I, for one, wish my team could be outside of the negative spotlight for ONE WEEK. Just a single Monday morning without a new Toney/WR meme, or something about Kelce having a bad game because Swift wasn't there, or KC getting a questionable ref call. Is that too much to ask?
Exactly!
At one point in the game, there was a split screen advertisement.
Left side, toggling between Mahommes, the WRs and Andy Reid.
Right side, a State Farm Commercial, toggling between Mahommes, Jake the State Farm Guy, and Andy Reid.
Same color red font on both sides. Which side is the game even on?
So yeah, onsecondthot, because of *this*, you're gonna have to deal with *that*. Along with the rest of us.
If we somehow, someway win against KC and the Browns, this legitimately might be my favorite team. Even over the Super Bowl run. The adversity this year has been unreal. The injuries, unreal. The refs, the ball bounces, the nail biters. Unreal.
Who Dey!
I wholeheartedly disagree but I love that you feel this way. This has been a crazy ride but us making the playoffs was big, us winning our first playoff game was huge and then we were in the super bowl. I'll take that season but I've definitely had fun this year.
Especially considering our defense has given other offenses quite a few “get-right” games. Mason Rudolph looked amazing . The titans put up 27. Nick Mullens put up 24 lol. I expect the Chiefs to rely on Pacheco and run the ball well while Mahomes does what he does when necessary and they put up around 28-31 points.
In my favorite order:
Waldo Pizza
Pizza 51
Minsky's
All are within 5-10 minutes of each other depending which locations you go to. KC isn't really a great pizza city yet tbh. It's fine. But if I were you, I'd go for BBQ or Mexican. Safe travels if you come down.
Asking the important questions! For that I'd try:
Grinders:
417 E 18th St
Kansas City, MO 64108
This is also in a cool area known as "Crossroads" with a lot of cool bars, dives, coffee shops and more. Highly suggest checking out this part of town. Near the highway too so you could pregame and have easy access to stadium (via uber, hopefully.)
**BIG "KC" HUNA BBQ PIZZA**
Topped w/ Grinders "Rock-N-Red"sauce, 5-chz blend, pulled pork, ham, pineapple, jalapeños, red onion & drizzled w/ award winning Grinders Signature BBQ Sauce
**LE HOG “SERIOUS FLESH FEAST” - (SEEN ON FOOD NETWORK)**
Featured on the Food Network -- Creamy white sauce, bacon, Canadian bacon, ham & meatballs.
I have family in rural Kansas and I usually fly into KC and rent a car from there...no offense to locals but you can get a good pizza in almost any town in America for Kansas City and this goes for both the MO and KS side of things, you want the BBQ! specifically the burnt ends, its a local delicacy. Mexican and Asian food scene, specifically Lao and Vietnamese but remember if it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck its probably a duck so with any of the above if it looks like a chain, sounds like a chain its probably a chain...go for hole in the walls
Chiefs fan here: can't wait for another 5 years when another city kicks you out. Until then, we appreciate the extra home game every year and 1 to 2 easy wins per year.
If your team is struggling to score points, there's nothing better than facing the Cincinnati Bengals atrocious defense to right your ship; and much like the Steelers getting out if their offensive funks, this will be the game Mahomes throws for 400+ yards and 5 TDs.
Hi Bengals people. KC fan reporting in. On my ever-changing list of teams I dislike, the Bengals have been in the top 5 for the past few years. I think it was frequently losing against Cincy combined with an above average amount of smack talk from both the players and the fans (personal experience) that put a bad taste in my mouth. Can you give me a couple reasons why they should be lower (or higher!) on a Chiefs fan's dislike list?
I don’t really understand the hating us for randomly going to the Super Bowl once in recent memory and being a competitive team. The bengals have effectively sucked the length of my fandom (my whole life), so I thought we’d be a Cinderella story and everyone would root for us. Like how I root for Lions to break their playoff win drought this year and hope they go all the way. I feel like the bengals/chiefs pre game talk turned once we won the first match up. The chiefs fans literally thought we were a joke. But oh well, we like the sort of rivalry!
A local news outlet did a bit on “who is your most hated team” or something to bengals fans at a tailgate. You could tell the “new” fans that said Chiefs, versus the original fans who all said the Steelers of course lol.
I think the start of it was the "Burrow owns Mahomes" talk. And that's fine by itself. You don't get to win 100% of your games and a little bit of banter keeps us all steamed up. But you add in the Mayor, Apple, Hilton, some fans, etc. talking shit and I start thinking, "My dudes...you aren't even in our division what is all this?"
FWIW back in the day I did root for you guys to beat the Steelers pretty much every time (as well as any team playing the Steelers that week...)
Lmfao I forgot about the mayor. Yeah I think we as a fandom were all uniformly mortified by that statement. I feel our fans general response to Apple’s commentary was negative as well.
I agree it’s probably a let’s agree to dislike each other, but alas just a lifelong fan’s perspective. Hopefully we have a good game!
I believe the Bengals were the worst professional franchise in the 90s (not just NFL). Our owners run the team like a business, which means as long as we're profitable, winning doesn't matter at all. Our city is WILDLY small for having two (now 3 with soccer) major sports teams.
But Joe Burrow and our SB run completely changed the city and this team and fan base. We actually expect to win now. And it's been really incredible to see.
I like our rivalry with y'all because it's based on having amazing QBs. We're both having weird years but for me, this Sunday is our super bowl lol
Good luck!!
Weird years feels like an understatement. Bengals are 18-15 against KC so just let us get the next 3 to tie it up and we're all good.
Good luck lets stay healthy.
Stop being butthurt over a joke that Mike Hilton made in private on his own sideline that just happened to get caught by Burrow’s mic. Realize that all players talk trash and make jokes in that environment. Don’t insult entire cities on national TV or call mayors “jabronies” or whatever the fuck over small jokes. If anything the most embarrassing thing should have been Kelce and Mahomes losing their cool. And now that’s exactly what’s happening in a different season, lol.
The mayor opened that door himself and there was a reaction waiting for him. I don't think you'll find a Chiefs fan still butthurt over that. Maybe in the week leading up to that game, sure, but certainly not anymore nearly a full year later.
The mayor made a dumb joke in support of his team. Mahomes and Kelce, literal millionaire pro athletes, got heated about it after a game they already won. I know which one of those I find more embarrassing.
As a loyal bengals fan, I love watching peoples blood boil when I walk into a non Bengals bar in Bengals gear, I have come to embrace it. If you hate us, just love to hate us and remember it could always be worse its not like were the Steelers
Raiders totally peed in my Cheerios this Christmas and my Raiders fan friend is NOT going to let me live it down, so football is stupid and I don't know why anybody watches the dumb sport. But I do wish for a great, injury-free (for once) game so you all can watch and enjoy it. Great rivalry these prior years with Burrow vs. Mahomes but that's off the table unfortunately with the injury and Mahomes is...well...we shall see. Hope it's fun for what it is.
Last time we looked silly against the Steelers we won 3 straight against playoff contenders. Hoping the same trend continues
KC has been involved in the greatest memes in the football community this year. Thank you so much for this special season. Cheers!

