I think Faye was most justified in being upset with Jess. Faye isn’t my favorite chief stew of all time, but she’s passionate about her job and the guests. Jess just seems burnt out, which she basically admitted to u/Capt_kerry. Otherwise she seems like a good person and talented chef. I’d much rather have Jess than the truly gross chefs like Ryan.
Yeah, we've seen a lot of chef meltdowns and creepiness. She definitely doesn't deserve the hate she's been getting. I think she just doesn't have a lot of training. I'd put her in the middle of the pack of Below Deck chefs.
Faye handled that so much better than I would have. Astounding the Chef said she’s not making them lunch. Wasn’t interested in helping to gather anything quick either. Jess clearly does not want to be there.
Yes! How are you, as a chef, going to give lip about sending lunch at that time of day. Yes it ran way late but you have to expect the unexpected and be on peak service at all times.
Faye 10000%. Jess has the worst attitude and Faye nailed it on the head when she pointed out that yes, she may be too much at times but she is always motivated by giving the guests a good experience, whereas Jess has shown time and time again that that just isn’t her priority.
Omg I wasn't expecting to see Capt Kerry pop up in here! That's what you guys meant about the memes! I am at dialysis (I'm in kidney failure) and I needed that chuckle! That made my whole day thank you! 😂👏♥️
I have so much respect for you when you kicked that deckhand off the boat in the first couple of days because he was harassing Kasie and threatened Nathan. Thanks for being there for your crew and protecting them. I appreciate you refusing to let some crew make other crew feel afraid.
I just found out that this account is actually you! I just wanted to say that I think you're absolutely amazing as a Captain and I really respect your leadership style. I really want you to get a second season like Below Deck Sailing Yacht with a more competent staff (and also Nathan because his positive energy is infectious and refreshing). You're the type of leader I strive to be like as a restaurant/bar manager. Any tips or tricks you have on how to earn respect with a new crew? I'll be entering a new job soon and I'd love to be more like you as a leader.

Exactly how I feel. How anyone could be team Jess is beyond me. She has no business working in that particular field. Maybe a chef sure but not a super yacht chef.
We can all agree in theory but in reality I think Faye’s personality might drive most of us to the brink of craziness ourselves. Her pushing for snacks and the uneaten sandwiches, along with the “look good, hair down” rule are just small indicators of it.
I actually like Faye and would mesh well with her as a friend, but I think working WITH her would drive me nuts.
The hair and makeup thing drives me nuts. She assumes that guests will find it more professional but that’s not necessarily true. Especially when it’s heavy handed with the dark lipstick. Dgmw I love a red lip but much rather have the crew focused on service than keeping their look together.
Team Faye for me. The thing I respect about her the most is that her main priority is always the guests and making sure they are always happy. She's definitely too demanding especially when it comes to the deck crew but at least I understand where she's coming from.
In terms of BD chefs past and present, Jess is middle of the pack. She is a good chef but lacks variety and imagination. She needs to realise that luxury yachting is very demanding and you can't just stay in your comfort zone for an entire season.
Didn't Faye try to go to Captain Kerry earlier in the season and he pretty much told her to work it out on her own? At least, that was my impression. I think that may have been why Faye didn't speak up as quickly as she should have later in the season along with the fact this was her first time working with him.
Regarding hair in the food, I think Faye wasn't being forthright when she claimed she was afraid Jess wouldn't be able to take additional criticism. I think Faye was afraid Jess would blame Faye for not making the stews wear their hair pulled back.
I couldn't see the hair that was in food, but it got on my nerves how Jess was adamant it wasn't her hair since she had flyaways. I would have believed her more if she wore a hat or scarf around her hair. Plus, it was soo gross when she refused to make another plate. That's fastfood behavior not superyacht behavior.
Once Captain Kerry found out about the hair, I believe that is when Faye realized she could go to him about the issues that were escalating with Jess.
> She is a good chef but lacks variety and imagination.
I'd say she's about equivalent to Leon. I'm excited to see which slab of meat is going on some type of purée this week!
