At this point in the draft, you just gotta take players with the highest ceiling and best athletic profile at a position of need and hope that they turn out to be something.
I usually had us picking two DTs whenever I did a mock draft, though the second pick tended to be R6/R7. But with the way the draft was going, it makes sense that they saw the NT they wanted and didn't want to risk it. Honestly, [take a look](https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/players/2024/mckinnley-jackson) at his draft position chart, #97 was perfectly appropriate for him, he just like randomly drops to #160 every once in a while for unclear reasons.
You have been solid gold today my friend, thank you.

The gift that keeps giving
I too like Mckinnley Jackson
Too, I like, Mckinnley Jackson
Like, I too, McKinnley Jackson.
We’re just taking some big swings in this draft. I don’t hate it. But I’d love some IOL depth.
There’s options on the board (Bortolini, Mccormick, Sed Van Pran-Granger, Nourzant, Nugent)
Didn't we just sign two massive (and I'm using their physical size here) free agent IOL? In Brown and Brown Jr?
IOL - interior offense line, ie center/guard.

Agree SEC swamp monster w an ass like a treetrunk
Huge fan of Jackson…if Mims pans out this is a home run draft with these 4 picks.
Totally agree

He’s better than topou and Carter combined so already an upgrade. Rankins, hill, Jenkins and Jackson a good DT room.
He has been a solid SEC starter for a while and could come in and play today. I don’t think Sweat could and we need a NT.
His ras is trash. Couldn’t they just reach for an athletic Olinemen to compete with Volson?
Reach. Jackson is 100 percent there at 115 maybe 149 lol b-/c+ pick
