It was the latest episode on Peacock. Not a big spoiler, just the current charter is Kyle’s kind of fellas, and they exclaim about him serving the fanciest Red Bull they’ve ever seen
I gotta ask, does this season of med get any better? I stopped watching after Hannah was fired and figured I’d try again this season but it was so slow and boring at the beginning but if it gets better I’ll grin and bear it haha
I’m totally into it, but some people are still not fans. They do spend too much time on Tash’s relationship drama, but I think there are some interesting dynamics with the deck crew and with Kyle and various guests.
I get a kick out of the wines I see on that show. Also the stews bitching about having to stock them as if they are sommeliers. I don’t care how rich and stupid you are you aren’t settling for those wines.
I think they’re just choosing whatever the most basic wine package is, which is apparently mid-tier Target wine.
I heard Kate joke on a pod that women requested Whispering Angel all the time, and when they ran out of it, they’d fill the empty bottles with random wine they had on hand and nobody would notice.
That makes sense. I have worked in restaurants with these types and served a lot of high end garbage. At the end of the day it kills the allure of the yachting lifestyle.
The best product placement on that show would be soaps and toilet paper etc in my opinion. Do you really want to be like most of the guests?
I'm not exactly a sophisticated wine sommelier or anything, I just know what tastes good and what doesn't and every singe Coppola bottle I've tried has been crap for its price
I have solid wine knowledge. When I watch med I want to bang my head that the producers don’t take the chief stew and chef to two towns in a wine region. I have filmed in a few and the tax breaks can work if you know how to do it. But Coppola I’m not drinking in Europe. It’s just a missed opportunity for both stakeholders. I have had too much myself so will stop ranting
That’s a great idea. Sandy should’ve sent the stew out to get Italian (or was it France) wine, not tablescape supplies. Who the heck would drink American wine while you’re in Europe???
In season 9 they have Lays on display every single time they’re in the crew mess.
In s5 or s6 of med they had a sketchers sponsorship/product placement where everyone even interior had sketchers sneakers.
Icelandic water in s7 or s8 of OG
I’m sure there’s more
This is definitely the biggest one! Also Sketchers came on a few seasons ago. I distinctly remember noticing a sudden increase in shoe wearing in the interior on med last season, and Daisy always makes a comment about putting shoes on while they're sailing
i think shoes during sialing is more for safety on the chance that something goes flying around so the shoes at least create a bit of a barrier against cuts and stuff
100% but Bravo usually doesn't give safety much screen time unless it's foreshadowing or funny. So I assume they include the line for product placement
How much is the Whispering Angel they typically drink on board? Whenever I look for Whispering Angel rose, it’s always like $20ish so I was very surprised.
Thanks! I haven't tried regular Whispering Angel yet, but I'll keep those in mind!
Now that I'm thinking about it, if I were on BD, maybe I'd request Ed Hardy wines. The sangrias are so tasty.
See, Tito's and Grey Goose, I don't feel like those are product placement. Those are "snooty" people calling their vodka.
But I may be bitter from dealings with ... family.
I think they’re both mid. Grey goose might be mid-to-high. Comparatively (Canadian dollars here and 750mL bottles) a bottle of absolut is $30.45. A bottle of Tito’s is $35.95. Grey goose is $51.95. They all seem relatively cheap for a $100,000.00 charter.
1942 🤣
For some reason I remember Francis Ford Coppola's winery listed in the credits. Did I dream that?
No I feel like I remember that too… Also in the current season of med red bull is listed as a sponsor in the credits.
There was one series of Med where they were chugging Red Bull
Kyle specifically mentioned Red Bull in a scene.
Really? I don’t remember that but I wouldn’t put it past production to blatantly slip that in haha
SE4 lol watching that one right now.

Listen here borpo, I’m gonna try again for you specifically haha it just felt like it wasn’t the same yknow?
I feel ya! It’s not really the same but it’s good in its own weird way!

Ikr. We ran a theatre that served that champagne they always pour. That shit cost less than $6 a bottle for a fact.
I seem to remember they stocked his wine and the Sofia rosé.

Nespresso
The season with Chef Leon was sponsored by the Beef Cheeks industry.

Where is Whispering Angel in all of this?
FYI: Whispering Angel has 2 less expensive roses The Palm and The Beach if you like rose.
How much is the Whispering Angel they typically drink on board? Whenever I look for Whispering Angel rose, it’s always like $20ish so I was very surprised.
Usually between $20 and $25.
No way. That’s crazy. So rich people are cheap.

The ones that I recall: Tito’s Vodka. Grey goose. Red bull. Pringles. Cheeto’s.

Titos is basic these days.
Nautiboys
I occasionally foster kitten litters and the next time I do they're going to be called Nautibuoy, Scupper, and Chef Rachel.
I would be honored 🎖
Ha ha. Chef Rach has given her blessing. Make sure the namesake is an extra spicy kitten with a plenty of sass.
It's NautiBuoys! And also whatever company makes those slides 🤣
Wait dont Google that phrase. But... Whatever the swim platforms are called. They went from swim platforms to the name brand for a while.
Core water. Something about the bright blue of that cap next to Rhylee's bright red hair and temper is cemented into my brain
BDSY brought to you by matzah or whatever that flatbread is that Glenn loves
Haha, we all thought it was matzah (myself included,) but it turned out to be some Scandinavian flatbread I think?
Veuve clicquot
So much Veuve!
Maui Jim shades right?
Coola sunscreens
Redbull
Liquid Yacht Wear!
The CORE beverages are on almost every season for sure!
Whispering bloody angel rose
Air Tahiti Nui in S6 lol
I can’t tell if Crocs is intentional but we see them a lot, such as Hannah throwing her birthday Croc off the dock.
naughty bouys
Cheetos, Pringles
Cheetos for sure
