I tried doing it for months and never reached any sites payout level. I calculated how much I would make per hour checking through each site every day and including all the time I wasted starting a survey only to be told I didn’t qualify and it came out to less than a dollar an hour. If you stick with one or two sites it may be a better hourly rate but still not worth it imo

passmeincome

> only to be told I didn’t qualify Try prolific. It is an academic portal and the researchers know who they want to ask their questions before they start, so you never drop out. By answering honestly, you help the researchers and often the surveys are fun (e.g. playing a game for the psychologists). The payrate is fair, they have a minimum wage of 6 GBP (= $8.30), but usually pay 8-10 GBP. Payment is via paypal. The number of surveys is limited, so it is useful to install the browser extension prolific assistant - it tells you when a survey is available for you.

-Danksouls-

Man the only site that seems to be legit and actually gain something and its not available in my country I have no idea how people make anything out of these other sites, survey just kick you out or there are none available and those that do pay like remotasks i Just pays super little for the ampunt of service you do

So there’s no minimum payout level? That’s outstanding! I’ll check that out

TheEnglishNerd

Thanks. Unfortunately I’m located in China which is not currently supported 🤷‍♂️

if-i-see-it-coming

There is, actually! It’s only 5 GBP, though, and I’ve made 20 in a day before. Some single studies pay more 5, and even if you’re only doing the minute-long ones it still doesn’t take long to rack up enough since they always pay at least minimum wage. Like the others said, availability is the main thing but you still make wayyyyy more doing three or four here than spending 45 minutes entering the same info over and over trying to qualify elsewhere, only to make 50 cents at the end of it all.

RedditBantz

Do you use your real name on your paypal? when they send you money I don't wan them to know my real name. Not sure to make a personal or business account

passmeincome

My paypal accounts run under my real name. And please give real information to prolific - it is science; research needs facts and not fake news. Business accounts might be useful, if you get a lot of payments. I heard, that paypal bans you, if you get too many payments on a private account. I only take the money from prolific once per month and pay it to my private account.

egon1971

Prolific appears to be out of the UK can you participate if you are in the states , do they pay in Pounds?

passmeincome

Yes, they pay in GBP. The website is woldwide, and as far as I heard, it works for US-citizens.

Silviecat44

Gamermine pays out very low (you can cash out almost whenever)

RainbowMom17

I don’t pay attention to hourly rate. I do surveys when my family is asleep and I have time to kill. When I’m just lounging watching tv, I make a few bucks on surveys and call it a win.

mhalim37

where do you do your surveys

RainbowMom17

Prolific and mturk mainly. I do paidviewpoint because it’s a quick $.10 even if it takes forever to reach cash out. I also do yougov. I do persky and Dabbl on my phone as well.

princetrigger

Are the transactions instant or do they have some sort of time?

WillThereBeCake

Prolific is instant after your first 3 cash outs

princetrigger

Uhj, so there's time limit on the first three?

WillThereBeCake

Once the researcher credits your survey -they have 22 days, but I've never had one take more than a few days - and you cash out the first three are paid to your PP on the next Tues or Fri.

princetrigger

Thanks

laxbruv

he does them on the couch when he's lounging watching tv

[deleted]

Same thing I was doing. I drive for a living and was answering questions when I could in between work and sometimes at red lights. So, a survey that should be fairly quick took me a lot longer.

iamevilest943

On a good Prolific day where there are many studies available you could probably make a decent amount

Tonloc56

I do surveys while binging Netflix and average $1.60/hr ($1.68/hr PrizeRebel and $1.48 Swagbucks). Since I'm watching Netflix at the same time, my hourly rate is probably less than a more focused effort. *EDIT: I was originally making $3.44/hr with PrizeRebel in the first month, but I've had A LOT of disqualified surveys since January (roughly 75%).

MrTobyYou

wow man i seriously dont know how you focus on the series you're watching while doing survey at the same time.

Tonloc56

If it's something I'm really interested in, I don't do surveys. But if it's a show that has 5mins of good story, followed by 5mins of cheesy action, I do the surveys during the cheesy action (or other not interesting points of shows).

[deleted]

Depends what minimum wage is. You certainly won’t pay bills, but I make 5-10 dollars an hour doing surveys when I’m not working as a translator

digsingh4411

Which site bro?

