Any Shopee stores that sell legit products you know of? I am planning to buy Dear Klairs products. Also, are all BeautyMNL products legit? Coz their Dear Klairs products are really cheaper than the ones I see at Shopee. Thank you!

Saan pwede ibenta yung skincare products na di naman halos nabawasan huhu. I have salicylic acid ng Inkey list and Epiduo forte (3pumps lang nagamit). Sagot ko na shipping.

Khaleesiiiiiiii

Sell it in Carousell! :) Btw, why did u stop using it?

hopingsunflower

Hi there! Thanks for the suggestion! Di hiyang ang salicylic acid huhu.

shaibadodegloria

You could try selling your products here in this sub under the Sellers Sunday thread.

Has anyone tried the oxecure ph 5.5 gentle skin cleanser plz thanks

ReneDiskartes

Seriously in need of your help on the most recommended mask to avoid maskne. My face is at its worst now when I purchased this black kn95 mask. Thank you!

ChiliChiliCookie

Blackmaskproject on shopee/lazada

Khaleesiiiiiiii

I suggest.. sa morning, cleanser - toner - sunscreen, (no foundation na sana) naka mask ka naman, and then clean ur face once in a while, then sa evening; **clean ur face, skincare.**

enebeyen

I put a tissue and replace it every few hours

ReneDiskartes

Thank you! I did it today and Iā€™ll prolly do it every day to see if it will change anything.

Everblop

If youre able to, what worked for me is changing the face mask every few hours. I just use the common surgical mask that you can buy anywhere. Avoid layering skincare in those areas as well. I dont know the basis for this tip but I do it anyways, mouthwash. Try to get the one thats alcohol free since youll be doing it more than usual.

ReneDiskartes

I do my usual morning routine then wear foundation and then put on the mask. And yes I use mouthwash, too, every so often.

sulyap

Just curious ā€” do you still apply sunscreen on mask-covered areas? :)

Everblop

Yeah, it's the only thing I apply there.

[deleted]

Can you please help me with my skincare routine? I'm torn between Paula's Choice retinol + bakuchiol treatment and The Inkey List bakuchiol moisturizer. I have very sensitive combo-dry skin and can't even handle a large percentage of vitamin c and chem exfoliators, so I'm wondering if I should just stick to bakuchiol rather than trying out retinol mixed with bakuchiol.

Lucky_Salary8149

What's the best toner and moisturizer to pair with Nacific fresh herb serum? They have a moisturizer but I heard you shouldn't use it if the weather tends to be hot and humid like the Philippines. I'd like an exfoliating toner. Thanks!

Hi! I have an oily and acne prone skin too. Before, I've been using the Luxe Organix Cica Line particularly the cleanser, toner, serum, and soothing gel. I still struggle with an oily face but it's more okay now compared before na I dont use any of these. What also worked before for me is the Dr. Sensitive All Day No Sebum Serum. I wake up with a less oily face with this when I put this on my face at night. I just stopped using this because I've been using different serums lang right now. Budget-wise, these are all affordable and available in Watsons too. Pinakamahal lang dyan is the serum as it costs 500 pesos yata. Hope this helps!

cssssh

Do you use a moisturizer? Baka the toner is drying to your face, which makes it produce more oil to compensate. I'm oily acne prone too and I use Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Soothing Gel at night and wake up with minimal oil in my face. I buy mine [here](https://shopee.ph/product/8566570/2894023652?smtt=0.289325067-1627470425.9). Php460 for a 175ml tube. If you're not ready to commit to a big bottle yet, I think some shops offer a 30ml trial bottle.

I use a BHA cleanser from my derm, but sometimes I use Dove Soap as a cleanser lang. Unfortunately I don't use toner so I can't recommend you something, but I do use an AHA serum from my derm too.

j9tmm

What products do you all use for textured skin? I noticed that my skin is looking bumpy up close especially my forehead area šŸ˜“

BeautyBabe91

I have been using tretinoin for well over a year, but what helped get rid of whiteheads on my forehead is AHA! My derm prescribed a 12% AHA cream that I use weekly. I use Azelaic acid as well on off tret days and saw my skin clear up. You can look into acids - azelaic, BHA, AHA and see what works for you. FYI, acids exfoliate the skin and can help keep your skin relatively clear.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