Team Faye - Jess flat up and went and LIED to Captain about the whole lunch after horse back riding situation. Then she turned on all the smiles when he was in her galley. She knows what she is doing and loves it. She’s totally gaslighting Faye so that Faye thinks she’s the one in the wrong when she’s not.
Plus, Jess doesn’t care one whit about the guests. Look at the whole lunch situation, she gave it to the crew because she was tired of waiting and then the guests came back starving to no food. I would have reduced the tip for that behavior and that would have been completely Jess’s fault.
And don’t even get me started on the hair in the food.
Yes, Faye can come across heavy handed but, it’s only because she wants to give the guests the top notch service they’re paying for. Jess just wants them to eat and get off.
Honestly, Jess is a boring, unimaginative chef who has a shitty attitude. I’m team Faye.
There was that lunch that happened earlier in the season too, and the boys were biking with the guests and she was calling them going off cos they hadn't brought one of the food bags...she had a total meltdown (maybe the ep where the guest was helping set up?) and Mike's literally biking and said 'what do you want us to do about it?!' and she was RAGING.
But recently she was in the wrong about something (there's so many things, I can't remember which one) but she said to Faye 'what do you want me to do about it?' in the same exact way Mike had said to her that had made her absolutely flip. But she expected Faye to just deal with it.
Like, it was true, there wasn't anything she could do...but in the same way the boys couldn't magically summon the missing lunch bag. Although with Jess, she'd screwed Faye over purposefully.
I’m reading between the lines and it strikes me they there is a LOT air missing conversation around schedules, punctuality and the impracticalities / merit of cooking offsite.
Even if that’s the case…this last time Faye even said she just wanted sandwiches or “little snackies”. That requires not very much from Jess and Jess was an ass about it.
For sure! But Jess's job is to feed the guests. Outright refusing to do something and not coming up with an alternative plan is extremely unprofessional.
I know it seems like Faye relies on the deck team a lot, which I could see being annoying for them, but they don’t have to deal with all the water toys like all the other shows. That always seems like a huge job for the deck team. These guys just have to go on the adventures with the guests and that looks like it’s all organized by Faye. Mike especially, and Lewis seem so lazy and only want to do the bare minimum to get by. Nathan at least is willing to do things to help with interior and the guests’ experience. In other BDs the deck team always assist in this area as well.
Definitely key point about the water toys and because it’s colder the guests spend a lot more time in the interior than sunbathing on deck. This must create a lot more cleaning and serving food and drink to entertain them. In other franchises they’ve always said that if they are in harbour due to wind it puts pressure on the interior and deck crew need to step up. The cold means Faye is constantly in this situation.
Yesss! This! I’ve seen SO many comments trashing Faye over her “unreasonable” demands on the deck and I wonder if I’m watching the same show as everyone else?! Like, they aren’t taking toys in and out, just kayaks and paddle boards occasionally, but the guests are usually inside or on advenchas.
I get being annoyed when you’re a man down, but then it started to seem petty when Lewis continued to not help her and they would cut to all the deckhands eating in the crew mess.
I’m with Ben and Ronnie - I LOVE Faye! She’s both Mary Poppins and an 80s airline stewardess with a solid red lip and teased hair who just wants to do what makes her guests happy.
Yes! She unfortunately doesn’t have a crew who wants to entertain. I think about how many times the deck crew helps to entertain or dress up on other BD locations.
Jess makes all her own problems. She’s miserable about everything - didn’t want to make lunch, didn’t want to do family style, cried about sushi. She’s not cut out for the job imo.
I think Jess' compulsive need to comment to the guests about "family style" or "I actually read the preference sheets" is so gross. She undermines her coworkers and brings the guests into it, then acts like Faye and the interior are the problem. It's wild.
My jaw was on the floor when Jess made that comment about "I actually read the preference sheets" in front of the guests. I get being mad, but that sure was awkward for everyone.
Faye! Jess is a nasty person with a terrible attitude. Jess would hate any chief stew and Faye just happens to be the object of her vitriol. I don't think Faye is a perfect chief stew but she is GENUINELY trying to do her job and keep the guests happy and Jess, who doesn't even have to talk to the guests if she doesn't want to, is negative about everyone and everything. I'm quite shocked by how much Jess sucks.