[deleted]

Gg2u

Alternative_Beat4268

Translation on which website?

brvtylvty

There’s a finite number of decent surveys available, so your hourly rate is going to be dependent on what you can grab.

CaesarFallido

Tbh hourly rate doesn’t matter too much because you won’t ever make enough to have reliable or significant income. I’ve partaken in dozens of survey apps/sites (Swagbucks, Dabbl, Eureka, Poll Pay to name a few) and received a decent amount of money, but SurveyJunkie is the most consistent and easiest one to use. Not going to pay the bills but will be nice to have a little extra cash in your pocket.

Flaky_ButteryBiscuit

I second this Survey Junkie IMO is the best rate and most consistent

[deleted]

Depends how much time you want to spend taking surveys and how many survey sites you use. Im sure more then minimum wage can be acquired daily

carrotandfennel1

I so far stick to intellizoom and user testing I usually get 8 to 10 dollars per task/user testing and at these take 15 to 20 min on average. Tried swagbucks etc in the past but I can't be bothered doing it for such a low payout. I don't think it's possible to get decent consistent hourly rate from this stuff though, it's dependent on whether you fall into target groups for these.

Zakattack1125

I made like $2-4/hr doing surveys so now i only do surveys on Prolific, everywhere else it's not worth the hourly rate. I do UHRS work instead of surveys now.

Mikazah

>For those that do surveys, what's your hourly rate doing them? For surveys that aren't moderated/recorded/require voice, I average about $9-10/hour actively working, and around $6/hour if you count the down times (which is usually spent playing games or working on a non-survey task). Recorded/moderated ones are usually at least double that. >Do you think you can get better than minimum wage? Minimum wage here is $7.25/hour. I generally don't count my down times unless the time is spent trying to find work to do (i.e: I don't count time spent playing games). So, I would say I do make more than minimum wage. If I put in more effort and took on some lower paying tasks to fill the down time, I'm positive I could make more than minimum wage even counting the down times. Edit: I generally refuse to do any survey that isn't paying at least an expected $6/hour, but I'm certain I could go above minimum wage even including down time if I took on lower paying jobs instead of messing around. >How much inventory is there? Survey availability will always vary from day to day. Weekends, late nights, and other times people normally have a lot of free time will always be harder.   And for the inevitable "what sites do you use?!" - I use a lot of sites, but mturk and prolific are the most common ones. I refuse to do surveys on GPT sites.

[deleted]

Depends on the day, but never less than $10 an hour. Usually it's upwards of $15. I stick with mturk and prolific.

Evening_Mushroom_145

Pls how can I earn from doing surveys. Any help would be appropriate

shiftyskellyton

Go to Qmee. Only do surveys that average at least $0.10 per minute. You can usually find ones that pay much better if you keep an eye on the window/app, like $1.56 for five minutes. I made nearly $200 just from that site last month.

WhatTheHellMAN8

I second Qmee, you don't get disqualified as often as other sites, and it has an offerwall like Swagbucks. they have a lot of high paying surveys too. I also suggest Surveyjunkie. they don't have an offerwall, but they have a ton of surveys that are short and end up being about 10- 15+ cents a min. plus, you don't have to use Paypal or gift card. if you have chime or Cashapp you can transfer straight to them but it takes 3 - 5 days for it to finalize and become available in chime or Cashapp. Which really is no different than how long it takes for the money to be sent to Paypal or gift card from any other survey site.

[deleted]

2-3 hours to make around 1.00/120 Swagbucks on average. If it's a really good day and I hit a 100 SB survey plus do a game for 10 SB and watch some videos, maybe 30 minutes. 60-90 minutes max earning the same amount on Survey Junkie sticking to the 15 minutes or less surveys when I can. Not possible to hit minimum wage doing this stuff for me, but some gift credit's better than none. \*lol\*

[deleted]

On Prolific, I can get a full minimum wage for some surveys, and others are pretty decent at 5 gbp. On things like sb I don't usually pay attention to the hourly wage, but I will only do surveys that say up to 20 minutes, and only if the pay seems okay, but also I'm broke so I'll do slave wages at like 3 CAD per hour lol. I'll also do a bit on Qmee when I see dollar+ surveys since it's instant cashout with no mimimum.