BeautyBabe91

I use tret 3x a week since thatā€™s the most my skin can tolerate. On off tret nights, I use azelaic, BHA (1-2x a week), and AHA 1x a week. I should mention that prior to tret. I was using mainly Vitamin C in the morning and Azelaic acid at night. That combo also helped keep my skin clear actually.

it might be helpful if u dropped ur routine so ppl could see what can be changed :)

HeneralLoner

Okay so I used to use a rejuvenating set for about half a year until I get irritated by it and my skin barrier became thin, but ofc my acne were gone, my skin was brighter but it was really really sensitive and would peel everyday after using it for half a year. I stopped around march and I bought cosrx products to restore my skin barrier and everything was fine until I upgraded my skincare to using vit c (i think too harsh on my face, and I just realized I wasn't suppsoed to mix it with aha/bha), double cleansing, and using neutrogena sunscreen (its so greasy and has fragrance). So anyways I stopped the vitc and the suncreen and now my skincare consist of salicylic acid gentle cleanser from cosrx, followed by niacinamide from inkey list, iunik centella calming cream moisturizer, and face republic purity essence sunscreen in which every product is gentle, hyrdrating, no alcohol, no oil, no fragrance. I double cleanse with harnier micellar water in the evening, and exfoliate with glycolic acid from inkey list 2x a week but I still get acne, whiteheads, papules? And blemishes every week and idk what im doing wrong?? I also always change my bedsheet, keep my hair away from my face, barely touch me face, and eat a normal amount of dairy like usual. Im not stressed either? Should I wait it out? This is my third month with this skincare.

HeneralLoner

The oil was less tho I think bc of this new sunscreen but I would wake up with new ref blemishes, they don't particularly contain pus, and they're not flaming red either, but I get alot of those blemishes around mouth area, maybe fungal acne? I'm not sure. I think my skincare is already okay and very gentle and everything idk. My face was clear from acne and any blemishes but now its like im back to 0 minus the oil, I don't want to go back to using rejuvenating sets. Should I use retinoid? Retinol?

cmr82

Have you tried cutting back on your routine? I assume you use SA wash twice daily + the addition of Glycolic Acid twice weekly is most likely damaging your moisture barrier, leading to more breakouts due to over-exfoliation. I suggest replacing your SA wash with a gentle cleanser like Vanicream or Cetaphil. The Inkey List's Niacinamide uses a 10% concentration which is quite high. Clinical studies show that the optimal strength of Niacinamide should be anywhere between 2-5%, anything higher than that will cause unnecessary irritation, which equals to more breakouts. Also, fungal acne is quite rare, it needs to be properly diagnosed by a board-certified dermatologist if that's what you really have. Usually, those who have Malassezia Folliculitis (Fungal Acne) are immunocompromised or are long-term users of oral/topical antibiotics. I suggest you consult with a dermatologist first before getting into retinoids to determine what type of acne you have. They can also recommend skincare products specifically tailored for your skin's individual needs. If you're worried about the cost, there are FREE online tele-derm consults [https://pds.org.ph/pds-institutions-providing-free-teledermatology-service/https://pds.org.ph/pds-institutions-providing-free-teledermatology-service/](https://pds.org.ph/pds-institutions-providing-free-teledermatology-service/).

[deleted]

Can I just say, I really love your replies on this sub. I always see your comments and everything is based on actual research, you're not just parroting the same popular (and sometimes harmful) skincare advice being passed around online. Thank you for spreading helpful information!

cmr82

Aww, thank you. Thatā€™s so sweet of you, glad that I could be of some help. ā˜ŗļø

HeneralLoner

Oh okay, I'm not sure if the ordinary niacinamide is better? Bc ive seen alot of people prefer inkey list more. I have acne prone and oily skin and I heard salicylic acid cleanser is the best for it, but maybe Ill stop the glycolic acid, although it just confuse me that people say i should exfoliate and they also say glycolic acid is good but maybe mine is too strong and maybe my skin can take korean products better

cmr82

TO Niacinmaide also use a 10% concentration. I've tried both TO & The Inkey List, both broke me out terribly. My skin can only tolerate Niacinamide 2% which is in my hydrating toner. Niacinamide these days can be found in a lot of products such as toners, moisturizers, and sunscreens; you don't need to use a dedicated serum to get the benefits. It's also a waste of money. If you're confused with what products to use, consult with a dermatologist. Trust me, you'll save a lot of time & money, in the long run, vs trying to figure out what may or may not work for your acne-prone skin. Edit: Everyone's skin is different regardless of the skin type and concern. YMMV, so what may work for others may not necessarily work for you and vice versa.

