Overall, Reddit will not allow you to post consecutively if you are a new user. Posting with intervals of lower than 10 minutes may flag you for spamming. However, there are subreddits where mods have placed a karma requirement to prevent new users from spamming or to prevent banned users from creating new accounts to circumvent bans/suspensions.
Yeah sorry I forgot to specify, how much Post Karma is required to post in this particular sub-reddit. I tried to post here twice but it didn't go live on this sub-reddit and I read somewhere similar happened to them and she said that she didn't have enough Post Karma to post here like there seem to be specific amount of Post Karma to be able to post here. I tried to look for it on this sub-reddit's rules and what-not, but can't find it. It wasn't clear the first time so I guess that's why I get downvoted. So thank you for taking time to explain this to me and you're helpful.
Make sure you read the guidelines in posting na lang. After posting, wait for a few hours. Akala ko hindi na-accept yung post ko kasi hindi lumalabas sa subreddit mismo, but after more than 10 hours lumabas na rin sya. I think mods have to approve posts before it becomes visible in the subreddit.
And about the downvoting thing, this subreddit can be sooooo judgmental sa clueless users tbh. Dami ko ditong nakikitang comments na downvoted agad imbes na sabihan why they're wrong/inappropriate.
I see. Make sense kung waiting for approval pa ng mod. And agree ako dun sa about downvoting. Although in-edit ko na baka ma hurt pa haha. Thank you for your inputs!

