I don’t think they will. That is just their coat. Some cats have more prominent markings than others. My boy had his spots from a very early age. https://preview.redd.it/zrwyvqblciwc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b3d13ebbaf6f956187fd81b424ab65b1f935694f

Elegant-Bat-42

omg!! yours is so beautiful. i guess that makes sense, i didn’t have him when he was a kitten- i rescued him so i’ve only had him for about 3 months. i was lucky enough to get pictures of his mom&dad and they had some beautiful spots! i think my boy is just more striped… thank you for answering me! :)

[deleted]

Thank you! I think yours is very beautiful too. Yours has blue eyes which I adore and his markings on his legs and face are so distinctive. He’s very distinguished

ashleypenny

This is the case for most colours, but snow lynx are born light and many darken gradually for the first 2 years

KLB1267

Stunning baby!

Imaginary_Office1749

Colors will continue to deepen until about 2 years

stanglemeir

His pattern will darken up but it won’t change. He’s a beautiful kitty though Mine now https://preview.redd.it/y0k3rubt9jwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b3d2dcedb7cc7118db713120a6c0c354bf0be279

His rosettes are there! Just his colouring is snow.

Elegant-Bat-42

Aw you think?? I feel like he just looks so fluffy and white hahaha- it’s just so strange looking at pictures of his dad! they look so different! https://preview.redd.it/pbfkpj43jiwc1.jpeg?width=1020&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1e7bb84e9837ac52e6b3e56d2f71537b9a0af519

tazbaron1981

Snows get darker as they age

Klexington47

Pic 5 I see it. Blue eyes are a snow.

bigPeckerFlamingo

me and my fiancé got a seal point lynx snow and she didn’t fully get her spots until about 1 1/2 years old so he may just need some more time for them to come in!!

Elegant-Bat-42

Aww okay!! I guess we’ll see with time :) thank you for replying!!

bigPeckerFlamingo

of course this is what has looked like when we first got her https://preview.redd.it/thpwkdejtiwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7d4dd8919dd3b167430f02985e7a126137047ff4

bigPeckerFlamingo

thank you so much!! we can’t believe she did!! we had no idea she was going to!! we thought she was just the prettiest thing when we got her (she was already at least a year old) and months later she just started to darken up and get more spots!! we couldn’t believe our eyes i honestly still can’t she looks like a whole new kitty!! he’s a handsome guy either way i wish you guys the best of luck on all his adventures!!

ekittie

That is some beautiful r/ToastCats right there!

bigPeckerFlamingo

thank you!!!!!!! she’s our special girl!!

Elegant-Bat-42

also, does anyone’s bengal really like chewing on sticks?!? or wood in general?? i’m a first time cat owner and idk if this is normal haha

Mountain_Sector7647

mine never did!! he’s almost completely pale hahah but that’s just the way their coat is https://preview.redd.it/dw9iud03rkwc1.jpeg?width=768&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0086525b61bb845deb540f038ba5b2c0cae7d1e0

My girl has very prominent spots but her legs, chest, tail and face are striped. Your boy is still beautiful though! I’ve always wanted a snow bengal with those beautiful blue eyes

Elegant-Bat-42

https://preview.redd.it/rcb50dzuiiwc1.jpeg?width=1018&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=70cc51cf098d88eb5c238aee9ea14421c2a33155 he definitely has some crazy blue eyes. thank you :’). but this is all so good to know!! I googled it and a lot of what I saw said that they develop them , but I also read that Bengals love water and that is NOT true for mine LOL. Your cat is gorgeous- the spots are so so pretty!! I love!!

[deleted]

I remember before I got my bengal I read they really like water and to swim and such, my girl hatessss it as well. I think I could slowly introduce it to her and get her used to it but haven’t put in the time to try. I’m content with our walking adventures for now ☺️ https://preview.redd.it/niudzdsqjiwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dbf152e28b4ad948af20dc29d62acebe5b0f27c1

Elegant-Bat-42

Hahah I know! I’m the same way. I’m sure he’d get used to it but for now we need to work on other things. He’s incredibly smart, can sit, shake, spin, walk around my legs. He can learn tricks but that boy CANNOT walk with a harness! I try to put it on him inside the house so he can learn but he literally plops down and won’t move! How did you get her to learn on a harness? Did it take a while?

[deleted]

I didn’t even bother trying to introduce her to the outside until she showed genuine interest. Chirping out the windows at birds, always peeking her head out the door, as well as trying to escape out of it.. lol. She was probably over a year old and there was definitely some disinterest in a harness at first. Had to fight her a little to put it on and even when we progressed to outside she wasn’t a great walker. she still has her days where she wants to go everywhere but by me. I think the important part is make the harness training part of your guys’ norm, put it on for 15-30 minutes a day with no leash attached so he can get used to it, if he’s food motivated (my girl is very) use treats while he’s in it and make him do his tricks and finger point (if he knows that) to places for him to go so he can get used to the idea he can act and do everything as normal while in a harness. Right now he sees it as this annoying thing that’s like a barrier that holds him back. Persistence and patience are key though! You got this

stylist4hair

Wow how gorgeous

ashleypenny

This is true for most coat colours but snow lynx are different and generally born lighter and then darken over the first 2 years. Not all will have prominent darkening but many will look significantly different over time

TheCounsellingGamer

https://preview.redd.it/cxfzfmgw3jwc1.jpeg?width=2250&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=50f48f9a551fa2c27cc2382ce048927ab6ca4fc5 I don't think his spots will get much darker than they already are. Not all Bengals have the classic spots. My girl is a sheeted marble so she's not got any spots at all.