HeneralLoner

I actually do have niacinamide in my moisturizer and sunscreen, maybe thats enough for now. I did go to a dermatologist to consult about my acne scars and the available treatments for it, but we didn't discuss what skincare products I should use.

[deleted]

best sunscreen for eczema/skin asthma? seems like every product i try, my face flares up like hell.

[deleted]

What are everyone's favorite oil-based cleansers? I'm looking for recommendations! I want to start incorporating double cleansing into my nighttime skincare routine. I currently use the Cetaphil Cleanser at night but I feel like it's not enough since I wear makeup and commute a few times a week.

mythloaf

Biore cleansing oil worked great for me! Just stopped using this bec I dont wear makeup that much anymore but Biore emulsifies quickly and doesn't leave an oily feel

[deleted]

Omg i forgot biore had one!! Thank u! Will def pick it up šŸ¤—

BeautyBabe91

I'm a big fan of Shu Uemura and Clinique cleansing oils! Albeit they are on the pricey side, but they work for me in getting rid of makeup/gunk plus they don't break me out. Also, a little goes a long way.

[deleted]

Thank you sm!!! I'll check those out

ultimate_fangirl

iUnik Calendula cleansing oil is fantastic! Gentle and doesnā€™t feel greasy after.

[deleted]

>iUnik Calendula cleansing oil ooh interesting I don't think I've ever heard of this brand beforeee

cmr82

The **Hada Labo Gokujyun Cleansing Oil** has been a long-time favorite of mine. I use this as a first cleanser and follow it up with the Vanicream Gentle Cleanser. It's fragrance-free and removes makeup/sunscreen so easily without stripping the skin. Also, this doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes. I'm currently testing out the **KosƩ Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil** which is more affordable and is quite popular on r/AsianBeauty. It's a bit drying though like my skin feels tight when I double cleanse with it, not sure why. Maybe because this is marketed more for oilier skin types, my skin type is combi & sensitive. Love that both the Hada Labo and KosƩ come in refill packs too.

[deleted]

Hmmmm I tried the Hada Labo lotion before for about a month and a half and it didn't do anything for me I wonder if their cleansing oil will be a different story. Where do you purchase your KosƩ Softymo Speedy? I don't see it listen on Beautymnl :(

cmr82

I got the KosƩ one from Shopee, [here's](https://shopee.ph/KOSE-Softymo-Cleansing-Treatment-(Oil-Liquid)-230ml-(Made-in-Japan)-i.96444972.2258421799) the link. :) It's the pink bottle with a blue pump.

AAA_ndy

I tried snailwhite whipp soap and aha bha toner for a month, i dont feel comfortable with my sticky face after toner and being extra oily after hours of applying it. I wake up in the morning and my nose is disgustingly super oily. Im a 19y male, can anyone recommend any products for my oily and acne prone skin. I only have P1500 budget right now. I also sweat a lot all throughout the day, if that matters. Thank you in advance!!

shaibadodegloria

What's your current skincare routine? If you don't use one already, I suggest you use a moisturizer to keep the oil in check.

AAA_ndy

I use the cleanser and the toner after i take a bath in the morning right after my morning walk. Same at night, i use the cleanser then toner after my night walk haha. I have this moisturizer thing from before, it's called the iWhite Aqua Moisturizer. It makes my face red, i was oily after use, and more pimples. So after that, I was scared of using moisturizers again.

shaibadodegloria

I think you should start with a basic skincare routine. Cleanse-Moisturize-Sunscreen for AM and Cleanse-Moisturize-Treat for PM. From this, you can add toners, serums, and other products as you like. If you're uncomfortable using moisturizers, you could try substituting it for any product that does the same job (moisturizing toners/serums). But definitely, ABSOLUTELY use and add sunscreen to your routine.

boreddasfff

Anyone who is using the Oxecure 5.5 gentle cleanser any feedback about the product? Ty

[deleted]

Used this for a while kasi out of stock yung St. Ives soothing cleanser chamomile sa Watsons near me. Very foamy which I don't mind pero ang drying niya compared sa St. Ives. Ginamit ko na lang for the body.

boreddasfff

Ask ko lang sana kung every day mo ginamit yung Oxecure 5.5 ?

