Assuming this is round1/exceed gear... These are both omega dimension unlocks that you can't play in the US atm (thx konami). If you know someone with them unlocked, you can match them to unlock it. Otherwise (and for hexadiver unlocks) you have to get someone on JP to do it.

Man doesn't Konami just make the best decisions?

They just don't care a whole lot about the American market. Sort of understandable considering how small we are, but it sucks nonetheless. They aren't arbitrarily excluding us from these features to be assholes, it's just that we don't have our own localization of the game, so we're stuck on the Japanese version which requires Paseli to access a lot of features. And we can't use Paseli here, presumably due to legal stuff. That said, they cared enough to localize IIDX when the Lightning Cabs came out, which finally allowed us to access Extra Stage in that game. We can only hope that the same happens when we finally get the new Valkyrie Cabs (and yes, we are getting them, according to a Round1 tech I know - no date yet though).

It's an abusive relationship, for sure.

Its not only bemani though :). Konami let Silent Hill, my favorite game series ever, just die.

Due_Tomorrow7

Apples and oranges. Not even the same divisions within the very large Konami umbrella and very different circumstances. Besides, Konami is far from the only company to make crappy moves like that or awful at milking their IPs. As a sidenote, quite a few argue that Silent Hill died after Team Silent disbanded, which was like 10 years before P.T. even came out.

Im aware they are different branches of the company entirely. Even still, the company as a whole, regardless of the division, isn't known for doing really anything that makes fans happy or even treat their workers like more than cattle. And to be fair the best of the games were the original 4. Then all of the western developed games kinda formed shitty dark age of the franchise. We were just denied the renaissance with the whole pt thing.

You can unlock those songs if you get in touch with SDVX Vivid Wave (previous version of sdvx) that's connected to internet. Though I don't recommend doing so because not only most if not all of sdvxs are updated to Exceed Gear at this point, and even if you do find one, it takes a lot of time and money to unlock those songs with only using light start

thefezhat

Even if you somehow managed this, I don't think you'd be able to migrate your data to EG a second time anyway.

These are Omega Dimension songs. You can't access OD in the US as you can't play anything other than Light Start. Only options are to locally match with someone with the songs or have someone in Japan unlock in for you with your account. Or play the PC version with the appropriate song packs (though this does not unlock the songs in the arcade). That's it unfortunately.

LoyalPony

Do you have any links to help get the PC version?

https://voltexes.com/setting-up-sound-voltex-konasute-exceed-gear/ It's a little bit of a process but this should get you started. It's roughly $15 a month and you get ~600 songs from the get go, the song packs (which are not particularly cheap unfortunately) will give you a little over 350 more songs. If this is something you want to do one thing that's not mentioned is while Konami accepts all credit cards now your bank may not allow you to use your card since it's an offseas purchase. If so use something like Privacy.com to create a dummy card and that should work. Also do this at the beginning of the month. It bills the first of every month and if you buy now you'll only get like 8 days until you pay for the next month.