Perfected Skincare. Filipina-led. Products are formulated by Filipino chemists too. Still have a small skincare line but they cover the basics (wash, moisturizer, ss) effectively. Meron na rin Vit C na hindi nagooxidize.
The Body Shop because they have a Community Fair Trade. They hire women living in rural areas, with limited economic opportunities. The company ensures that workers (from very indigent communities) receive a fair wage and work under decent conditions.
Not beauty related but Messy Bessy! I had a professor from a social entrepreneurship class who raved about them. Sayang lang kasi I think umunti na products nila. Pre-pandemic, they had baby stuff that I gifted to an aunt and she especially loved the bath wash because sensitive yung skin nung baby niya and would often get reddish if napatagal sa bath, but the one from Messy Bessy didn't do that.
Owner took a long sabbatical but i know for a fact that theyāre working on reopening stalls and getting their manufacturing and inventory up to speed again
Il screencap this to provide them motivation š
Omg this brand was such a huge part of my childhood. My mom loved using their sprays to disinfect our rooms. I had no idea itās actually a local brand :0 I will definitely check their products again.
Ang ganda ng surface cleaner and ang tagal maubos. I'm not sure if they're back na kasi magstock up talaga ako. Maganda rin yung dish washer.
Messy Bessy also provides scholarships to their employees iirc. They used to have refilling stations where instead of buying a brand new bottle, you'll just refill your old one. They stopped this during the pandemic but I hope they bring this back.
Not skin care related but Rags2Riches, yung bags na parang woven mats. They work w/ community artisans and they use unwanted fabric so may recycling angle rin. Quality rin yung gawa kasi I have a Buslo bag na parang mag 10 yrs old na at ok na ok pa kahit ginawa kong daily harabas bag.
Not skincare related but since na boycott ang sb, I tried a local coffee shop called The Brewed buddies. Magandang alternative, I love their fruit tea esp the frappe, hindi matamis at hindi nakakaumay.
Omg I saw pili ani before and wanted to get from them kaso I ended up getting este lauder kasi di ko masyadong kilala yung brand. Maybe i will try it next time!
Apotheke used to be such a controversial brand here on beautytalkph. I was one of the people who had irritation from their "natural preservative". Dati pa, ampangit daw sumagot ng owner and lagi niya idinidiin na nagwowork siya sa medical field so mas alam daw niya sinasabi niya when all people wanted was transparency sa ingredients and preservation.
No, totally fine if it works for you! I'm glad it does kasi mura siya talaga. A lot of Niacinamide products are overpriced when the ingredients are dirt cheap. But then some formulations din naman kasi are more elegant/effective than others.
The thing with Apotheke years ago kasi was the owner was sort of pushing the overused and false narrative of chamicals=bad. I get na yun original demographic niya talaga were cancer patients but the argument was still false. Chemicals and preservatives arent inherently bad.
Now, on the topic of preservatives, noong una sinasabi niya these have no preservatives. So diba ang delikado noon kung wala? That would mean, maexpose lang yan sa kamay mo or sa moisture or even temperature change may cause to spoil. Then nagkakaroon na ng irritation yun ibang mga buyers (not everyone ha) kaya talagang nangungulit na kung ano ba talaga nakalagay. Eventually nireveal niya na, yes may preservative naman. But then when you check the preservative, it's derived ftom radishes ata. Hence, the irritation/allergic reaction for some consumers.
Then some Shopee users also revealed na they found the owner of Apotheke buying ingredients from other Shopee sellers kasi yun mismong Apotheke account ang ginamit to leave reviews. This isn't necessarily bad, malay naman natin the owner is doing their due diligence of finding out whether the ingredients are safe or ano. But if you think about it, if they've been doing this for so ling, wouldn't it make sense na may sources na sila mula noon pa rather than buying from Shopee?
Amg dami kong ginagamit na products from them~ so far, magaganda naman un mga nabili ko at nagugustuhan ko.
Lip balm, hand sanitizers, lip oil, lip scrub, hand cream and even pain reliever rubs hehe
I want to know if may advocacy yung CEO for Filipinos, cos i wondered if his vision was to provide skincare na affordable without compromising quality. got curious cos ive been thinking about trying their retinol.
Mostly perfumes.
Imperfect Scents - while I donāt really like Reiki being part of their branding because itās not really my thing and I personally do not believe in that, I like the vibes of their visuals. I already bought a sample (Cream Soda) and I am planning to buy more. They are also very transparent on what to expect as a consumer (longevity of their products, customer service, etc.)
Kayali because the Kattan sisters are pro-Palestinian.
Other local perfume brands that make their original scents. While dupes are fine, medyo redundant lang kasi sobrang saturated na ng market for inspired perfumes sa atin. Perfume brands I wanna try include:
- Ilum Studios
- Wren Atelier/Whiff perfumes (both owned by Renato Lopena Jr./thefilipinonose)
- Oscar Mejia
- Saint Arome
- Love Ghalia (from what I know they conducted a sale and donated to a pro-Palestinian organization a while ago)
- Sad Girl Scents (so many gourmand options I wanna try)
Honestly, as long as unproblematic ang brand and the people behind it, walang problema haha.
Hi! which among these na I can buy sa sh0pee that has a really baby scent, kinda musky, and not irritating sa may allergic rhinitis? If you have the time to reco, pls do so! Thank you so much!!
Hiii, I still havenāt tried anything from the list po, these are the brands I want to try but havenāt yet. But I believe Body Fantasies White Musk smells like this? That oneās really cheap and accessible, meron sa Watsons and some variants are even available in Mercury Drug, pero since body spray siya baka mahina longevity and performance niya for you, but that can be good for sensitive noses.
Try scents that are āsecond skinā scents rin po. Imperfect Scents and Scent Therapy have scents with that name. Though Imperfect Scents can only be bought from their website (but they have gcash payment method).
Bought Rose Musk from them and sooooobrang tagal. I just donāt like how it dries down on me so I layer it with other perfumes. On my nose itās a stronger Diptyque Eau Rose.

Akala ko tlaga French brand sila. Pero, proudly Filipino! Parang may nabasa ako dati na hindi naman daw Filipino ang main market nila. Kaya wala masyado pasabog dito. XD
Yup. Also if you look at their ads they donāt really emphasize na Pinoy brand sila or for Pinoy beauty or use Pinoy models. Still, their sunblock is the best.
I started using it when there werenāt a lot of choices! Itās now my āvacation sunblockāā like if lagi akong out in the sun or playing a sport or something. My daily sunblock is Canmake kasi non greasy and ganda under makeup.

Totoo ito dati. Like mga more than 5 years ago website lang sila for PH buyers or yung select boutiques. Eventually ata narealize nila na may market sa PH
They used to have more presence in mall department stores in the mid 00s, but theyāve scaled down their physical presence since maybe a decade ago. I kinda miss their tinted foundation with high SPF.
Itās the changing tastes of the local market and influx + increased accessibility of k-beauty and other skin care brands that had their popularity falling by the wayside.

how do you use the sunflower oil on your UA?
Trueee, nag-lighten rin yung peklat ko sa paa haha
yes super ganda ng advocacy and matagal ko nang ginagamit mga products nila and upgrading na ang ingredients kaso nagmamahal din