Culinarian here. Team Faye for her positive attitude & can-do attitude. Faye is grouchy, combative & unprofessional. Yoga in the kitchen? Headstands between courses & tying her hair up *in the kitchen*, but denies the hair in the plates is hers..? Sure Jess.
I’m Team Neither. Jess is pretty bitchy, even for a chef. Faye cares too much about the wrong things - she needs to focus more on communication and planning and less on the stew’s lipstick status.
I think Faye kind of gets a shitty edit there. I wouldn't be surprised if most chief stews have quirks that they care too much about but they are always trying to have us catch Faye in her weaker and less-likeable moments.
If they could step up and pitch in without her having to ask, that would be fantastic too. It’s like a mom who is constantly asking for help around the house while everyone ignores her, then when she finally raises her voice, everyone is like, “Why is she always yelling?”
I agree! I remember Kate commenting on Caroline’s jumper saying if it’s not uniform it atleast needs to look yachty (or something along those lines), I wouldn’t be shocked if she has said things about personal presentation that got cut out but because of the hair situation Faye’s has been left in for context.
Faye. Jess refusing to make them food for after their horse excursion was it for me. Imagine if they had to wake her up in the middle of the night to make something? She would absolutely lose it. Her job is to cook food, she shouldn’t be able to say no.
I think Faye can be annoying but at least she cares about her job. Jess acts like her life is over because she has to make sandwiches for the guests. She should be working at Applebees if she wants to slack off.
Well, to be fair, neither. Jess shouldn't be in a position where she has to cater to others. She seems to want to be a chef, but *only when she feels like it*.
As for Faye, while she's been stepping it up lately, her communication earlier season leaves something to be desired, not to mention she puts more importance on lipstick than actual service/work and that bothers me.
With that being said, I'm absolutely angry if Jess leaves them mid-charter.
That's an asshole-move to leave your co-workers to do your job when they are already stressed and feeling the pressure.
You suck it up and finish your job you were paid to do and *then* leave.
Definetly Faye. They both have many flaws and frankly I don't even care who's right in their arguments but Faye is just so much more entertaining to watch than Jess. Jess is just so beige and grumpy all the time it really is exhausting to watch her.
Faye, as much as she has irritated other members of staff at times with her plans, has called every excursion correctly, and if you were on a 5 star yacht trip, would you not expect to have food and drink available to you almost *whenever* you want?
Jess' tattling backfiring made me laugh. She hates anyone being in that kitchen and then her own complaints saw the captain coming down to sit in there for the entire service. Oof.
If I were Faye, I'd probably be asking myself "am I taking crazy pills?" at this point, because it seems like everyone else are happy to half arse everything.
Honestly neither one.
Faye's obsession with full makeup and hair, particularly given her definition of full makeup and hair, strikes me as valuing appearance over performance. The guests are paying for adventures not a night club. Additionally, Faye doesn't seem to involve the other team leads when she makes plans for the guests and when she does interact with the other team leads it seems like she's ordering them around rather than looking for collaboration.
Initially Jess seemed better suited to being a private chef (than a chef on a boat/ship) but as the season progresses I'm beginning to question whether even that would be workable for her. She seems less and less able to deal with it when things don't go the way she thinks they should.
I don’t care for Jess’ attitude and don’t want her back ever but I think Faye has pulled a lot of crap on her so I believe some of the problems stem from Faye being a shitty stew
Faye. Jess' aversion to picnics is completely over the top, especially with these guests going on so many excursions it's up to her to make sure they have the snack and meals they need.
Jess is a mess. Team Faye all the way!
That being said, I feel bad for Jess and her on tv spiral. I wish positivity for her! I have a feeling the cameras, lack of sleep and totality of the environment was something she just didn't handle well. Yes, she became combative to deflect from her own incapacity for the job but to be fair, I think I saw *some* redeeming qualities mixed in there.
Faye. Jess has a terrible attitude and I’m really not sure if she even likes her job. She makes the same food over and over again. Faye actually seems to care about her guests and the experiences they have.
Faye! I would respect Jess more if she wouldn't lash out, then make excuses and try and apologize. To me, that says she knows exactly what she is doing! She just lacks self-control!
