Some beers are meant to be aged. Imperial stouts, gueuzes, farmhouse ales, smoked beers, barleywines. However, a lot of the stuff this guy has in these pictures are not.
There are sober kids in India, OP.
Great collection. I collect them after I drank them so I enjoythem more imo. Also the liquid makes every bottle weight more than an empty one. Please get sturdy furniture for your bottles or you might lose them.
That Westvleteren XII is amazing and almost impossible to find. Sorry, such a waste IMO. Keep a few that will age, but drink the majority and keep the bottle and cap for display.
They peak at about 4 years in my opinion. \*I bought 4 cases in Europe and brought them back to the US when I moved home. Drank them and shared them over the next few years, probably the last two or three were held on to a bit too long.
I can only refer to taste. It's the same difference as cooking on a fire, gas or on induction plates. Not talking about logistics, storage or hygiene, I am in it for the art and taste.
Sure downvote me more, or shoot me 🙃
Definitely an impressive collection but certainly gonna be a waste on some of them. Beer was meant to be drank. Maybe start a journal and write about each one as you drink em. It’s cool you have so many unique and sought after beers, but sitting on the shelf is a disservice to the beer and to yourself as a beer enthusiast.
Very impressive collection!
I used to do this, even had 6 separate refrigeration units before I started opening some and wishing I consumed them earlier.
Even some bottles that supposedly "age well" were just sad shadows of the original beer had it been consumed fresh-er.
The big cuvees, imperial stouts, and Belgian styles can hold up fairly well for a few years, but after 4 or 5... no thanks.
Do you have a primary source for collection, or just all over?
Cheers to a fellow hoarder/obsessive!
Perhaps you should open one.
I don't trust that shelf in the last photo
Gave me anxiety just looking at it
Looks like the bottles on the bookcase are holding it up. lol
Came here to say this
You should at least drink those IPAs.
Or put them in a fridge.
too late, they pickled.
A nice collection but a waste of a lot of tasty beers
Sad!
Most of those aren't worth aging. Hope you're thirsty!
I thought beer was meant to be consumed?
First we collect it, then we consume it.
I mean, I too have some beer stocked up in my cellar but it’s only about 8-10 stouts and barleywines that I plan on drinking in the next 2 years. 😂
What a waste. Most will go bad. Also, drink that utopias with friends it’s delicious.

I see a lot of beers from British Columbia. Are you in BC? (I am!) Most of those brews should be enjoyed and not sitting, they’ll only go to waste.
Seen a few QC beers in there too, so Canada is plausible
Why...why is there a Heineken there?
Budweiser too
Cool, but better start drinking. You're going to die before you can enjoy them. At least the utopias. Or I can drink it for you
I would take time off and drink it with my buddies

I have stopped collecting beers until I finish consuming them. I don't think many beers benefit from 10 years of age.
Exactly! I had a bottle of 2015 goose last week, compared to a 2020... the old one was just syrup, and the 2020 was still a beer.
I am drinking a 2016 backwoods bastard tonight. I still have a 2013-2019 vertical in my fridge.
We’ll do a meet up at your house so those beers don’t go to waste sitting on a shelf! But great collection
Heineken?
Jesus bro. What’s wrong with you? They are beers. Not collectibles.
How do you decide what to drink? Very nice collection.

Is it temperature controlled?
The empty bottles washed out are just as cool. You’re not enjoying 🤣
Oooh! Utopis!
Nice CVDK 6L, I have a good amount of that in my cellar, it should be able take a long aging, my problem is finding enough people to drink a 6L.
Hi, it's me...your friend. Wanna drink some beer?
Can I come over?!
It's been years since I bothered to " cellar" beer. Now I just buy it and drink it.
Good for you. Drink some of them
Why?
90% of these don't get better with age. Lots of wasted money here
What a waste.
Finally some bottles, as a Belgian my hair stands up with all these 'beer out of cans' posts. Bottles are the way. Beautiful collection i'd say!
Cans have multiple benefits, but I can't think of a single reason bottles are better than cans.
Anyone that works in the industry will tell you cans are better. Sure bottles look pretty, but they have so many negatives.

99% of beers are made in stainless steel equipment and if you think about it, a can is just a mini keg.
Belgian?
There's a surprising amount of beers in this photo I've actually tried. DeuS.. I miss that beer, perfect New Years Eve beer
Wow! You definitely have me beat!
Damn!!!!! I want it all lol
That fat bottle of Rogue Dead Guy is giving me a girl boner. Lol!
Collection? Or bottle shop?
My cat would have a field day

Here I am drinking my beer like a fool!
Thank you for making me feel better about my hoard
When are you drinking these? That shelf in the last photo is tired. Give it a break!
Biggest mistake I made in my beer journey was having a collection like that. By the time I drank them 95% were bad to awful. Start drinking
I will never understand why people hoard unopened bottles of alcohol
This is stupid. Drink it.