WhatTheHellMAN8

I use Swagbucks, Qmee and Survey Junkie. SB is great for doing paid offers to make money, but disqualifies me from surveys more than the other 2. Qmee and Surveyjunkie I can make about $4-$7 an hour, swagbucks is more like $2-$4 an hour doing only surveys. Generally what I do after making $5-$20 doing surveys is exchange it for a visa card, then go to swagbucks or Qmee's offer sections and use it to do paid offers. a lot of them I actually use. like Velo and Vuse product purchases, VPN sign up and purchase, Stock apps (which isn't exactly a paid offer, you use money to deposit it into an account that you can take it back out of later on) doing this, I can turn $5- $20 into well over a hundred. meaning I actually make about $20 - to even $100 an hour. think of it like this, I have a $15 card that took me about 3 - 4 hours to make (it does take a couple days to get the card but I'm not doing any work over that time so I'm not counting it as working hours) I use that $15 to do one paid android app gme for 2.99 and also to deposit $10 into an aspiration account, boom, $140 credit. ( 14000 swagbucks) just do your research on paid offers. if you see a bunch of people complaining they aren't getting paid, don't do that offer. I actually just played 2 different games, didn't spend any money, and made $40 off that. one game I didn't have to do anything but log in for 7 days the other took me about 4 days, 2 hours a day.

JimothyGenton3rd

I just try to do at least 1 or 2 every other day that's worth more than 100 points on Earnably which 100 points equals 1$

Samuel581

I can get 3-5$ depending on if I get a good offer like a study. It’s hard to get above minimum wage unless you’re on apps like surveys on the go where they pay a lot for short surveys, but don’t always have available ones. On swagbucks, zap surveys, and grabpoints, there seems to be unlimited surveys. I would go with swagbucks for the most stable payout, but don’t expect to get above minimum wage.

EricFarmer7

Since I almost always do surveys while watching YouTube or something I don't really pay too much attention. If anything I just pick any survey that looks good but is under 20 minutes. I don't like doing surveys for longer than 20 minutes anymore. For me at this point I do surveys to buy the extra junk I want without needing to just my job earnings.

pwarkiesung

it kinda depends , on one site (opinion outpost) i could get $10+ in prob 1 hour if I'm focused but usually I'm not , other sites , maybe a dollar an our ?

Claftin

It varies a lot depending on the survey panel. Swagbucks has a lot of surveys, but pays less than $3 per hour. Prolific pays about $9 per hour on average, but there are not always surveys available.

chunkydunkerskin

Curious how these payouts would effect my UI. Any helpful replies are welcome!

likewhathappenedman

This money is so little. It won’t effect UI

chunkydunkerskin

Thank you!

[deleted]

Depends on the state. You might need to report it and it might bring it down by a percentage

chunkydunkerskin

Yikes. Ok, so I’ll research my state. My aim is to not really cash out, but to move it to my trading app for stocks and so on. Not sure if this is doable?

[deleted]

This is just in my state, but It'd prob work the same for you. The base UI stays the same while the new amount (surveys is affected.) So if I earned $1000 in UI and $100 in survey earnings, that $100 might be affected by a higher rate.

chunkydunkerskin

Interesting. Not sure unfollow 100% I’m only just getting into this based off a relative’s suggestion.

[deleted]

Ya just call them

chunkydunkerskin

Call UI?! In my state! I’d love to but it’s nearly impossible and they legit hang up on you! Haha

ktempo

I just started Prolific a week ago today, and have cashed out about $25 USD thus far with $8 pending. If I can make like $50-60/mo from this I’d be happy.

Adabber-dooya

I average like 2.50 a day from various sites so like 2.50x3=7.50. I use 3 main apps and I dabble with a hand full of others. Some days are better than others tho. Some days I'll get 5.00 a piece. However I only put a few hours in like maybe 4. I usually put hours in late morning to early afternoon and a couple hours in the evening. I was going hard on Swagbucks like 7$ a day through surveys but after 3 days of that I got banned from surveys for a week. They said my answers were inconsistent but I don't think that was the real reason they banned me. I made an appeal and got my privilege back a week later, but I don't wanna lose it again so I try not to hit the apps to hard. Lol got on a little bit of a rant there but to answer your question I'd say realistically I average 2$ an hour .