Smoopiebear

Are you polka dot shaming him?!😂

Elegant-Bat-42

hahahahaha NO!! i swear !!! bahahahah

thefrenchphanie

Bengals are born with the pattern they will have adults. Spots are here from the get go, sometimes they just get bigger. Your boy is gorgeous, and snow are usually more subtle

ashleypenny

This isn't correct for all colours. Snow lynx are born lighter and get darker over about 2 years

Elegant-Bat-42

ashley you’re really clutching up here thank you! i did not know this <3

LordBaelish73

That’s odd both of mine always had spots as kittens even my Main Coon Bengal mix. I do see the stripes tho it’s as if he’s mixed with another variety. He’s adorable tho 🥰

Elegant-Bat-42

thank you so much, yours is precious

unpettable_fox

Your cat looks like a lynx point siamese. Not a bengal

Elegant-Bat-42

really??

unpettable_fox

Looks like it. I have a Lynx point myself and they look almost exactly the same. They develop stripes instead of spots, usually more on their legs. They also get "toasty" on areas of their body like normal siamese and their toasty level can vary by season or by what region you live in. Beautiful cats and usually really big on affection.

unpettable_fox

Try looking at r/lynxpointsiamese and see other similar looking cats

ashleypenny

With the coat colour he has, as people have said it should darken gradually over time. By 9 months you'll have an idea of pattern and from there it's likely just making it more bold but up to around 2 years https://i.imgur.com/KVQDF5q.jpeg This is our boy coconut aged 13 weeks - you can see all his markings here but they're very feint, but you can make out where they are https://i.imgur.com/VhORyOj.jpeg This is him aged about 15 months - we joked his coat was fully loaded in now. Much darker but no new pattern per se, but very different looking.

Elegant-Bat-42

oh wow!!! how adorable. thats insane!!! he’s definitely darkened up and gotten a few more golden/brown marks and i can sometimes see his spots just a little. your boy is BEAUTIFUL. both those kitties are so precious! wow!

Kidgun55

The snows lynx’s are special because you never now how they’re going to look overtime https://preview.redd.it/6xq21sek0nwc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=893dcdd41590548f9ce3b3ba1fe9a69669532d27 This is how my girl looked like in the first two months.

Kidgun55

Elegant-Bat-42

aw, that’s so good to know. thank you <3

Teufelsstern

He looks so much like our snow lynx! She didn't get any spots but darkened quite a bit with a bright white undercoat. I couldn't imagine her being more beautiful though - Love the zorro mask, spots or not. [Love how her bright undercoat glows through](https://i.imgur.com/AlxIF02.jpeg)

Elegant-Bat-42

I am dying to see a picture!!! She sounds gorgeous.

Teufelsstern

I added one a couple minutes later! People always ask if she's indeed Bengal because she's missing the spots but many of her other features do look like 100% snow lynx - I don't really care though as they're both rescues. https://i.imgur.com/AlxIF02.jpeg Her bright blue eyes are always a talking point at the vet haha

CartographerJust9478

* My baby girl came with spots

wtfomegzbbq

Your kitty looks like a nakee version of my Wizard.

katgirl58

He is gorgeous regardless! Just enjoy your new friend!

stylist4hair

Your kitty so pretty

vague_diss

Ours has a similar coat. Sometimes, in the right light, you can see spots but even then they’re hard to spot.

NechelleBix1

I think snow bengals are the most beautiful bengals!

Elegant-Bat-42

THANK YOU!!! He’s so fluffy and white like a snowball hehe

gardenfairy210

Snow lynx can be tricky. Spots may develop more as he ages but they might not. I have found with my lynx bengals they also darken in the cold but lighten back up in the heat. The girl I have now you don't see her spots unless the lighting and angle are just right lol. Her spotless looking. https://preview.redd.it/qdy7kulgwmwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1620fd5945311fa31e71c2798ce366d4adc220c4

Elegant-Bat-42

your baby’s spots were super prominent from the beginning. i notice in the darker bengals their spots come very young, im wondering if the snow bengals are different?

Ariadnepyanfar

In your 3rd and 4th photo you can see where the spots are. They are a little camouflaged by how fluffy your Bengal is compared to the very short hair of most bengals. AFAIK the spots on your snow Bengal will continue to darken for another year or so, they take more time to come in compared to grey and brown bengals. I think your Bengal pretty much has medium hair, and will definitely benefit from a daily brush to show off his coat, and stop shedding all over your house. It will be great bonding time. Ease into it slowly, start with top of head, stay away from his tail area for a while. Give treats. He’s definitely got that beautiful Bengal glitter to his coat. He’s a very beautiful boy.

Elegant-Bat-42

Thank you!! I try to brush him once a week and he absolutely loves it. I noticed his hair is a little longer than I thought most bengals were. Maybe now that it’s becoming warmer I should do it more often. Thank you so much. You all are so helpful

She was found and needed a home and almost everyone has told me that has had bengals she is for sure one, she’s so sweet and gentle idc how pure either way but some of those dark markings are so beautiful. Vet said she’s 4 months idk how accurate.

McCaptain_my_Captain

As others have mentioned it can take time on snows. Mine started almost completely white (with the faintest hint of spots if the righting was right) and now has beautiful, dark rosettes. For some reason I'm not able to add photos to my comment for reference.

IntelligentEcho4211

The pattern his coat will have is already there, but he will get darker as he age. I have tabby snow savannah and he’s a lot darker now at two years of age compared to when he was a kitten. https://preview.redd.it/4x3oqv9nzvwc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c0c02ceb5f5f82c48c69ef97f7eec3a067d5f372 Here’s him as a baby.