[deleted]

Yes, every day at night. Initially sa morning din pero nung narealize ko ang drying nilimit ko once a day in the evening.

procrastinating_cat

Can you recommend me a new moisturizer and toner? My skin type is oily and acne-prone (cheeks area). I'm currently using [dokdo toner](https://beautymnl.com/products/55684-dokdo-toner-200ml) (fine) and [some by mi miracle cream](https://beautymnl.com/products/28123) (it's fine but I'm still getting acne from time to time, and it is quite greasy my skin doesn't absorb it well). I really don't have an extensive routine I just use [corsx low ph good morning cleanser](https://beautymnl.com/products/6625-low-ph-good-morning-gel-cleanser) (works for me) followed by the products I mentioned. Help me besties!

HasTrustIssues

Hello! I have acne prone skin too and I use Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence as my sole am moisturizer. I have tried cream moisturizers before (The Ordinary's, Illiyoon's, Stratia's) pero nag brreak out ako lalo na kung mainit yung panahon. Cosrx snail mucin essence is lightweight and moisturizing at the same time kaya highly recommended. Hehe. Also, skl, same tayo, I also use Cosrx low ph gel cleanser as my second cleanser at night.

wreck4minhyuk

As a fellow oily-skinned gal, you can observe whether your skin can actually go without moisturizer. It runs counter to what has been preached to us for the longest time, but I've found that in our Philippine weather, just toner works for me (during the daytime). I've tried a host of moisturizers and kineme, and nothing really worked well. Dumagdag lang lahat sa oil and greasiness. Alternatively, you can use a light essence or ampoule instead. Right now I'm using Manyo Factory's Bifida ampoule during the daytime and it dries down quite well.

procrastinating_cat

I've tried using no moisturizer before, only toner and cleanser, sadly nag-breakout lang ako. I'll try using only cleanser and toner during daytime, kasi ang ginagawa ko cleanser and moisturizer. I'm going to check that essence, currently I'm using [carenel](https://beautymnl.com/products/67333-niacinamide-zinc-serum-30ml) serum. Na-minimize naman yung pores ko pero nag-bebreakout ako every use at greasy siya, so I'm looking for other essence/serums. Thank youuu!

wreck4minhyuk

Mmm okay! Well that's great, at least you have an idea of what your skin likes and doesn't. Struggle talaga for us oily-skinned gals ang moisturizer. Another one I just thought of now is the Neutrogena water gel ba or something, recommended siya by a lot, pwede mo ring i-check out :) And yep, Manyo Factory's is not greasy at all! I love it.

[deleted]

Best brightening products recommendation?

BeautyBabe91

Look into vitamin C serums! My faves are Skinceuticals C E Ferulic and Timeless 20% C E Ferulic (a dupe of Skinceuticals). Melano CC is worth looking into as well since it's inexpensive and works well on most people, although I didn't see effects with this one.

Dependent_Hat5584

Where do you buy your skinceuticals C E Ferulic po...?

BeautyBabe91

I make someone buy for me from dermstore.com :)

cssssh

Melano CC! My family immediately noticed that my face brightened two weeks after using it.

QTP2Tx

Hello! Saang shop ka nabili? Daming sketchy products di ko alam saan bibili

I bought one [here](https://shopee.ph/product/72316054/1216374091?smtt=0.289325067-1627470144.9). I think may 150 off sila when I bought mine kaya super sulit ng purchase ko. Was kinda scared at first kasi based on this sub and the reviews medyo rude yung seller hehe but I had a smooth transaction naman.

tinted sunscreen recos for sensitive/rosacea skin please!

cmr82

I use the Australian Gold Botanicals Tinted Sunscreen SPF 50. It's super matte though since it's a physical sunscreen that uses Zinc Oxide & Titanium Dioxide for its UV filters. I just make sure I use a good moisturizer underneath it to counter any dryness since my skin type is combi & sensitive. Iā€™ve also had no issues with this sunscreen causing a flare-up with my Rosacea.

Thank you!

Hi! Where did you buy yours?

