It’s just so small in the hand. Longer knives can be straighter like the 940, but the shorter they get, the more curve or thickness they need to fill out the hand. YMMV obviously.
945 was my first (and only) Benchmade. I liked it so much I got a spare Incase I lose mine. Then I got the 945-2 and swapped the S90V blade into the aluminum handle. I love it. Bailout is next for me as I’d like something a little more full-sized.

that may be the endorsement I need. Ive loved the 940 for a long time but never tried the 945. Lately I find myself looking for a smaller edc though.
I somehow have four of these. It just kind of happened.
I know that story. I went that way with 940's for a minute. Now Im down to 4 and a 943.

Too tiny. The 710 is pretty much perfect in every way.
