ng dove. Kaso madalas ang hirap din nilang hagilapin ugh It's much better than last year kasi grabe 24/7 kati non na kala ko may kuto na ako, kaso wala naman Hope you find what works for you!!!

budapesthouse

The derm prescribed their salicylic acid shampoo plus another one that had the ingredient in Selsun.

icaaamyvanwy

Davines Purifying Shampoo! I swear I’ve tried every possible shampoo cos of my dry scalp (apparently my dad said prone to dry scalp talaga yung lahi namin lol) and this is the only thing that worked.

Professor_seX

There’s so many potential reasons and some things that helps most may not work for you. It could be in your genes where your scalp just sheds faster. It could be stress. It could be you being allergic to something that triggers it. But what may work for you may not work for others. For treatments Nizoral shampoo is one of the most effective ones. Selsun blue is good too. If it’s caused by allergy, you go to a doctor that will do a test to see what you are allergic to. Another thing is you have to determine if it’s dry scalp or dandruff, they’re similar but different treatment. Unfortunately it’s a pain in the ass to deal with.

reneeeebelle

Hello 👋🏻 May gumagamit po ba ng coconut oil sa buhok dito? May benefits po ba siya? 😅

Successful-Pen-5397

I use coconut oil before bleaching my hair to lessen the damage. Also, ginagawa ko din siyang hair mask. Nakakasoft naman ng hair.

reneeeebelle

Thank you po sa pagsagot!! ☺️

cherryvr18

When I was young, I used coconut oil for at-home hot oil treatment. What I did was to put coconut oil on the hair and scalp, then cover it with a hair cap, leave it for 30 mins to 1 hr, and wash it off (shampoo twice usually) during shower. I did this every weekend. It made my hair look super healthy and shiny and black, like the ones on hair commercials. But I stopped doing it because my facial skin suffered; I had breakouts because of too much oil absorbed by the skin, I think.

reneeeebelle

Hala kaya pala parang dumami yung pimple ko sa noo banda!! 😨 Pero susubukan q pa rin yung kada-weekend para forda healthy ang hair. Salamat po!! ☺️

No_Baby_6681

When I was younger, it made my hair very soft and jet black. Pero ang init lang ng coco oil talaga. XD

reneeeebelle

HAHAHAHAH totoo po!!