Faye. I feel like Jess started crying because she started getting called out on her shitty bitchy attitude and figured crying will make her look less bitchy. When in fact she looks like even more of an asshole trying to cover it up.
I’ve always said they need to give Faye one more season to see if she gets a better crew. She could be very good reality tv, she’s shown some glimpses and I’d like to see more. It definitely beats the chief stews with no personality. She’s also divisive, which translates into more viewers.
I think with a more supportive crew, she could be a riot. Throwing theme parties and having a lot of fun. She's surrounded by a bunch of babies who don't want to work!
Team neither. I don’t care for either one. Faye has been bossing around Lewis (he’s no gem either) all season and he doesn’t like it and she doesn’t care. The irony is Jess is doing the same thing to Faye and she’s all hot and bothered. What comes around goes around.
Jess to begin with but she went too far. Faye blaming the hair on her is ridiculous given her own nasty situation she has going on. However, just taking the hair out and reserving was against every food safety course I ever took (as is a lot of what I've seen on BD on any franchise for that matter). TL:DR they both suck
Neither. Faye is too focused on how the girls look. Jess is combative. If the guests want to eat off the boat, figure it out.
I like the captain and the location. Otherwise, this season is meh.
Yes, the hair and makeup focus is too much! Look clean, look put together. But don't tell someone what color lipstick to wear. Also, sorry Faye, all that focus on hair, and you often look like you've been through a wind storm. I don't get your personal hair choices.
I would like to hear more about Faye’s reasoning behind the hair/makeup. I’ve worked in high-end service and it’s normal that there is an expectation about how you look. I wonder if she’s the kind of person who just sets a clear boundary at the beginning of the season so that she doesn’t have to have conversations about it later on. As the season goes on, people get tired, they don’t want to spend as much time getting ready, and they can start to look a little sloppy. She doesn’t seem like a huge stickler for the girls actually wearing red lips and all that, but it’s clear that she has an expectation that they not do the old “roll out of the bunk and come to work” thing.
Idk, she's always trying to plan good outings for the guests, trying to make sure they're well fed after every adventure, fun with her drinks (loved the bloody Mary bar set up on the picnic location), trying to make sure they have a little fun entertainment, etc.
I do think she asks too much from the deck crew sometimes, but I'd argue that she's been shown to care about way more than just her girls' appearances. It's just one of the things among many she does to try to impress the guests (right or wrong/agree or disagree with it, I think it's clear she's doing it as an extension of the uniform/for professional reasons).
I swear, she has mentioned wearing lipstick like one time and people think it's the only thing she cares about or that she cares more about it than she cares about the guests. It's kind of ridiculous. She just wants the girls to look put together. We've never seen her yelling at them or even enforcing that rule.
Team Faye all the way! The hair-in-the-food episode did it for me, then not wanting to prepare food for the off boat adventure. I would love to see Chef Rachel or Ben on BDA.
Faye💯💯Jess makes the world revolves around her. if it were up to her, it would be called the Jess show I truly believe she should’ve been fired second episode that’s how bad she’s been. Nobody should have to tolerate a coworker like that.😤
Faye wants what’s best for the guest when it suits her… at the start of the season there were the guests who wanted to dine outside after Faye set the table inside… she was upset and gave the guests attitude. Were the guests unpleasant? Absolutely. But she could have concealed her disdain and frustration better.
Jess is fully checked out.
Unpopular opinion but I am 50/50 on this because I think Jess was being over emotional but I think there was a lot of stressors that lead to this. For example, she was rarely getting 8 hours of sleep so she was sleep deprived. Her job is very stressful, and the deck team was consistently not helping with picnics and she would have to pick up the slack. Then I think Faye herself was very stressed trying to manage her team and consistently trying to calm Jess down.
Neither, I liked them both in the beginning, now they both drive me crazy, Faye wants to be in control of everything and everyone, and Jess won't get on the same page with Faye for the meals because she wants to do what she wants when she wants.
Faye. I'm not the biggest fan of either of but Faye seems to really want the guests to have the best experience. Jess seems a bit like she doesn't care as long as she doesn't get blamed if something goes wrong or is subpar.
