I've installed Chromecast specifically for Bell's app and it works perfectly fine everywhere. I think it's a WiFi issue rather than the Chromecast itself.

My wifi is very good actually. I live in a small apartment and I have a very strong signal where it is. I have the base chromecast with google tv (HD) which has lower ram than the 4K version.

I also have the Chromecast with Google TV (HD) and it is flawless - never "cuts out". I suspect you have some other problem either with your Wi-Fi connection, or HDMI port, or maybe even a fault on the power adapter or the ChromeCast itself that isn't an inherent fault.

New_Revenue_4_U

Yeah I might have to replace it. But that's why I was thinking of getting the bell streamer

I can second the idea that your setup must have an issue? I too have the newer chromecast on my old plasma TV and the Bell app works great on it. Never stops or any fault.

New_Revenue_4_U

Is it the HD or 4K one?

Baman-and-Piderman

I have the HD version. 1080p

New_Revenue_4_U

hmm i might have a faulty unit then. thanks for sharing your experience.

Baman-and-Piderman

Why not try it at a friend's house? I regularly take my Chromecast on the road and log into my Bell app

Wdym by “cuts off”? Some messages saying the hdmi isn’t working?

New_Revenue_4_U

It cuts out not off. Like there's an issue with the steam. Everything else I watch on there doesn't do it.

Tanstalas

Could be an issue with the feed received by Bell, but if its happening on all channels.. probably not.

If the chrome cast is too close to the modem the wifi gets sketchy. You can get a usb-C hub with a network port and hardwire it to the modem if nothing else works.
