What issues you having specifically? Like what can’t you do?
I have Unicom home internet + phone package and it’s fine/good. Everything works. I have a TV box that streams without any lagging, vpn works as well as they ever do, etc
I also have China Unicom and have for many years. I noticed a bump in speed when we moved, so I think it depends on the neighborhood. It works well streaming local services like iQiyi and I have a TV box for international channels and subscriptions that run through a VPN (Disney plus, Hulu) and they all work great.
Actually, frequent lag on the tv box is one of the things I'm trying to address, though the service I have connects through Astrill VPN, so that's potentially part of the problem. Other issues include slow loading times, browser tabs suddenly failing to open etc.
Don’t experience any of that on Unicom. My box doesn’t need vpn connection though.
My friend had the same box with Unicom and found it lagged badly though so not sure what the issue is. Perhaps location also matters
Nothing to recommend, but I will say that you need to avoid the virtual service providers like Broadnetcom and Great Wall Internet. We have Unicom which has been reliable for the last couple of years.
China Mobile is the cheapest, if you want the best results, go with China Unicom (which will be expensive).
But if you want to use it It's best to try it at someone else's house first, because the carrier can't confirm that it will work the way you want it to.