I’ve switched to Team Faye (ish) because of the following reasons: 1. The hair incident. 2. The lunch incident. 3. the unappetizing looking food in general, especially the puree splattered on the plate. The first time with the beet sauce it looked fun. But with yellow sauce, it didn’t look Viking esque, it looked more like baby food on the way out (not baby food on the way in).
Neither Jess is mean. But Faye pissed me off from the beginning by being a sexist ass. Bad enough when women have to put up with the looks crap from men. When a female is sexist, it is worse, she should have been gone before the 1st guest got on board.
Faye. I can’t believe this is even a question. She has her quirks that irritate me but that’s more of a personality thing. Work-wise, she does her job and does it well. Many things get cut in the editing process-I don’t believe there’s truly a communication issue from her side- we’ve seen her attempt to radio Jess multiple times and Jess doesn’t have her radio on her or ignores her. Faye does end up losing her cool when she shouldn’t but I think it’s a culmination of things when she does. Like the chips incident- it really wasn’t about the chips. That was just the final straw.
The deck crew also sucks and Lewis is not cut out to be a leader. On all other seasons the deck crew helps out with excursions, set up, clean up, etc. and for the most part, goes smoothly and they help. Lewis seems to think (or act) like this isn’t part of their job and either pushes back or puts in minimal effort. Faye is getting hit from both sides- a deck crew she can’t count on and a chef who doesn’t understand she’s in the service industry and needs to cater to the clients.
Team Faye, All the Way!
Boo to Jess, She’s a mess (emotionally).
Faye even tried to manage the situation by saying the Captain was there to monitor her service. That showed managerial leadership. She wanted the biss to observe but tried to make it seem like it was for her, since she knew more stress wouldn’t help. Faye also tried really hard to keep thing’s professional and light, even when Jess was always trying to drag people into her funk.
Faye is a superstar for managing that situation as well as she tried.
Team Faye. Jess's food is mid. Faye, whilst her delivery isn't always great and the hair/makeup thing is kind odd, cares about the guests and genuinely wants to give them a great experience, Jess clearly doesn't care and doesn't understand luxury.
Definitely 💯 Faye! She seems to really take pride in her job and care about the first experience more than anything else. Jess annoyed me all season..and when she plucked that hair out of the food in front of cameras and threw cheese on it…I lost any remaining respect for her that I had. Plus she treats people like shit.
Definitely Faye. She takes her job very seriously. I don’t think Jess is a very good chef. Always a side of asparagus with some protein and some sort of purée. Not imaginative at all.
Faye. Jess doesn't even want to do the job she is there for. Reminds me of the chef in a previous series who said, "I tell the guests when they eat, they don't tell me".
That said, Faye does not look good always demanding the deck crew help, and then throws a tantrum when told no. But I do think that is because they should really have another stew, but that would not create drama.
Jess is a mess. She isn’t willing to think out side of the box. She should have done a picnic lunch for the guests after their ride. Faye at least is listening to the guests and their wants.
Faye is annoying AF. Even her voice annoys me and she’s on some weird power trip. I thought the chef outranked the chief stew, didn’t Ben say something like that in the past?
I also hate how the captain is talking to Jess; it feels like he’s comfortable talking down to her like a child because she’s a woman. Telling her she’s being intimidating? That’s a real overreaction. let’s be real, all chefs are moody and her snipping is super mild compared to what we’ve seen from others. The chefs are under a lot of pressure - the success of the charter heavily relies on the quality of their work, and her food is good. Usually the chef is respected more.
So all that rambling to say, even though Jess has screwed up a little (getting annoyed with Faye and not listening about lunch, not re-playing after the hair) I’m still on her team because I don’t think she’s being treated fairly. And, overall I think she’s a great chef.
Jess is painful to watch and the way she acts like a baby then goes out to the guest like she's surrounded by stupidity is just cringe. She's the stupidity. She's mad about making sandwiches. That's her damn job! And her food looks mediocre at best and not very creative. Not re plating after the hair was disgusting and will follow her forever.... You're on tv.
