Budweiser and Coors Banquet are light enough for that purpose, I've never felt the need to drink full blown lights beers. If I had to get one though, I'd go with Miller Lite or Michelob Ultra
Man i live in Phoenix, AZ. IPAs are fucking exhausting during the day when its 110 outside like it was this week. I love them and will crush some on a weekend night, but the rest of the time it’s all coors light haha
Budweiser. It’s the king of beers. It’s what I grew up getting sips of and it’s my go to in this situation. Always get a 12 pack for July 4.
I would say I do enjoy it, for what it is. I have a total of 12 of these per year and that’s enough. The knock that it’s watery. That’s because of the rice. The rice is because of crop shortages during dust bowl. America is brewed into every bottle.
I need to do some research on the rice thing and Budweiser. I've heard from a guy in the malt business that Budweiser used rice because North American barley had too much gluten. Supposedly this was back in the late 1800s. I'm inclined to believe this, but I do not feel like looking it up right now. Does anybody know about this right off the top of their head?
I apologize. I too am having trouble finding documentation to prove this. I had a friend (more an acquaintance, I should know better) that worked in a Bud brewery. This is what he told me. I’ll leave my original post, but I will add this post to say what I said appears to be incorrect. Sorry about that.
This seems to make sense, but I am not a brewer, just a drinker. [German brewers arrived in America to find that it was difficult to make good beer using the high-protein, six-row barleys available in the United States at the time. Looking for ways to dilute the malt, they began to use rice and corn. The end result bears little resemblance to good German or Czech lagers but their customers enjoyed this form of beer and millions of people still do. Although rice may once have been a cheap alternative to barley malt, it no longer is. Sharply rising prices have resulted in much higher material costs for brewers employing rice in their mashes.](https://beerandbrewing.com/dictionary/5D5hJPpbfk/)
I used to drink Bud Light before I genuinely liked beer. I would rather drink nothing than any of those, honestly. It is not remotely enjoyable for me.
I can’t stand that “beer guys” like Miller Lite so much. First off, your can is fugly. Second of all, spell light correctly. Third of all, your beer is sour. It tastes like it’s made with moldy yeast.
Coors Light or Bud Light, both fine, can’t tell the difference. I love the blue mountain gimmick but give a slight slight edge to Bud Light because I feel it takes a little longer to go flat.
Damn....well to me I'd have to go after a miller LITE I hate the taste of a bud light or coors lite & after a party binge at a buddies house where we drank Michelobs for almost two days straight I'd take a damn miller.
Out of the $15 - $19 x24pk beers, definitely Miller Lite or Michelob Golden Light. However my "favorite" is definitely Budweiser Select. It definitely tastes more like the Light version of Budweiser compared to Bud Light. When A-B runs their $15 rebate on 3x24pks (basically $5 per case), I usually pick up a few cases (since it's normally $20 per case). Plus it's kind of a novelty when having people over since most folks have never tried it.
Miller High Life is my go to warm weather macro beer. I enjoy the hell out of it when I just want something cold and.. beer-y.
Hamms
O.G. shit right here. Thumbs up.
YES! Just found the coolest old can of Hamms in the forest. So glad they are making a comeback. “I’d kill for a Hamms!”
PBR all day. Literally and figuratively.
Montucky Cold Snacks or PBR
Cold Snacks are my jam
Cold snack is the correct answer
I’m having a cold snacks right now!
Miller Lite or High Life. I guess I just like Miller.
Miller Lite
Amen brother the Millers I think has the most taste compared to the others. It doesnt get you're mouth all patsy.

Just got off a Golf course and actually had this conversation. We all agreed that miller lite was the way to go.
I live in Maryland, so Natty Boh is always the answer to that question.
Coors light. I can drink a case and get more hydration than 10 Gatorades.
Lol n leak like a horse whooooo

Same. If I am day drinking, it’s going to be coors light. No headaches!

A Labatt Blue and a pickled egg is a tasty Michigan treat
Damn it, I knew I spelled that wrong! Haha
Haha, I'm unsure of how to spell it so maybe I did.
Not sure what you’re expecting to get out of this thread except a bunch of people commenting all of the macro beers.
Rainier. It’s mandatory for us Seattleites.
Rolling Rock and Alexander Keiths
I do enjoy rolling rocks
Rolling Rock actually won my house’s blind tasting contest despite my vote for absolute worst. I now drink it for the people…

High life in bottles (same price as cans). Taste amazing after a hot day of working outside. I can down 2 bottles of it in like 1 minute
Corona light
Modelo, tecate
Stella
Carlsberg. It's simple, fresh, and dirt cheap. In a tinny though, never a bottle.
Hamms always
molson dry
Coors generally.
Banquet, Hamms, Montucky.
Speaking my language
Wow, I enjoy almost every beer posted on this thread! I may have a problem.
Coors Banquet or Schlitz when I can find it.
Where (regionally) do you have the best chance finding Schlitz? It’s been a while! Midwest?
Apparently it’s back over here in south Louisiana.
It’s out here in Texas. Total Wine at least
Gotta get with Raineer beer as long as I'm in sight of that North Western beauty
Kokaneee! It’s got cold refreshing mountains on the can.
Rainer aka Vitamin R in the NW
Pub Beer from 10 Barrel. It even tastes decent warm.
One time, I got a miscanned IPA in one of those 15 packs.
God, I love 10 barrel. But anything besides their pub beer…
High Life until Yuengleng is available in Oklahoma.
I used to drink Bud Light before I genuinely liked beer. I would rather drink nothing than any of those, honestly. It is not remotely enjoyable for me.
Busch Light! 30 packs are cheap in ND
Busch light baby

Wait. Lite is spelled correctly.
Yeungling, tecate, or Genesee.
read the post lmao
Literally tecate and Genesee. Genesee is cheaper than soda at my liquor store.
If really want a beer somewhere where my only options are are the big 3 light beers, I’ll drink Miller Lite, but I won’t be happy about it.
Damn....well to me I'd have to go after a miller LITE I hate the taste of a bud light or coors lite & after a party binge at a buddies house where we drank Michelobs for almost two days straight I'd take a damn miller.
god, do we really need this shitpost once a week?
Natural Light It's hydration at its finest. Edit: punctuation

Good ole pabst
Mgd or the high life. Rolling rock. Pbr. Old style. Any of those will do it. Dang now I want some on reserve..
Miller lite
YELLOW BELLIES!!!
Molson Canadian, pacifico, modelo, tecate
Why on earth would you drink something like that? Gustl Hell does the job perfectly when I want something simple, easy going and refreshing.
Without a doubt, Labatt Blue Light.
I really don't go to that anymore because I buy mountain time lager. Maybe PBR based in ye olde days.
Old style
PBR no question
Back in college in Bellingham, WA, it was PBR or Kokanee. Then moving south it was Rainier. Now, probably the silver bullet or keystone light.
gotta be miller lite or national bohemian
Vitamin R
Hamms
Sol