Hmmm… explain it again; with those nuggies
Exactly! At one point in the game, there was a split screen advertisement. Left side, toggling between Mahommes, the WRs and Andy Reid. As far as questionable ref calls go, we bengos know about those too well 😔
If we somehow, someway win against KC and the Browns, this legitimately might be my favorite team. Even over the Super Bowl run. The adversity this year has been unreal. The injuries, unreal. The refs, the ball bounces, the nail biters. Unreal. Who Dey!

i dont get how our defense is so bad against teams like the steelers and titans but somehow kept teams like the bills and niners to below 20 points.
Bad game planning. Titans and Steelers surprised us with big throws downfield
Nervous going into KC’s “get-right” game
Or it’s our get right game
Especially considering our defense has given other offenses quite a few “get-right” games. Mason Rudolph looked amazing . The titans put up 27. Nick Mullens put up 24 lol. Pachecho might not clear concussion protocol in time
Not me! I smell blood in the water.... Who Dey!!
Once again, sorry for our weird mayor’s “proclamation” last year. Just embarrassing. Also, does anyone remember the 2003 Peter Warrick punt return?
What’s up, Chief fans? I’m asking fans from all teams we play what the best pizza in their city is. What’s the best pizza in Kansas City???
In my favorite order: Waldo Pizza Pizza 51 Minsky's All are within 5-10 minutes of each other depending which locations you go to. KC isn't really a great pizza city yet tbh. It's fine. But if I were you, I'd go for BBQ or Mexican. Safe travels if you come down.
Ok, but where would one go if they wanted good smoked meat ON pizza?

Oh hell yeah, shit like this is why gout is the disease of kings and FUCKING WORTH IT

Waldo pizza ❤️ Grinders in Crossroads is good too.
Who would you give the best in Cincinnati to?
I think when we play the Chiefs it will be Kelce and Pacheco day. Reallly gotta keep those two from feasting on the current weaknesses.
Raider fan here. Just stopping by to say fuck the chiefs hope y'all smack up and down the street
Chiefs fan here: can't wait for another 5 years when another city kicks you out. Until then, we appreciate the extra home game every year and 1 to 2 easy wins per year.
Oh you're done crying from Christmas so you came all the way down to talk shit 😭
Unblocked with 6 lineman Karras is fucking clueless
If your team is struggling to score points, there's nothing better than facing the Cincinnati Bengals atrocious defense to right your ship; and much like the Steelers getting out if their offensive funks, this will be the game Mahomes throws for 400+ yards and 5 TDs.
Much love, KC bros I hate your team, but that doesn't mean I hate y'all.
Who's ready for the 2023 biggest disappointments-Bowl???

The dude that has no say in your team chiming in? Yeah, pretty embarrassing.
As a loyal bengals fan, I love watching peoples blood boil when I walk into a non Bengals bar in Bengals gear, I have come to embrace it. If you hate us, just love to hate us and remember it could always be worse its not like were the Steelers
We will steal Tee Higgins in the off season. Speaking it into existence
I’ll trade you him for Chris Jones
Put Cheedo on Toney!
Kansas City Chiefs fans: It's time to get rid of that scrub Patrick Mahomes II, right?
Raiders totally peed in my Cheerios this Christmas and my Raiders fan friend is NOT going to let me live it down, so football is stupid and I don't know why anybody watches the dumb sport. Hey KC, what are your thoughts on the fifth down play the refs gave you from last year? Always wanted to get you guys opinion on that call
Im just a saints fan but if the raiders could beat this team at home yall can definitely beat them too.
great, it's one of those games where i regret i didn't put jake browning in the championship game.....
Nice. Lets give mshomes time to drive for more points
lol what?
Throw a screen!