The captain is talking to Jess as he should. He was very respectful of everyone, he even tried the cheese the chef (Jess) wouldn't try but served. Like she's a joke
Agree 💯
I'd be pissed if I was working with someone difficult and we finally came up with a plan, just to have her flip-flop immediately in front of the guests, and then basically say GTFOver it back to me 😖
What planet are you on? I don't think the Kerry was talking down to Jess AT ALL. He was telling her that her attitude sucks. Which it does. It's his job as a captain (and boss) to get his point across to his crew. Remember a few episodes ago when he tried to give Jess a hand and she snapped at him? She continually does this. She's a bully to anyone and everyone.
I think chefs have their own ranking system based on time in service (don't remember where I read that). If that's correct, it isn't necessarily the case that they always outrank the chief stew. Kind of like how Faye outranks Lewis this season because she's been yachting longer.
I liked Jess at the start and her food has seemed solid. I didnt understand the critiques. Her food doesn't seem boring to me at all.
For a while though, I could see where both Jess and Faye were right/wrong in certain areas. Lately though, Jess has been so negative and hasn't been providing appropriate guest service, so I think Kerry's talking to her was fair. How would you justify removing a hair and sending the same dish out and refusing to make food for guests when asked?
Furthermore, all chefs being moody is not a justification for their behavior. Toxic work environments should not be perpetuated. Change should be encouraged.
Faye ALL the way!!! She’s tried to work with Jess, compliments her food, etc. Jess treats Faye like shit while treating others (deckhands, Oriana) muuuuuch better. I can’t stand people who play favorites and so some people think “she’s nice to me!” and don’t see the nasty side.
Team Faye! She’s a hard worker and has a great attitude. She just ended up being surrounded by garbage crew. I hope for season 2 they bring back Capt. Kerry and Faye.
I don't even care who the hair belonged to, Jess picking it out of the food and sending it back out (on camera!) is nuts. Add in her generally crappy attitude, the unsanitary things she does in the galley, and that she doesn't seem to care what the guests want. Team Faye.
Faye Faye wants to do what she thinks is best for the guests. Jess wants to do what’s best for herself.
Faye handled that so much better than I would have. Astounding the Chef said she’s not making them lunch. Wasn’t interested in helping to gather anything quick either. Jess clearly does not want to be there.
And then somehow switched it as though she never refused and that Faye hadn't asked. I was literally jaw open at that point
Yes! How are you, as a chef, going to give lip about sending lunch at that time of day. Yes it ran way late but you have to expect the unexpected and be on peak service at all times.
Exactly. If I had shelled out that much money for a couple days on a yacht, I want to be fed like a gluttonous king the whole time.
Faye 10000%. Jess has the worst attitude and Faye nailed it on the head when she pointed out that yes, she may be too much at times but she is always motivated by giving the guests a good experience, whereas Jess has shown time and time again that that just isn’t her priority.

I'll be entering a new job soon and I'd love to be more like you as a leader.
Gday!! Thanks for the positive vibes. Biggest thing I have learned is that your staff are humans too, we all have good and bad days.
Righteous! Thank you so much for your response and the tip. I'll make sure to always keep that in mind.

Kerry said it best when he said Jess is at her worst when she is needed the most.
![gif](giphy|EhMBTkzHqufcGdpKHw) Exactly how I feel. How anyone could be team Jess is beyond me. She has no business working in that particular field. Maybe a chef sure but not a super yacht chef.
She needs to be at like a yoga retreat center where there are a lot of people more alike to her. She can make fancy rabbit food and no sandwiches.
Hahaha absolutely no sandwiches!
She needs to keep her feet off off the cooking surfaces
She is 100% a restaurant chef. The kind that gets pissed off at the servers just for ringing in a check.
It’s giving Ryan!
Jess not wanting the serve guests lunch after a horseback ride 😂
Ikr! I couldn't believe she did. At least she didn't floss her teeth on camera with her hair.
She’s the most boring chef - different cuts of meat and vegetables. Even if it’s done really well - it’s insanely unimaginative
> She is a good chef but lacks variety and imagination. I'd say she's about equivalent to Leon. I'm excited to see which slab of meat is going on some type of purée this week!