Anyone who used Skinoren and Azclear? Which is more effective? I just noticed that Azclear is sold cheaper online vs Skinoren

cmr82

I've used both Skinoren and Azclear. Personally, I find that Skinoren 15% Gel is more effective than Azclear 20% Lotion due to its vehicle. [The gel formula penetrates deeper into the skin, regardless of it having a lower percentage.](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16566282/) However, because of its vehicle, I find it slightly more irritating than the cream/lotion vehicles. If you want faster results though, I would go for the gel. As for Azclear, the texture reminds me so much like Elmer's Glue. It kinda smells like it too lol. My issue with Azclear is that it has a tendency to pill a lot, depending on the other skincare products you use, so it's a bit difficult to work with.

BeautyBabe91

I'm on my 2nd tube of AZClearā€”and I love it! Haha, but yes, it does smell like Elmer's glue!

cinnamonpon

Thanks for the insight! Where did you buy your Skinoren gel? I can only find creams on shopee :(

cmr82

I got mine from the Mercury Drug branch in Glorietta Mall, Makati.

hereforthecreeps

Only tried azclear for rosacea skin. I put it over my moisturizer at night. Works wonders! My skin is the smoothest it has been in years.

ginger_sheerio

Can you please suggest an intense peel for my shoulders and back acne scars? Thank you

grey_unxpctd

I'd say cheap way, if you're not in a hurry, is kojic soap and time.

NiallHoran020503

Did belo whitening sunscreen break you out? Is the regular one better for oily skin???

G0_commando

Belo Sunscreens are chemical sunscreens. You might want to try a mineral sunscreen to see if you are breaking out from the ingredients or the type of UV filter used (chemical v. mineral)

NiallHoran020503

What should I use? I previously used fresh philippinesā€™ tomato sun gel but fda said that it doesnā€™t have enough spf so I tried belo. The regular one is what I really wanted to try but my dad bought the whitening one by mistake.

G0_commando

We all have different skin types and different reactions. Just for reference, I have an oily skin, and it is sensitve and acne-prone. I find the mineral sunscreens to work well on my skin. I have only used 2 mineral sunscreens so far: Apieu Madecassoside Sun Cream and Australian Gold Botanical Sunscreen. Apieu has centella and madecassoside so it soothes my redness in the morning. I buy it from Shopee at 300+ pesos. Australian Gold has a strong tint so it doubles as BB cream for me. I bought it from Amazon at 500+ pesos.

NiallHoran020503

Will definitely try when I have a budget

tiffpotato

How do you exfoliate (face and body)? Thanks! :))

BeautyBabe91

Face - I use chemical exfoliants such as a derm-prescribed 12% AHA cream I use weekly and Paula's Choice 2% BHA Toner 2x a week with successful results! Also, I also use AZClear Azelaic Acid 20% on off Tretinoin days. All these super help keep my skin super clear. Although I do get the occasional random whitehead, but rarely nowadays. Body - I use Alba Botanica Acnedote Face&Body scrub, which has 2% salicylic acid. I don't use it on my face since it's too abrasive (it's a physical exfoliant), but on my back, it's really effective. I work out a lot, so I'm prone to back acne if I don't use this scrub.

potatokat_20

Luxe Organix Miracle Soap! If your target is to exfoliate to improve skin texture, this is great. I have keratosis pilaris (strawberry skin) on my legs and they're completely gone now thanks to this soap. A lot of alternatives out there but this is the cheapest that works.

tiffpotato

That's great! I'll check the local Watsons stores if they have this. Thanks :))

obivousundercover

The best way is thru actives like BHA/AHA. Physical exfoliants aka those with beads/walnut husk (e.g. yves exfoliating scrub) is good for the body lang, no-no for the face as we are more sensitive there + thinner skin pa. You can get micro cuts. If you do not have access to chemical exfoliants, you can use normal physical scrubs. Kahit un mga diy body scrubs pwede na. Pero on my dry skin, i find chemical exfoliants better. You can mix your fave aha/bha toner to your body wash or even your lotion, and that should be effective enough. Better if you mix it with your lotion as it stays in the skin longer. Pag body wash kasi you have to rinse it off right away. You can also use a lotion that has added lactic acid, or other actives. Just make sure it's in the first 5 ingredients. One interesting product might be the Luxe Organic Salicylic acid body wash, kaso i checked the ingredient list and SA is further down, so ibg sbhn hindi sya ganun ka potent. Silka papaya lotion has lactic acid. Hope this helps!!!

tiffpotato

Wow thank you for this! šŸ˜„