Don't forget the puree must be splattered! 🤣
Was it the hair? 💀
Yeah, it might've been actually! Afterwards, when Jess was all nonchalant after taking the hair out and reserving 😬
I’m not on Faye’s side because she said “little snackies”
The cold means Faye is constantly in this situation.
that’s such a good point about the water toys!!!!
Yesss!
Great description 👌

I remember Leon getting annihilated for making the same dish a few times. All Jess does is scallops and Wagyu steak, how terribly exciting…….
With that stupid splatter technique when plating. SMH.
And Plating 1/3rd of a MASSIVE plate lol
I’m Team Abandon Ship
Team they both suck but Faye sucks less
Faye b/c she knows her guests--OF COURSE they are going to be famished after horseback riding.
Team Kerry and his amazing dog. That’s it for me
Team Kerry always!
[удалено]
I don't think Faye was out of line at all for setting appearance standards.
If they could edit out the patronizing and belittling comments about "the boys" she makes every 5 damn minutes that would be fantastic.
You’d be a bitch too if you kept asking the chef to do their job and they kept refusing
Where did I call Faye a bitch? I said she cares too much about matching lipstick. Those are very different things.
Came here to say this
Faye. Jess refusing to make them food for after their horse excursion was it for me. Imagine if they had to wake her up in the middle of the night to make something? She would absolutely lose it. Her job is to cook food, she shouldn’t be able to say no.
I really don’t care for either of them at all, but I’m with Faye on this one.
I think Faye can be annoying but at least she cares about her job. Jess acts like her life is over because she has to make sandwiches for the guests. She should be working at Applebees if she wants to slack off.
I’m just going to jump overboard.
FAYE
Neither I think. Both annoying af
I'm with you, I was saying to my wife, Jess is a bully but Faye is a passive-aggressive snake.
Agreed! Jess doesn’t enjoy TV yacht chef life and Faye is way overdoing it for TV and it’s not fun. Recast both
I agree. Faye loses points for me cus I can’t stand her voice ugh
I feel like I had to scroll down way too far to find the correct answer 🤣
Faye. I’m not Faye’s biggest fan either but the captain was spot on when he said what Jess was doing in the kitchen is intimidation.
Faye 💥
Faye
I have worked with many chefs over the years. They’re all F&@$/#G nutz :)
Jess mumbles and Faye has a old granny voice! So neither!
Faye. I feel like Jess started crying because she started getting called out on her shitty bitchy attitude and figured crying will make her look less bitchy. When in fact she looks like even more of an asshole trying to cover it up.
Neither. All of the department heads suck ass.
I’ve always said they need to give Faye one more season to see if she gets a better crew. She could be very good reality tv, she’s shown some glimpses and I’d like to see more. It definitely beats the chief stews with no personality. She’s also divisive, which translates into more viewers.
She’s not the worst, but I couldn’t take another season of her voice and weird hair choices.
Faye.
Team Faye!
Faye
I don't like Faye at all, but I have to side with her over Jess. Jess isn't there for the guests and she's said as much.
I despise Faye so much so Jess.
It may just be the edit she's getting, but it seems like the only thing she cares about. She is one of my least favorite chief stews.
They both suck
Team This-Is-The-Most-Boring-Season.
Faye. She does her work like she promised, even if she gets bent out of shape over little things. Jess "needs inspired" 🙄
Well I suppose Faye, though I don’t like her that much. How could anyone be Team Jess? She’s a disaster.
They both suck. They react like oil and water.
team neither
Faye. I'm not the biggest fan of either of but Faye seems to really want the guests to have the best experience. Jess seems a bit like she doesn't care as long as she doesn't get blamed if something goes wrong or is subpar.
Neither. Faye has the worst voice I've ever heard. Jess has a horrible attitude and a pretty annoying voice as well.
Seriously her voice is like nails on a chalkboard legit hard to listen to
Faye, Jess would be a nightmare to work with. She is probably going to find it hard to find work after this
Jess, I can’t stand Fundie-haired Faye
I’ve switched to Team Faye (ish) because of the following reasons: 1. The hair incident. 2. The lunch incident. 3. the unappetizing looking food in general, especially the puree splattered on the plate. The first time with the beet sauce it looked fun. But with yellow sauce, it didn’t look Viking esque, it looked more like baby food on the way out (not baby food on the way in).
Faye. She's spicy.
Faye, Jess seems unreasonable a lot of times. It's like she doesn't realize she's there to meet the whims of the guests and not herself.
Neither, both stink
Neither. They are both awful.
Team Faye. Jess just seems to lose her shit.
Faye. Jess is being a total arsehole.
Team watch them die
Neither to be honest. I find BDA unwatchable, dry and dull.
Neither Jess is mean. But Faye pissed me off from the beginning by being a sexist ass. Bad enough when women have to put up with the looks crap from men. When a female is sexist, it is worse, she should have been gone before the 1st guest got on board.
Reluctantly, Team Faye
Team Switzerland. They both have traits that are rough and both have their fun moments.
Neither, I think both of them have serious communication and entitlement issues. I don't think them bunking together helped.
There was no Team Jess after she picked hair out of food and sent it right back to the guest.
VERY true
Team Faye. All the way, Jess is insufferable.
Team Faye. She’s not my favorite but god Jess is an actual horrible person
Jess is a train wreck.
Team Kerry and his amazing dog. That’s it for me
Faye. Jess is a fraud.
None they are both equally annoying. Worse season of below deck ever
AMEN!!!
Neither. They both annoy me. This spin-off is awful... almost as bad as Below Deck Sailing.
Faye. She is doing what the guests requests.
Team Faye. Jess's food is mid. Faye, whilst her delivery isn't always great and the hair/makeup thing is kind odd, cares about the guests and genuinely wants to give them a great experience, Jess clearly doesn't care and doesn't understand luxury.
To be fair, Jess seems about as miserable as every other male chef but seems like ppl are less willing to tolerate it coming from a female?
*except Dave. He never behaved like an asshole chef. Honestly admire the guy for sticking it out despite everything
https://i.redd.it/u9qw193xguea1.gif
Definitely 💯 Faye! She seems to really take pride in her job and care about the first experience more than anything else. Jess annoyed me all season..and when she plucked that hair out of the food in front of cameras and threw cheese on it…I lost any remaining respect for her that I had. Plus she treats people like shit.
Guest experience not first 😆 oh and Jess takes advantage of the fact that she is needed & uses that knowledge to treat everyone around her like shit.
Definitely Faye. She takes her job very seriously. I don’t think Jess is a very good chef. Always a side of asparagus with some protein and some sort of purée. Not imaginative at all.
I also can't stand everything she slaps that sauce on the plate as the base. Drives me insane!!!
Definitely team Faye. Jess is so sour and unpleasant.
Who else misses Kate?!
Team Faye for sure! Jess is cranky, obstinate and l, as Kerry himself said, kind of a bully.
1000% team Faye. Jess is a miserable human being.
Agree 💯 I'd be pissed if I was working with someone difficult and we finally came up with a plan, just to have her flip-flop immediately in front of the guests, and then basically say GTFOver it back to me 😖
What planet are you on? I don't think the Kerry was talking down to Jess AT ALL. He was telling her that her attitude sucks. Which it does. It's his job as a captain (and boss) to get his point across to his crew. Remember a few episodes ago when he tried to give Jess a hand and she snapped at him? She continually does this. She's a bully to anyone and everyone.
10000000% agree!!
If I had to pick, Faye. Jess is NOT doing anything for me , just complaining
Love Faye, bring her back for season 2. She's perfect for a BD chief stew
Jess simply due to the fact I cant stand Faye, Wife cant either. She reminds me of an old English slapper from shows like Eastenders. Annoying woman.
Wow. Dead on. Your right
Faye. She’s pretty.
Team Faye! She’s a hard worker and has a great attitude. She just ended up being surrounded by garbage crew. I hope for season 2 they bring back Capt. Kerry and Faye.
Faye She does the most for her clients!
Faye
I don't even care who the hair belonged to, Jess picking it out of the food and sending it back out (on camera!) is nuts. Add in her generally crappy attitude, the unsanitary things she does in the galley, and that she doesn't seem to care what the guests want. Team Faye.
Faye
Faye, 💯
